  1. He scored for Sheffield United on Saturday. I hope he stays in Sheffield tbh, can be a decent player but like a lot of our youngsters he has a high opinion of himself and think he's made it already.
  2. He's going to same way as a lot of young English players. He thinks he's made it because he's got a contract and he's playing every week. In reality he needs to do a lot of work to even make it as a Championship player and he doesn't seem to want to do put any effort in. If he carries on like this he will be playing in League two in a couple of seasons.
  3. Still remember that Pahars goal like it was yesterday. Quality game.
  4. The worst since Bristol Rovers last season, I thought that was the low point stood there watching us getting destroyed in some tin pot ground. I can't believe it's got to the point it has now. Yesterday was definatly worse, we're **** and getting worse. I don't even want to think what Reading will do to us, could be 4 or 5 nil.
  5. You seriously expect the ground to still be full after 90 minutes of that ****e?
  6. I don't think there is much of a difference, plenty of ******s wether it's full or not tbh. I'm dreading United really will be even worse than normal.
  7. Probably only about 2k of the 15k are paying £28. ST holders pay a lot less, kids a lot less etc. I doubt we make any where near 400k per game.
  8. They will take their foot of the gas if it goes past 5 nil and go into cruise control. Can't see it getting embarassing even if they put out a full strength side. Will be interesting to see if any of our players get injured/ill etc before the game and can't play. Wouldn't be suprised to see Davies, Lallana, Euell, Surman, Skacel etc all sit it out to avoid getting cup tied.
  9. It's not too late. Half a season is more than enough time to rescue the season, we have some decent Championship players we just need to get the best out of them and along with a couple of decent loans I think a decent coach/manager could get the best out of them. Billy Davies would be amazing, I reckon he would come if we could afford his wages. We're a big club in this league with good facilities its just the playing staff we're lacking atm.
  10. With the right coaching Lallana will be a good player, not sure if he will be a Premiership player but it's obvious he has the potential. Someone like Hodgson at Fulham could get the best out of him, I reckon.
  11. He would be fine if he was our only powder puff creative midfielder but when we've got 3 or 4 in the same side it's too much. Not that we have many choices at the moment mind, it's obviously better to have someone like Surman than say Wotton.
  12. We don't need two new centre forwards, we need Saga and John back.
  13. Would be a good move. Seems to get the best out of his players but he's poor in the transfer market, likes to play youngsters as well with Ipswich. Would be perfect for us since we just need someone to make us more organised and get the best out of our current crop of players. The Ipswich fans where protesting with banners yesterday at their game so he will be gone soon.
  14. If he brings back Pearson I'd be quite happy.
  15. I'd drop Lallana he's too much of a luxury in our current position, we don't need back heels and running around in circles we need balls into the box and people getting on the end of them. Same with the likes of Gasmi, he's just a luxury we don't need. I'd drop McGoldrick to the bench, he's not the special player he likes to think he is. I'd drop Perry, he's too old to be playing every week and needs a rest. I also think Cork and Pearce could develop a decent understanding together. I'd make every player spend an extra 1-2 hours in training every day practising corners, I don't give a toss if it's Christmas time they get paid enough and we need to work on set pieces. I would put a great emphasis on set pieces, when ever we get a free kick in the attacking half I would make sure the ball goes into the box every time, not sideways and back to the keeper but direct into the box. Both defending and scoring from corners has been terrible recently and needs fixing. Get rid of the passing game and just make sure we get balls in the box, into the channels etc and do it quickly. It's so annoying watching the side **** about with the ball while the opposition get 11 men behind the ball. I'd also play a nice deep defensive line and just knock the ball over the top. Davis James Cork Pearce Skacel Surman Gillett Wotton © Holmes Euell Robertson Bart, Perry, Lallana, BWP and McGoldrick. Gillett and Wotton in middle so we have some presence there, not much creativity but they will both kick players and make tackles, we won't be such a soft touch. Holmes supplying some width and Surman coming inside so we don't get steam rolled through the middle by teams playing 4-5-1. I'd basically tell everyone to by pass the midfield and just play direct to Holmes, Euell and Robertson. The main aim would be to keep it tight and get a goal from nothing. I'd do anything possible to get Stern back up front, even if it means not renewing some of the loans or selling a few players. He could be vital for us, he got us out this **** once and if we're going to do it again we need him here, I don't give a toss about money getting relegated will cost a lot more than 10-15k p/w that he's on, anyone can see this apart from our coaches and chairman. Basically we need to get rid of this stupid idea that we can pass our way out of trouble with some very poor players and a few loans. It isn't working, it was a nice idea and might have worked 2 years ago with Bale, Jones etc but not now with DMG, BWP, Lancashire, Perry etc. We need to go direct and just pump balls in to the box or into the channels, quick break aways and some presence in the side. The side won't magically start scoring goals if we carry on as we are with the tip toe football and we need a drastic change.
  16. I thought James was one of our better players, mainly he got a 6 because of all the running he done and the effort he put in. Lallana and McGoldrick where both very poor. They are two of our main attacking outlets and neither of them made decent runs or could strike the ball properly. Very poor yesterday and they have been for a while tbh.
  17. He has to go, i'd rather have Hockaday in charge for the rest of the season tbh. Needs to be done before it's too late. Sadly there is an article on Sky Sports where he says he won't quit, he's a winner and winners don't quit.
  18. Davis 5 - A couple of decent saves but that was it really. James 6 - One of his better games, not a defender but he at least put in a shift and tried hard yesterday unlike the rest of the team. Perry 3 - Shocking, obviously can't play every game and is suffering. God knows how he is going to cope with so many games in a short space coming up. Pearce 3 - Looked good the first three times he played and terrible ever since, yesterday was even worse than Palace. Skacel 4 - Got into some good positions but his crossing was really off. Again not a full back but he did link up well with Holmes. Cork 6 - Not his best game but he was still head and shoulders above most our midfielders. We will be in a terrible position if he leaves in January when his loan move is up. Surman 5 - One decent shot that hit the post and a few decent runs, looked like he might do something in the first half but fadded badly in the second. Lallana 3 - Powder puff twinkle toed and totally ineffective. We can't keep making room for a luxury player like this in our current position, lots of potential if he gets the right sort of coaching but right now i'd happily sell him in January if we can get a decent replacement. Seems to think he's some sort of 20 year old Steven Gerrard when in reality he's all tricks with zero end product. Euell 2 - Worst performance since this time last year - totally shocking. Holmes 5 - The only good thing to come out of the game was Holmes performance, glad he's coming back to fitness we really need him. McGoldrick 3 - Out of his depth, not fair on the lad that he's having to lead the line on his own. BWP - Not my favourite player but he should have started in place of Lallana, far more effective. Gasmi - Rather have Thomson on the bench. I really don't understand why we have no one in the squad who can take a corner or even strike the ball, it's embarassing. It can't be that hard to just spend an extra hour every day with Surman and Lallana practising corners. I can't remember one decent corner, everyone seemed to be cleared easily by the first man.
  19. Or Saganowski. The only way we will get Lupoli if it's on loan and Fiorentina don't mind paying the majority of his wages. Even then I think we could find better for our system, a midget upfront wouldn't be ideal, he would probably score more than McGoldrick/Robertson/Pekhart but he's still not ideal.
  20. oh lol
  21. He will end up at Ipswich, I reckon.
  22. Gillett can come on for someone allowing Cork to play anywhere along the back four.
  23. Just checked on a Norwich forum to see why he hasn't been playing and apparently they all think he's brilliant but the manager doesn't seem to fancy him at all. He's on loan for the whole season but think they might try to cancel his loan deal as they're trying to sign Lita for a knock down £300,000.
  24. 2m for a striker who can't even get into the norwich side consistently?! That would be madness, we could get Lita for less than that... Not too mention our jam log of strikers who are all out on loan. I doubt Lupoli is worth more than 500k.
