Are you really trying to compare a 20 year old to one of the greatest players to ever put on a Southampton shirt?! Of our wins this season: Vs Derby - Lallana scored the goal Vs Noriwch - Lallana won the penalty that put the game out of sight Vs Doncaster - Lallana won the penalty that put the game out of sight Vs Birmingham - Lallana scored I think it's fair to say without Lallana we would be in a far worse position this season. Personally he's one of five players of any class in our squad along with Holmes, Schneiderlin, Surman and Cork. With those five fit and on song along with the likes of Euell, Davis, Skacel, McGoldrick etc we should be fine. With one of more of the 5 out we are in trouble.

I think people are maybe resigned to the fact he's leaving so they're saying they don't mind if he leaves etc He's clearly a very special player, just a shame we didn't give him more first team appearances over the last couple of seasons to help him develop as a player in a more experienced team.

One vs WBA last season One vs Derby One vs QPR Not a great return and he does imo have a problem striking the ball properly. Would be interesting to know how many assists he's got and how many of our penalties have been won by fouls on Lallana. Off the top of my head the penalties against Norwich and Doncaster where won by fouls on Lallana. I think the main problem atm isn't Lallana and McGoldrick in the striking positions but the lack of any sort of threat or penetration from wide areas, we really miss Holmes since his injury, if we had him on the left still I think we'd be in a far more healthy position. With Holmes left and Euell right we would have a well balanced attack, having to use the likes of Smith, Gobern, BWP and Thomson in the wide areas really isn't helping us at all, they aren't ready to start yet IMO.

I think I might have to get some more RAM for my PC, this game is starting to run really slow. I thought it might be my GFX card driver but i've updated that and it's still really sluggish. It's annoying because 2008 run really smooth and this version is like constantly "not responding" and then after a minute sorting itself out.

Cheers.

Thanks mate, will just head down there on the day then. Any ideas what times the trains leave from Southampton central? I did look on the website, way too confusing for me..

Great result. Really glad we got the goal, I was actually quite impressed with pretty much everyone, I don't think Capello can do any wrong for us at the moment. Everything he does turns to gold. Downing, Carrick, Upson and SWP where all superb. Downing was my MOTM, he didn't put a foot wrong all day. He was up and down the left all night and put in some quality crosses. Carrick was a whole load better than Barry, far more assured in posession and better on the ball.

Defoe and Carson should never be picked for England again. Defoe has had more than enough chances and he just can't cut it at this level while Carson is just a disaster waiting to happen.
-
I've got a feeling we could get something up there. Either that or we will end the day with Doyle having scored more goals over the course of the season than our whole club. Lets hope Doyle gets injured tonight.

Will fit in well at Arsenal then.

Going to get the 10.14 train I think, there are 4 of us so we're just going to do the 4 for 2 deal hopefully. Anyone know how much that works out to for Reading and if they do the 4 for 2 on the day? Cheers

Capello said he's not going to start any of the players who haven't played for England before so it looks like it's going to be: -----------James Johnson Upson Terry Bridge SWP Barry Carrick Downing -------Defoe Crouch Basically a bit of a skate-fest. Hopefully Young, Davies and Bent get a run out at some point.

Won my first league game of the season 1-2 away at Watford. Chopra got a brace and all my new signings apart from one where spot on. I've turned the 3D engine off aswell, not impressed with that at all and it's not really running very well on my machine.

Transfer Out: Jason Euell 90k Bartoz Bialkowski 375k BWP 210k Lloyd James 650k Wayne Thomas 180k Transfers in: Fabio - Loan Fran Merida - Loan Michael Chopra - Loan Lucian Sanmartaen - Free Ulises De La Cruz - Free Nik Omladic - 35k Binya - 190k - Looks quality so far a box to box African midfielder with really good stats Mascio - 28k Shelton Martis - 45k - Looks like a bargain, he was on the transfer list valued at 1.2m but WBA only wanted 45k. Adrian Leijer - 500k - Young and quite good, not 100% sure he was worth 500k but I was getting desperate for another CB and he can also play on the left. ---------Chopra Skacel Sanmarean McGoldrick -----Schneiderlin Binya Surman Leijer Cork De La Cruz ---------Davis

Ok, I'll keep hold of him for sure. I was just expecting him to be the dogs ******** from the off. I guess it takes a little bit of training to get him to his full potential.

Just got Merida, Chopra and Fabio all on loan for the rest of the season. Not paying a penny in wages for any of them apart from 6k p/w for Chopra. Nice tips, they all look awesome, especially Chopra he should be class for me this season. Had to sell John, Euell, Bialkowski, James and BWP to give me some money to bring a few new faces in. Mostly looking at some free transfers at the moment and once i've got some decent free's in i'll see where my squad is and spend some money on key areas. The only thing i'm a little bit dissapointed in is how poor Lallana looks, some of the garbage saints players like James and Wotton have much better stats.
-
This game is in danger of turning into a massive joke. It will be at most Terry + James and a bunch of second string players, bit pointless really. Fair play for John Terry saying he wants to play even after picking up his injury, I guess after the last couple of games he really had to though.

1 goal in 6 and that was a penalty. Agree about Carrick, he hasn't had anywhere near enough chances for England. United best central midfielder last season, Barry has been **** this season and Hargreaves is injured. I think he should be are first choice defensive midfielder. Even with Hargreaves fit I think Carrick is the better choice, Hargreaves didn't really have many good games in the centre for United, he's like a more expensive English O'Shea.
-
-----------Hart Johnson Terry Richards Bridge Theo Carrick Lampard Young ------Gerrard ---------Agonlahor That's how i'd play the squad, blood in a few youngsters alongside more established players like Lampard, Terry and Gerrard.
-
Well Rooney missed the United games yesterday, i'm pretty sure he's injured.
-
Dawson ahead of Woodgate?
-
Should be interesting how we try and deal with Doyle. If Lancashire and MS are both injured then I fear the worst Skacel, Perry, Cork and James isn't the most physically strong back four. Could be a battering, should be a good day tho.
-
Why do we have such a problem dealing with meat head strikers like Iwelumo, Adebola etc? Strikers must love playing against us right now, if it wasn't for Davis we would be bottom of the league. Superb again today as he has been all season. I thought Schneiderlin and Lallana where both good again. Surman was dross he couldn't do a thing right, hopefully it's just a blip because he's been great all season.
-
Anyone know where I can bet on over 4.5 goals today? Can only find over/under 2.5 atm.
-
You can't play for more than two in a season. Schneiderlin would be fine to move in January.
