    Rudi Skacel

Of course that is what happened and of course that will happen. Do we not have enough to moan about without theorising about unlikely and improbable future events? Saving any money on him would be a good bit of business, if nobody will take him off our hands and pay all his wages we'll have to pay a bit. That is the way it works when you need money. Anybody who had seen either of his performances last week will realise there is not much to worry about; on saturday he put in the most disinterested performance I have ever seen anyone in a Saints shirt put in. Experience, talent, ability, reputation and wages count for nothing if you're not going to put a shift in.
  2. Not really, who would take over? Other shareholders?

    SWF Mixtapes

There would I am afraid, muxtape closed down recently and that was a similar thing. The only way to do it would be youtube links or something, you cannot share music online without cutting in the license holder. Unless you concentrate on out of copyright works.
  4. What a ****ty day. Traveled from London this morning and got stuck around Reading, moved about 500 yards in 90 minutes and had to really stick my toe down to get there in time. Wish I hadn't bothered, the team and supporters were ****. The fans behind me were singing No Surrender to the IRA and then moaning about the **** fans not joining in. The fans in front were quiet all game apart from some bald guy who started berating Jan for being Dutch, useless and a ****. His main issue seemed to be that he had his hands behind his back. It was the worse atmosphere I have experienced at an away day ever Surman was pretty much the worst out there, he cannot continue to play in the middle of the park and keep pulling his foot out of challenges. His distribution was shocking too. In the first half we just kept on hoofing the ball from the back and invited pressure straight back onto ourselves, throughout the whole game we rarely held onto the ball for any sustained period of time. I am not going to start calling for the manager to be changed but I do question the logic of bringing Lloyd James back in after we kept a clean sheet the other night. Also, why do we insist on taking short corners a large amount of the time? They rarely work and I don't see the advantage the extra few feet give you. Why was Bradders taken off? He put in a decent performance and DMG was having another shocker. It was a shame Kelvin made a mistake, hope the fans don't get on his back. Lets hope we can turn something out of the bag against Coventry as I am getting a bit worried now, three games with no goal and no win in four. I hope more Preston is more fun next week.
  5. It is about as progressive as Naval warfare (if not more so). Lolzz! Have you actually listened to anything other than Radio One before coming to that conclusion? Have you heard of people like Melvyn Bragg, Laurie Taylor, Chris Evans, Danny Baker, Adam & Joe, Andrew Marr, Simon Mayo, Mark Kermode, Mark Radcliffe etc. etc? The whole service doesn't have to cater to your tastes, there are going to be things which you don't like but that is not the point. I ****ing hate George Lamb but there are some people who do like him and that justifies his employment Why emphasise the word sell? If you genuinely do not know what output the beeb makes which are ahead of the field then you shouldn't be shouting it down. I hope the Navy takes to piping the Today Show through submarines whilst you are on your next mission. Well said sir.
  6. I could not agree with you less. The BBC is something we should be genuinely proud of. In some ways you are right when you compare the license fee to a tax but that doesn't make it a bad thing. The commercialisation of the BBC would lead to it being accountable to shareholders as opposed to the public and content would follow similar lines to that of other channels. Look at the standard of regional output on ITV now compared to ten years ago, because it is not a massive commercially exploitable opportunity the shareholders have lost interest and the quality has slipped to a fraction of that the BBC puts out. The BBC will always be obliged to create regional news and the like because they are duty bound to do so. The same can be said of children's television, because it is cheaper to import the commercial sector no longer make anywhere near the same amount they used to. The BBC however continues to do so and is duty bound to do so. The same can be said of many genres like documentary and British drama. One only has to have watched the multitude of news platforms available to the Americans to appreciate how important unbiased news coverage is as well. Channel Four is a brilliant example of why balancing public interest and commercial interest does not work. It is not without its faults but I really, really hope I don't see the day the beeb is wound up or privatised because people resent paying the money.
  7. Everything we have achieved in our illustrious history looks insignificant after someone has replaced every line in Bohemian Rhapsody with footballer's names.
  8. I agree, good post. Alright then ****tard, I was saving my last post to put something truly inspired on the post match reaction thread later but that will have to wait. In the same way in which you did in your goths thread the other day you put forward both sides of the argument, in this instance you have said if Bin Laden was captured people would be sticking up for him and that would annoy you. In the goths thread you said that goths always go on about how they want to be individual and you disagreed saying that by clinging onto a well established social clique they were, by definition, not individual. In both instances you make up both sides of the argument and then rally against the one you disagree with. We don't know that someone would bother would Bin Laden's Human Rights and you don't know what goths get up to, for example on the other thread you wrote, Do you understand yet?
  9. I could explain but as it was a fairly simple point in the first place I think I would be wasting my time, a much better use of my time would be to call you a durr-brain and vow to stop opening threads you have started.
  10. I am going with my brother whose only other game this season was the Derby game, therefore I confidently predict we will switch it on 70s Brazil style and nick a one-nil victory. It must really suck balls being you.
  11. If this happened and then this happened, surely this would happen and that would **** me off. Once again you are putting forward both sided of the argument and disagreeing with yourself.
  12. If it is both "rejuvinating and reducing darkening" couldn't you save time and money by not doing it at all?
  13. If I had a pound for every time I heard a goth say that I would have no pounds. You seem to be making up both sides of the argument here, you have put across the case for goths and emos and then taken it apart. It makes no sense.
  14. There are no smoking signs at pubs, doesn't mean it is to stop the place catching fire. I don't care what a couple of jerks say, the Guardian never lies.
  15. This would not work unless you're talking about throwing a flaming homosexual into the cave; unless you're in the movies a lit cigarette will not ignite petrol.
  16. Drunk and disorderly?
  17. Jamie Oliver is a massive hypocrite and ****. He blabs on about the nation's dietary issues yet is quite happy to put his name and stupid face on products which fly in the face of the agenda he peddles to repressed northern housewives. Additionally, the bull**** he spouted about chickens last year didn't find favour with his corporate sponsors. If he genuinely found chicken's treatment as abhorrent as he claimed he should have told them to poke their cheque and change their policy on eggs; instead he sent a letter and apologised to their CEO. I had no problem with him when he was the naked chef, but this campaigning ******** is half hearted and hypocritical self-promotion, the guy is a dicksplash.
  18. Since when did murder involve an exchange of money?
  19. If George Burley does something outside of your perceived logic in the woods, do you still get a boner?
  20. Amongst the fanbase, that has no bearing on the job the manager is doing. Well said. I trust your mum.
  21. There are tons of prestige jobs in the financial sector based in Southampton dickless.
  22. I'm sorry I don't see how the Ashley story makes the Pompey story any more interesting.
  23. I understand that but there weren't many rumours of Lowe hanging himself or Ormerod nobbing Beckham, the Spurs chants were based in rumours which have a grounding in reality, particularly the fact that Campbell has had mental health issues. I quite agree, but what I was saying was just because a chant is not racist doesn't make it alright. I appreciate that singing songs close to the line is all part of footballing banter, Spurs are not the only ones, there are Hillsborough/Munich/Gas chamber songs other teams have sung in the past. They will continue to sing them too. Doesn't mean I don't find them horrible.
  24. Really? So homophobic and other bull**** like the stuff shouted at Campbell is all fair play? Do you know what they were singing? I cannot remember the full chant but they were rhyming lunacy, hanging from a tree and HIV. Is that really just harmless letting off steam?
  25. I don't think it works like that, judging by your 'logic' a bad run of results could see us in minus attendance figures by the end of the season.
