  1. The derby win probably won him some time, at least with the fans. I did watch the Norwich - Ipswich game and Norwich where much better than at SMS, not great but better. Not sure if that's just the derby atmosphere or just a one off. We could do with Reading calling back Lita at some point, don't really want him playing anymore for Norwich.
  2. won 2-1 we drop down one place.
  3. That was their reserves. Either way we're going to get dicked.
  4. The ****. we're going to destroy united.
  5. Aye, with a few red cards in there for good measure.
  6. Watford beating Norwich. Priskin (16)
  7. Stern John has just got one for Bristol City against Ipswich.
  8. Quite a big gap in quality between United and Aalborg tbf.
  9. Man United are really quite good, i'm a bit worried about playing them. Tevez is superb and supposedly not even first choice. Hope Saganowski gets a bit of service, see what he can do.
  10. Thanks for clearing that up.
  11. Yeah all well atm mate, are you coming back from Christmas at all? True what you say, was mostly him playing right back and even left back that ruined him. He was a very good in the centre of midfield. Couldn't really remember which manager started moving him around.
  12. More likely that Jan didn't want to aggrivate his hamstring injury. No point rushing him back again.
  13. He could definatly do with a rest. Same with McGoldrick, they've played pretty much every minute so far. Giving them both a rest could be advantagous for them both and the team.
  14. Not anymore http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/stoke_city/7774110.stm
  15. Never had any problems with Higgingbotham, thought he was a decent player even if he was a bit of a hoofer - will never forget his reaction after he scored against Palace. Delap wasn't my favourite player, I think WGS killed him for us though, playing him all over the place rather than sticking to central midfield.
  16. I just read the match report from the Liverpool game, that really was some side we had back then. Out 16 man squad looks better than the Liverpools, even our bench was strong. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/3249098.stm WGS > Houllier
  17. I know, i'm very glad I got to see Le Tissier for a few years and then some relative success in the Premiership and obviously the cup final. I know one day we will back and hopefully go one step further, I'd love to see Southampton win something meaningfull. I don't really dislike the Championship, still have some quality days even if we're no way near that premiership level now. The only thing I find depressing is how the Skates have really kicked on while we're in a slump with a ****** chairman.
  18. Shocking, so depressing.
  19. Even if 4-4-2 is alien to these players we should at least try it for 20-30 minutes at the end of a game, if we're 1-0 down there is nothing to lose. After all only 4 of our starting 11 are from the academy, I bet the majority of Cork, Euell, Pearce, KD, Perry, Skacel, Morgan and BWP are much more used to a 4-4-2.
  20. I thought he would be an almost perfect player for our front line. A bully with an eye for goal who can hold the ball up well and bring others into play. Funny how two opinions can be so different.
  21. We've been in trouble since the season started, Kelvin has been the only one keeping us out of the bottom three. We've been playing some decent football and had a few good results but we're so inconsistent that relegation is a real threat. If we don't find some consistency and a goal scorer from somewhere then finishing bottom of this very **** league is a possibility. Especially if we lose Cork, KD, Surman, Lallana or Skacel in January. The teams around us will be doing there best to strengthen where we will probably be doing the opposite.
  22. I'd rather play Pearce upfront than bloody BWP as a lone striker.
  23. He wants to make his return for the Forest game apparently. Can't wait for his return, doesn't **** about on the ball and just gets to the byeline and puts balls into the box.
  24. --------Davis James Cork Perry Mills -Schneiderlin Wotton -Surman Euell Skacel ------Paterson Subs: Forecast, Pearce, BWP, Lallana, McGoldrick. Surman on the right isn't ideal but we need to give Lallana and McGoldrick a rest IMO and we need to find a space for Surman, he's the only one who looks like scoring. Surman played some of his best football from the right so if he holds his position well enough then I think he will do well there. The team will probably be more like: ----------Davis James Pearce Perry Skacel ----Schneiderlin Cork ---Lallana Surman BWP -------McGoldrick Personally I don't think there is anywhere near enough experience in the final third with that team, need to go with Skacel and Euell up there to give us some more muscle and experience.
  25. I doubt it will be anything embarassing, I reckon it will be tight until half time maybe 0-0 with us playing some good stuff only for United to bring on a couple of their big guns in the second half and beat us 2-3 nil.
