  1. I've had five texts in the last couple of days asking about how many tickets I can get, only one of them from a Southampton fan.
  2. Would be interesting to know how much of our wage budget is wasted on Forecast, Pulis, Pekhart and Smith. Wasted signings there really, would have been better off spending all there wages together on a decent loanee.
  3. They won't play a team full of youngsters. Just look at there bench every week, proven internationals like Tevez, Nani, Anderson, Evans, Brown, Kzsuack, Manucho, Giggs etc aren't first teamers so will be a very strong side.
  4. Well we can't produce Lallanas, Bales and Walcotts everytime. There will always be a few that get through who aren't going to ever be good enough for the Premiership but will be fine in the CCC, the likes of McGoldrick, Best, Lancashire, Gillett etc. I'm not really sure what you're on about with the first part either, Campbell is clearly a much better player than McGoldrick. That doesn't mean McGoldrick isn't good enough for us though. Hull obviously struck lucky getting such a quality youngster on loan from a top four team, just like we have with Cork and Wolves have with Mancienne.
  5. Just checked and it seems I was wront about Wright, no idea why I thought he had been dropped.
  6. Can't see it being true. They need a holding midfielder, a left back and a striker as a priority. Why would they be making crazy bids on a keeper when they should be looking at the likes of Lahm, Villa and Senna. I doubt they will be able to attract any other real world class players. Will be like when Chelsea first got all there money, they will spunk a load of cash on decent premiership players first and a couple of young up and coming players.
  7. A salary cap and a ticket price cap would go a long way to fixing the problems football has at the moment.
  8. If you're on the database I think you should be ok. Other than that find a season ticket holder who will get you a ticket.
  9. Wright can't get in the Ipswich team. Almunia will never play for England. Kirkland has asked not to be included in the England setup. 7th choice \o/
  10. If they wanted to get the spirit of Southampton back then they would do things like that. I'm not too bothered about paying 30 quid tbh, it's the same as i've paid for a couple of away games. Anything more and I probably wouldn't have gone. Would have been a nice gesture to give the tickets a few quid cheaper to ST holders. Would probably add up to a fair amount of money at the end though.
  11. I reckon if he got injured for a few games people would realise he's not half as bad as they think.
  12. Fraizer Campbell is an under21 international from Uniteds accademy, Hull offered 7m for him in the summer and Man United declined. He also played upfront with some experienced strikers in Widnass and Folan. He's a premiership class player, we don't need players to be that good, we need players who are good enough for the bottom half of the CCC since we're a bottom half CCC side. It's like saying Surman is useless because he isn't as good as Cork.
  13. Why do you keep calling him Dobie?
  14. £28 isn't too bad, paid more than that to see Charlton and QPR. Would be ****ed off it it's anything more than £30 though.
  15. Should be an interesting early indication if the likes of Skacel, Surman, Lallana and Schniederlin pick up a knock in training just before the game.
  16. Beating United in the replay in our grey kit would be awesome. That would be the best possible outcome.
  17. Ronaldo and Henrik Larrson are both out of contract. We really could do with getting an experienced striker to help out, in January when Robertson and Pekhart go back we will be left with Euell, McGoldrick and Patterson. It would only take an injury or a suspension and we'd be in deep ****. I'm sure there must be someone willing to come here on loan or a short term contract, Healy is at Sunderland and hasn't played a minute yet. Keane keeps going on about trimming him squad, he would be a decent loan if we could agree a deal with Sunderland.
  18. It's almost as strange as the Pulis deal. Maybe Spurs forced him on us when we asked if we could take some of the Bale money early.
  19. Block 41, wasn't a lot of booing but certainly a fair few idiots giving him some stick. I agree with your second sentence, he isn't anywhere near ready to be our main striker. If he was coming on for 30 minutes or playing alongside an experienced striker we would be in a fair better position and he would be learning his trade from another striker who could help show him the ropes. Hopefully Euells return will help him and the team.
  20. At least it's not an early start on the Sunday should get a few hours drinking before the game. Will probably be my first day back at work on the Monday, sucks.
  21. I'm not sure how much you've seen of McGoldrick over the last couple of weeks but he has definatly upped his work rate since Wolves. I know at the start of the season he wasn't working as hard as others and he has a bit of an un-interested look like he isn't motivated but he's really turned the corner in that department over the last 4-5 games. He got booed when he came off against Plymouth and he worked as hard as anyone out there that game and he also came closest to scoring. He's being made out as a scapegoat by a lot of supporters.
  22. Can't see Wigan wanting to sign Cork, they've been pretty solid at the back even Scharner can't get a game at the moment. They're 11th in the league, not bad at all. Bolton maybe but that only be because of Corks old man in the coaching setup, they've been solid all season as well. 9th in the league is hardly in the ****. Blackburn could happen they're terrible, still not sure he's better than Samba or Nelsen, could probably get a game in midfield for them though. I really hope we can keep hold of Cork for the rest of the season, could be vital to us staying in the league. He's a quality player, easily our best loanee since Guthrie. Definatly a premiership player in the future, could do with another 6 months in the CCC though.
  23. Once a few of the boo boys get on a players back then every seems to follow them like sheep. I don't know why some fans feel the need to single out one player for all the blame. I don't see what McGoldrick has done so wrong this season, it's not his fault he's being asked to play upfront alone at 21 or his fault that we shipped of three international strikers on loan. He's doing a decent enough job, he needs to take a few more chances if he's to improve as a player and that should come with time on the pitch and a bit more confidence.
  24. Indeed, people need to remember he's a 21 year old leading the line on his own a lot of the time. There is a lot of pressue it's not going to be easy for him but he will come good.
  25. 5 league goals and two against Exeter in the cup. I know two of seven where penalties but as we've shown over the last couple of seasons scoring a penalty isn't something we should take for granted.
