All the previous stuff was well known, I'm sure Capello knew about him ****ing on a nightclub floor, parking in disabled spaces and the sending off for calling Ledley King a lippy monkey etc It seems strange that he appoints him and ignores the off the field stuff and despite him having one of his best seasons for a few years takes the captaincy away because of what's happened off the pitch.

Rio's the new captain. Bit of a strange decision, he wouldn't even be in the side on merit at the moment. Better hope he sorts himself out on the pitch over the next couple of months, they really should have given it to Rooney.

It was embarassing how crap he was when we played Totton pre season worst player on the pitch.

Has to be Rooney, he's everything this country stands for and in the form of his life. He's been world class this season, as good as anyone in the world. Could make him as a player, like it did when Beckham was made captain.

Doesn't sound like they're too optimistic. Hopefully for the cup games if James is still injured we just go with five in midfield. Lallana, Wotton, Puncheon, Schneiderlin and Antonio / Waigo. It's only really when we play 4-4-2 that we miss Hammond so much imo and I don't think Pardew has bought Puncheon to play central midfield in a 4.

Should have enough about us to beat Exeter without him, hopefully he's back for the two cup games. Same with Lloyd James, could do with getting one of the two in for Wotton.

I assume they recieved less than 800 applicants so rather than do a ballot they're just processing as and when they get the time. They must be quite busy with MK Dons and Pompey tickets to sell and processing all the Exeter tickets must take a while. Might be worth giving the ticket office a ring or an email if the money doesn't come out your account today.

It's a shame Pardew didn't give Gillett a chance to impress in midfield yesterday. I'd rather have him there than Wotton and he has played plenty of times with Schneiderlin.

I don't think he's all that but we are missing his presence, wouldn't be such a problem if Lloyd James didn't pick up his injury. Wotton just isn't good enough.

Go back to playing the expansive 4-5-1 that worked so well.

I think it was only in the first season at St Marys and they where rough.

I'm not slating Pardew I just think he's a bit negative, that's not a bad thing as such just an observation. I've enjoyed this season more than anyother since I've been a fan so obviously Pardew is doing something right, I just feel at times he's too negative. Millwall away is a good example, we almost won the game but we should have started with either Waigo or Antonio and really took the game to them rather than play with two more defensive wingers. You say winning is all that matters and in a way you're right but I'd like to see us play to our strengths as i'm sure we will end up winning more games.

Being the 5th top scorers is about par, with the quality we have we should be the top scorers. The problem with the way we play rather than the formation, we've got the quality to control and beat teams but we play negative long ball and totally ignore our midfield which imo is our strongest area.

If they've started taking money they should start sending tickets... It's a bit of a **** up from the ticket office that they've left it so late really.

Will probably give this a miss now, trains will no doubt be ridiculous by the time it's confirmed and I don't fancy the trip on a Tuesday either.
