I think West Brom are after Vela, there's no way he'll go to a CCC outfit. He spent last season in La Liga and is easily good enough for the Premiership. Gibbs, Simpson or Hoyte would all be good though. Still Jack Cork should be the priority atm.
-
Very strange. He's got a really good record in Spain though so he should probably do allright, can't see him being there next season though.
-
We're such a Jekyll and Hyde team, Derby away was one of our best performances which was followed by Blackpool which was probably the worst. I really struggle to understand how the same players can play so much worse, ridiculously inconsistent.

We did and Rudi scored IIRC, wasn't on Sky though. Was on some foreign channel and a few pubs managed to show it.
-
He does try hard but just isn't good enough. I'd start with Patterson as well, get Sterny John back.
-
If we lose any more than one of Lallana, Surman, Cork and Schneiderlin then we are in massive trouble after January. Could do with getting Saga or John back to help out but I doubt that's going to happen.

I would be happy to finish a point above relegation tbh, I said at the start of the season the same. Relegation from this league would be horrible, it's a **** league with some really **** teams, league one would probably be even worse. After the Derby game I honestly thought we would be in amongst the play-offs, didn't take long to realise it was just a one off performance against a poor team. We are such a jekyll and hyde team, for every Derby, Reading or Preston there is a QPR, Palace, Coventry game if we could find some consistency and a goal scorer we would be a mid table side. I feel we lack leadership both on the pitch and from the manager, I do enjoy watching us play this season but we really do need a bit more from some of the lads.

who has been the been best manager since Strachan

Pearson for me. -
I agree, we need some experience up front. Even if we simply can't bring back a loanee or sign someone I'd move Skacel to left wing and play Euell up front. Something isn't right when the most experienced player in your front four is BWP.
-
Was a strange decision from JP, I don't understand why he wasn't included when we had Gillett and Wotton on the bench who do the same job. Wotton and Euell would have offered much more attacking options and the same amount of cover for the defence. Hopefully he was just keeping him for Monday since he played for the reserves the other day.

I thought we played well in the first half, we could beat anyone in the league if we played like that for the full 90 minutes. Lallana was everywhere in midfield and put in one of his better performances of the season, some of his passing was brilliant. He was let down again by his finishing. Second half was shocking and so where the subs, we should have had Euell on the bench instead of Patterson, if we could have brought on an experienced player up front we would have been fine IMO. Our bench was shocking yesterday, I don't see the point in having two holding players like Gillett and Wotton and leaving Gasmi and Euell on the bench, both can change a game. On Monday we have to start Euell and maybe Patterson, we looked toothless and tired up front. Some of the players looked shattered at the end of the game, I wouldn't be suprised to see a few changes for Monday.

Spot on, there are lots of examples all over English football at the moment. The top two in the Premiership have both been shocking at home recently.
-
It's just the way football is going, so many teams are better away from home. Lots of teams are set out to counter attack with 4-5-1 formations, when they are playing away the other side are more obliged to attack and there are more oppurtunities to counter attack.
-
2-0 Surman and Lallana.
-
Very average player in a very average albeit young side. Just like James, Gillett, Lancashire, Skacel, Euell, Thomas, BWP, Dyer, Robertson, Smith etc
-
Anyone know if there is a breakdown of who has taken all the shots?

Rupert getting the hang of football...

There same reserve side that put 5 past Blackburn. They've probably got the best squad in world football, I don't think it makes much difference if they play Rooney or Tevez, Scholes or Anderson, Nani or Park etc -
15 goals from only 38 shots for Doyle, that's very clinical.
-
Anyone who thinks our youngsters are currently better than any player who got to the cup final is on another planet. A few would get into the squad but there's no way they would be starting. We where a very strong, fit, athletic, experienced, well balanced and technically gifted team. Now we're a bunch of in-experienced players who are struggling to get to grips with the physical nature of the league and the amount of games we need to play, we are playing some good football but it's not anywhere near as effective as under WGS. Saying Saga, Skacel, Lallana, Schneiderlin etc would get into the first team ahead of players who did a very good job for us at the highest level is disrespectful imo.
-
I doubt there are many clubs with more than 4 tbh. If you include subs it probably puts the average closer to 6 as well which is really quite good.
-
I would have thought Skacel would be the first one out the door if we could find a buyer. He's probably worth 500-750k and on big wages. And the Everton lad is on loan, I looked on an Everton forum and one of there ITK types said it was a loan deal. Would make sense to replace Skacel with him while Mills learns the ropes a bit and takes over for next season.

His academy no doubt.
