Ever since Holmes got injured IMO, the other wingers in the squad are either not good enough (Thomson, Gobern) or playing in different positions (Skacel, Surman). At the start of the season every time Gillett or Schneiderlin got the ball they'd get their head up and ping a ball over to Holmes, we just don't have that outlet anymore and it's costing us dearly. I'd play Skacel left wing and play Mills left back, we'd be a bit weaker in defence but it would at least give us something extra going forward. Playing one of our better players at left back while we **** about with youngster who aren't ready yet on the wing is ridiculous. I hope Holmes comes back asap.

We need to put players in the shop window so we can stay afloat, it's not ideal but when we're getting 14k for home games it's the only way really.

So glad I had an extra two hours in the pub yesterday, such a **** game.

What's happened to Villa? They have been dire today, they should have took 15m or whatever Liverpool offered for Barry. He's been embarassingly bad so far. Joe Kinnear is a bit of a legend though.

Schneiderlin signed on a permanent basis. I think there is a fee agreed for Gasmi, not sure if that's for January or if it's for the end of the season.

Hardly suprising that Powell and II can't find a club. Glad to see JV find a club, he was never the best footballer but he gave his all and you can't ask for more than that really.

Would be a shame to lose him. He's class and easily our best option at right back. Will be a very good player in a few years imo.

At least being a 5.20 kick off the Bristol game should be a decent atmosphere. Hopefully the lads will put on a decent show on TV for once. A performance like WBA last season would be good.

I'm not a massive fan of Hamilton, glad he won mind. Ferrari celebrating then was probably the highlight of my weekend. Such a big epic fail, the look in their faces when they realised was hilarious.

That just shows that even at the highest level young players are naive. Someone should have fouled Jenas rather than let him run 40 yards in the Arsenal half. Clichy should just put his laces through the ball rather than **** about in his own half and Fabregas should have gone for the corner at 4-3 rather than play in Adebayor. They where superb, easily the better team. It was just those three naive mistakes that cost them imo.

It's a shame we didn't JP or someone of his ilk in charge when we had Bale, Baird, Pele, Kenwnye, Rasiak etc
