No it's because they where pretty crap, if Barnard finished his chance we would have been comfortble winners. Got to aim to be beating sides which aren't even in the top 6. We had four 1m+ players on the pitch yesterday and we can't make it count. Those are exactly the sort of game we have to learn to win if we're going to get promoted next season.

Puncheon is left footed, I'd imagine it will be Holmes who loses out the most, although I can't see Waigo staying after his loan runs out.

I've said for a while we've needed either a left winger or an attacking midfielder. If we have Puncheon wide left and Waigo or Antonio on the right which free's up Lallana to play through the middle. Those three playing behind Lambert with two from Schneiderlin, Wotton, James and Hammond playing slightly deeper depending on the oppositon. Lets go back to 4-5-1 and we will start dominating games again with that setup.

As long as the players we're bringing in are better than what we have then squad size isn't a problem. Puncheon is better than Antonio, Waigo and Holmes out wide so should be a fantastic piece of business.

Barnard missed a sitter that Connolly would have scored 99 times out of a 100. Play 451 I couldn't give a toss if Barnard and Connolly are both fit were much better with five in midfield. I'm not too dissapointed by the game I knew after Colchester and Millwall we wouldn't get promoted just disapointing that we played so poorly. Any news on Lloyd James?

We're not going to have a bad handfull of games though, it just won't happen. If we win our game in hand we're 11th I think. The teams below us are really **** and so are most of the teams above us are as well. Just need to concentrate on beating everything infront of us - Pompey will however be a massive test they're alot better than most in this league.

Next three are huge imo - anything less than nine points will be a dissapointment. Hopefully we win those three and go into our two cup games bang in form.

All the games are equally important imo. We can beat all the top 6 teams and then throw it away against the **** and we'd still not get there. Realistically I think we probably need 15 prob 16 to reach the play offs. Won't be easy especially with our hectic schedule.

It's pretty depressing when you look at other teams in this league. Norwich and Leeds are the only two with any class and the rest is just dross. If it wasn't for the Pinnacle time wasting and then our terrible start we'd be right up there. At least next season we should have a laugh if we don't quite manage it this season.

There's no way a Southampton fan wouldn't go to this game because their local might be closed and there will be a few extra old bill about. The police presence will mostly be covering the Skates anyway. It will sell out but anyone who deserves a ticket and puts some effort into getting one will get one easily enough.

When they make games early to stop people drinking it makes me twice as determined to ****ted before the game. The first game at Millwall was a pretty special effort. Yeah probably, no idea how they managed to book him there. I'm not really a big fan of his and pretty bored of that sort of music but it's got to be done when it's so close to home.
