  1. Would like to see Gillett and Schneiderlin together in the centre as well but then you have a problem fitting in Surman, prehaps he could play from the right with Holmes on the left? Not idea but I think we need a hod carrier in the middle like Gillett to go with all our fancy dan twinkle toe midfielders.
  2. He hasn't scored 9 league goals mate, 2 of his 9 or 8 where against Exeter. 1 vs Cardiff 1 vs Derby which wasn't even really his goal, Lallana knocked it over the line. 1 vs Norwich 1 vs Coventry 1 vs Preston 1 vs Reading 1 vs Barnsley 2 vs Exeter in the Cup Still if he gets 15~ league goals it will be a decent total for a young player in a struggling team, really need Saga to get 10 or so in the remaining games for us to stay up though.
  3. Having our injured players return makes quite a big difference as well. Holmes and Schniederlin are both so important to our game, we really miss them. Saejis replacing Svensson in defence as well.
  4. I didn't go yesterday so can't comment on that but overall this season I think he deserves a place. He's at least got a goal threat and a bit of pace. We need all the goals we can get and I think BWP has more chance of getting a goal from the right than Lallana.
  5. That's pretty crap if true, Lallana should be on the bench like any other player coming back from injury into a winning side. I like the idea of McGoldrick and Saga forming a bit of a relationship and I don't really like Lallana on the wing. Lallana would be a decent impact sub as well, where he should stay for Doncaster imo.
  6. They are struggling to break teams down because three of their first choice four midfielders are injured, hardly suprising.
  7. 8 if you include the Derby goal which he got given even though Lallana knocked it in.
  8. If we stay up I think he will stay.
  9. They spent more time interviewing Clough on a game that didn't go ahead than they spent on our game. It's ridiculous, just like their **** poor FA cup highlights where Forest - City got about 30 seconds and the Liverpool game which had been on ITV 3 hours earlier got 20 minutes. ITV are ****.
  10. At the start of the season we where playing quite well though, it was after the QPR game where things went to pot. Schneiderlin, Svensson and Holmes all being injured at the same time was probably the main reason as it screwed up the youngster/experience balance a fair bit.
  11. I think the balance between experience and youngsters was perfect yesterday. Apart from maybe a hard tackling midfielder next to Schneiderlin, but even that was sorted towards the end when we needed to shore things up. In defence we had two in experienced players and two old heads. One youngster in midfield with three semi experienced players and upfront it was one and one. That's the same sort of balance most teams in this league have so it's hardly some radical new system we're playing. As long as we keep that balance and can keep Saijis, Perry, Davis, Saga, Holmes and Schniederlin fit I think we should be ok. Signing a decent central midfielder on loan would be good as well, someone like Dailly would be perfect imo since he's also versatile.
  12. We have had our fair share of bad luck and some **** poor performances at home, while away we seem to have had a bit more luck and a few things have gone our way. I wouldn't be suprised if by the end of the season it's a bit more balanced.
  13. We play a counter attacking game with a conter attacking formation. Teams are more inclined to attack at home so we get more space and time on the ball and generally get better results. At St Marys teams play a more tight game, nearly everyone who comes to SMS plays with two banks of four behind the ball for 95% of the game and that doesn't suit us at all because we don't get any space to exploit. We obviously struggle to break teams down and the opposition grow in confidence and quite often snatch a goal.
  14. Great result BUT if we don't follow it up with a win against Doncaster then it will be pointless imo. We got good results against Derby, Reading, Preston etc and just followed it up with a shocking home performance. We need to buck the trend and get a home win against a poor Doncaster side. This results should hopefully give us some confidence and another home win would really help our cause. Hopefully DMG keeps scoring!
  15. Last time we won three in a row was the end of our play off season. We beat Leeds, Norwich and Southend. Last season we won twice in a row at home vs West Brom and then Cardiff.
  16. Indeed, i can't see Molyneux starting unless JP really rates him highly.
  17. I can't see Molyneux starting, has he even played a reserve game for us yet? I reckon we will stick Surman at left back again and play Wotton or Gillett next to Schneiderlin.
  18. Bit harsh on Gillett, he's a decent enough midfielder you need a few players like him to go with all the fancy dan creative players. I'd start him alongside Schneiderlin in the middle, or maybe even Wotton and Schneiderlin. I really don't like Surman playing in the middle in an away game. Glad to see Saga back in the squad, hopefully he and Saeijis both start. Looks like Skacel is off anyway, shame really. ---------Davis James Saeijis Perry Surman --Gillett Schneiderlin BWP McGoldrick Holmes -----Saganowski Bart, Wotton, McGlaggon, Lancashire and Smith.
  19. Lets hope he signs. Saga, Pato, McG and Lupoli would be a decent strikeforce. Not really sure how Lupoli would work in our system unless we stick him upfront with someone.
  20. I think someone said in another thread they have under soil heating.
  21. James at right mid would probably give us a bit of balance in midfield, can't see us signing a RB though. That would probably be 3rd or 4th priority.
  22. A hard tackling midfielder to play next to Schneiderlin and a brick **** house up front and with the right coaching I think we could stay up with out current squad. Could probably afford to lose Skacel and Euell if the CM and CF where both good enough. Wouldn't mind losing one of Surman or Lallana to fund the signings either. Lots of pressure on the new Dutch CB and Saga to hit the ground running though, both will be very important I hope there isn't too much pressure on them.
  23. -------------Davis James - Perry - Saejis - Skacel Surman - Morgan - Gillett - Holmes ---------McGoldrick ------------Saganowski
  24. Because we're currently playing either Ryan Smith who has even less end product or Adam Lallana who just isn't cut out for right wing. Other than that we have BWP who could possibly do a job there.
  25. Need to turn our home form around against Doncaster. If we can't get a home win against them then we are as good as down. We need to go on a decent run at home and it needs to start somewhere.
