  1. More chance of beating one of the better teams who think they're in for an easy ride.
  2. And rightly so, the bloke's a **** and pretty much useless.
  3. Depressing topic but probably 1-3, realisticly we need to win 5+ but we probably won't. The only way we're going to stay up is if we can keep up our away from while grinding out draws at home and hoping there are 3 teams worse than us which is a possibility since there are so many **** teams in the league.
  4. I'm going to this one, hopefully will be a bit better than my last trip to Bristol for the cup game.
  5. It's unbelievable. How can Southampton fans be so critical of WGS, ridiculous considering how far we've fallen since then. I'd give my right arm for WGS to be picking out our players atm, some of the **** we've brought in recently has been embarassing. Other than Andrew Davies I really can't think of any good signings for ages.
  6. --------- Davis James Perry Saeijs Skacel ---- Morgan Gillett McLaggon Lallana Holmes --------- Saga Bart, Lancashire, Smith, Euell and McGoldrick No point playing 4-4-2 away when the 4-2-3-1 has brought us a fair amount of success on our travels, McGoldrick is unfortunate to miss out but I think he could do with a rest and Lallana is a better player in the hole and the better choice away from home. McLaggon starting to give us some pace, think he will stretch teams more than BWP.
  7. As much as I like Surman i'd rather see a proper ball winner alongside Schneiderlin. If Schneiderlin could actually tackle and got stuck in a bit the partnership would be perfect but at the moment they're too similar and i'd rather he played alongside Gillett. Don't think Gillett is great either tbh, just he has something about him which Schneiderlin and Surman lack. Wouldn't be the worst move if we sold him for 2m~ and spent a bit of it on a loan/signing of a midfielder with a bit of experience. Would be sad to see a local lad go though.

  9. I'd have loved to see Theo stay but he has shown why he left. He's a massive part of the England and Arsenal setup and he's still only 19. Just because he wasn't in the Arsenal team from the off doesn't mean he wasn't progressing as a player. A year with the Arsenal reserves with their facilities has shown to be as good as if not better than a year our first team. He's gone from strength to strength up until his unfortunate shoulder injury.
  10. What horrible news, If this is true then the Watford and Bristol City games should be interesting. I hope there is a knight in shining armour ready to bail us out before administration hits. Only seems like yesterday we where on the pitch at St Marys celebrating survival, seems like it was all in vain.
  11. I thought he was going to do so well after the Derby game, probably the best and most enjoyable Southampton performance i've seen in the CCC. The next game in the cup against Birmingham was more of the same and we even brought in a few fringe players (Cork, Thomas, Wotton and Bart) Sadly the writing was on the wall not long after, the following game against Blackpool was the total opposite we where just embarassing trying to defend against a more direct team. I still think if we went back to a similar side to the Derby game and someone can install a bit of confidence we can avoid relegation, just seems Jan has lost the dressing room and the bad home results have drained all confidence. Lowe and Jan's handling of the more experienced players haven't helped things at all either. I guess a lot of teams have worked out how to play against us, which just shows up the manager as not being able to change things when we need to.
  12. We've got sellable assets. Sell Surman/Lallana and get a new manager and give him total control of first team stuff and use any money left over to get some experience in on loan. Need a manager in who can united the dressing room, get people like Skacel and Euell wanting to play for us again. Someone to work on the players fitness and confidence and we will be fine even with Surman and Lallana sold.
  13. If I was the chairman i'd sell anyone in the squad to make some money to change the manager, something needs to be done.
  14. Not backing Pearson was a stupid decision, still don't understand the thinking behind that one. He had experience working with the squad, experience working with youngsters (u21's) and if we had 1.2m to spend on Schneiderlin we clearly had enough money to pay Pearsons wages. He had even shown he wasn't scared to chuck youngsters into the team off the top of my head Lallana, Poke, Gillett, Baseya and McGoldrick where all involved with the first team during his stint. Basically just getting rid of a manager because he didn't like the people who appointed him in the first place, such a petty thing to do which sums up Lowe perfectly. I honestly think with Pearson in charge we would be midtable with 17-18k at every match, would probably be a lot more direct than our tinkle toed triangle **** atm but it would be far more effective. Come back big Nige
  15. JP is too proud to resign, Lowe is too proud to admit he was wrong and sack him. He's going to be here for the long haul, Rupert Lowe will just keep falling back on the no money to replace him bull**** and people will beleive him while saying what an impossible job he has, which he hasn't, our squad is good enough to survive if we had a semi decent manager.
  16. If we sell Davis we might as well just go into admin.
  17. 4-5 of us going up on the train, I think. Quite looking forward to this one.
  18. I think he just needs a fresh start somewhere, he will definatly come good eventually. He's still only 19 which is young for a Premiership defender. Needs to sort his hair out.

    Kaka

Permission given to talk to Kaka now.
  20. Why would he want to go to PSG when he could come and join a relegation battle???
  21. Shame.
  22. Giovanni Dos Santos would be quite some signing, I've only ever seen him play once and he scored a hat trick for Barca. I found it strange that they sold him to Spurs after that, would be even more strange if he ended up in a Saints shirt. Holmes and Dos Santos on the wings with Saga and Lupoli up top would be quite some attack, can't see it happening mind. Just can't see why he would pick us. Surely someone like Reading, Wolves, Birmingham etc would be interested? Can't see us offering more money either.
  23. How long until Dailly signs?
  24. Because we're playing Lancashire and James, Craine and Mills would be preferable to those two. I don't mean to make out like they are the best thing since sliced bread but we should have used them both better.
  25. If we where to play a 4-4-2 with two out and out strikers then a right sided player who comes inside isn't a totally bad thing, as long as Holmes spends the whole game out wide strecthing teams then it should be ok.
