  1. Just wants first team football, I reckon.
  2. Seems to me like we've been playing that for ages! McGoldrick and Lallana spend the majority of the game ****ing around in midfield.
  3. I think Lallana is back in training now so he's available. I'd just start him on the bench for this one and bring him on if needed. I don't really like Gillett either but think he works well with Schneiderlin.
  4. Indeed it does seem a strange signing if we're going to continue playing one upfront. That's why I thought we might play him right wing, I can't see McGoldrick being dropped and Saga if he's here would have to be playing as well. Still i'd rather Lupoli was playing for us than a relegation rival Norwich, just not sure how he would fit in.
  5. We didn't handle Mills or Craine well at all. Both should have been playing a lot more than they did, Burley insistance on playing the likes of Powell, Pele, Wright and Ostlund in defence while Craine wasn't even in the squad was a joke. Craine showed he had the ability to play for us up at Pride park although he was probably already gone by then. It's hardly suprising they left us imo, we would be in a really strong position if we kept hold of them both. A back four of Skacel, Perry, Mills and Craine would be a whole lot better than some of the crap we've seen this season.
  6. Skacel is suspended, 5 yellows. -----------Davis James Saeijis Perry Molyneux -----Gillett Schneiderlin Surman McGoldrick Holmes ----------Saga That side should batter Doncaster, I think if we get an early goal we could go on to get 2 or 3. Then again I thought that before Blackpool, Forest etc
  7. He's a midget but really quick with an eye for goal. Typical Arsenal player, really skillfull and good on the ball. I think he's played from the right so maybe we're looking at him to play right wing. Basically he's the opposite to what you say we need, he's a very good player just not a target man type. I looked on a Norwich forum when I first saw we where linked and there where a few threads who where ****ed with Roeder for not picking him in the side, apparently they where chanting his name while he was on the bench but Roeder was too stubborn to bring him on. He ticks all the boxes Rupert would look for as well. Young, loads of talent which he hasn't lived up to and available on the cheap. http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/norwich/7808193.stm
  8. Good news if true. Hopefully it doesn't mean we're looking to move Saga on though.
  9. Pele or Dailly on loan would be decent. Not really sure of any promising young midfielders we could get on loan from the premiership but i'm sure there are a few out there we get get for 6 months.
  10. Dunfords, that's the one. He seemed like a good bloke when I met him.
  11. Yes... Was great against Derby imo, certainly showed he had potential.
  12. It's very small time. I'm glad we've knocked the "easy, easy, easy" bull**** on the head.
  13. Works as a foreman in Lymington for a local building company, can't remember the name of the firm now though. Did a bit of work on a site he was looking after last summer, didn't know he was an ex Saints player until we moved on to the next job and someone told me he was an FA cup winner.
  14. A midfielder who can tackle would be priority and maybe a right winger. Dailly would be a great signing for six months. Cover for right back, centre back and a decent midfielder to play alongside Schneiderlin and he would give us a bit of presence and leadership. Not really sure about who we could bring in for right midfield, I reckon Poortvillet will persist with Lallana on the right with Smith and Mcglaggon as cover anyway so it's not worth thinking about. If we signed Dailly on loan and didn't lose any players i'd start to fancy our chances of staying up.
  15. Quashie is **** and West Ham are in massive financial trouble. Newcastle rejected the 2m bid for Barton. As for values falling just look at Defoe, Diarra, Beattie, Etherington etc
  16. It's sods law isn't it, still will be watching the result on SSN. Really think we can win this game though, quite confident.
  17. Gave it to someone else, sorry mate.
  18. That's a stupid list, usually marcotti is spot on with such lists and well he's one of the better pundits but that list is a joke. Anyone who has watched Saints this season will tell you that Schneiderlin is far more of a prospect than McGoldrick, i'm not saying Schneiderlin should on there either just how stupid it is to include McGoldrick.
  19. He played against Barnsley.
  20. I can't go on Saturday, first home game i've missed for about 3 season. Almost nailed on win imo.
  21. We've lacked experience in the final third all season. No one making the right sort of runs or getting into goal scoring positions. Hopefully now with Saga up there we might start seeing these things more often and hopefully the goals will come. Now we have all our attacking players fit and available hopefully they will settle and work well together. Up until this point our strikers have been pretty poor although it's a bit unfair to moan too much about someone like McGoldrick playing his first proper season as a lone striker in a poor side.

  23. It isn't great but I don't think it's the reason for our poor home form. Every away ground i've been to this season has had a far worse atmosphere than St Marys. I think if we get a win against Doncaster we will get a bit of confidence back and could go on a bit of a run at home. Doesn't even matter if it's another lucky win like Saturday, anything will do to just break the mental block that we can't win at home.

  25. Would like to see Gillett and Schneiderlin together in the centre as well but then you have a problem fitting in Surman, prehaps he could play from the right with Holmes on the left? Not idea but I think we need a hod carrier in the middle like Gillett to go with all our fancy dan twinkle toe midfielders.
