  1. Lol. Must be a ****ing massive pub if the "usual fans" all fit in there for other home games.
  2. I don't know if I have missed the joke but you cannot be for realisies. A better suggestion would be someone had a word with him in October to go off the boil so nobody came sniffing around, he has been off his game for a while. You do know Mcgoldrick is the bloke wearing number 18 with MCGOLDRICK on the back? He didn't have his best game today, certainly going forward but he was not lazy at all. In the first half when he possession by under-hitting a pass he chased the play all the way back to the byline in Saints half, and that wasn't the only example of him working his nuts off. Some guy near me in the Itchen was berating him for not chasing a through ball down today without realising he was offside and had he gone for the ball he would have become active and disrupted our attack. Some people have made their mind up on him and not a lot will change it, we seem to have one every season. Now Jermaine Wright has gone Mcgoldrick gets the stick. To suggest McGlaggon did more today than Mcgoldrick has all season is ****ing stupid. Thought the game was good, lots of fun again. From where I was stood their second goal looked offside by a good yard and Molyneux's challenge looked fair, more ball than man, but I am extremely biased If any Swansea supporters are ready this, has Jordi Gomes been tackled once this season without requiring medical attention afterwards? The bloke is a ****ing great jessy, wouldn't look out of place next to Drew Surman in our squad. Thought Wotton, Saga and Size were the best players today. I was amazed by Wotton, never seen anything like it from him in a Saints shirt before, let's hope he can keep it up.
  3. Did you know that if Aston Villa signed Heskey in the summer instead of the transfer window he would have scored 23 goals already and would go on to score 38 over the course of the season? Did you also know that if Ian Pearce has stayed at Saints longer than one game we would have never lost a game with him in the team? I can't believe how some people moan about the formation and the tactics Jan employed this season but are quite prepared to reach conclusions on individual player's contributions to the team over the same time. Mcgoldrick has been playing either on his own up front or out wide all season, if Saga had been doing the same he wouldn't be averaging two goals every three games. Both strikers are suited to playing with another guy up front. Stick them both in the team for a few games and see how they get on. Also, I know some people don't like the I'm a better fan than you ****ing contests which inevitably develop when one mentions match attendance, but how can someone living in another country listening to games on the radio and watching highlights make proper judgments on a player? Although he didn't score Mcgoldrick played really, really well last night. I haven't seen the lazy shirker others talk about when I'm watching him. Slagging him off is apparently in vogue but criticising Lallana is deemed inappropriate because he is a player with a lot of potential. I would put a lot of money on Mcgoldrick going onto become a better player than Lallana or indeed Andrew Surman.
  4. Just got back, lots and lots and lots of fun tonight. Second half was smashing, playing 442 really made a difference. Saga had a cracker but second half not many people put a foot wrong. Lloyd James look quite accomplished going forwards at times and Kayne Mclaggon is soooooo fast he made the Norwich left back look a tit the first few times he had a run at him. People slating DMG should consider that he has been playing up front on his todd all season, stick him up front WITH Saga for a few games and I am certain they will both start scoring goals. The problems in the first half, apart from a lack of creativity, was the midfield just was not functioning and we ended up putting ourselves under a lot of pressure. Gillet and Wotton both looked a bit dodge, Wotton always looks like he needs more time on the ball and Gillet has stopped doing the simple things well like he did towards the start of the season. Stick Euell in there with either one of them and they look more composed. I hate to say it, but after the second half I am actually looking forward to Saturday with a bit of optimism.
  5. Take my fair lady to Ashton Gate, she is sooooo lucky to have me.

    Beckham

I'll agree he gives his all and is talented but the ONLY problem Beckham had playing for England at the last world cup was his lack of positional discipline. It was probably because he wanted to see more of the ball but he constantly came into the middle to pick the ball up and distribute it, which would be fine but it meant we were essentially playing with nobody on the right wing which meant teams doubled up on poor old Gaz Neville. Also, when going forward he came into the middle which lost us a lot of width, much the same way the Mcgoldrick or Lallana does for Saints at the minute. Also, his wife is a munt monkey.
  7. I was with o2 for years but left them a few months ago for T-Mobile. When I left I phoned them up and told them I was offski and they said they were going to beat any rate I could find anywhere else. Having shopped around I found a decent deal with T Mob and they couldn't touch it, the only decent tariff they could do was on a six month longer contract and paying for the handset. I wanted the N96 so it wasn't worth it so I left. No matter where you go haggle, when I changed to T-Mobile I went into the shop and told them that Vodafone offered a better tariff but I wanted to join them (which wasn't true) but they knocked some money off! Also, FWIW I would avoid T-Mobile, the signal and customer service is ****e.
  8. You're quite right that is a ridiculous comparison, I think you're getting a little bit carried away with the importance of the protest now.
  9. I will be attending but only out of idle curiosity, I really doubt there will be a big turnout. Saying there are over 1000 people on the facebook group means nothing, people join groups they are invited to join by their friends, doesn't mean they will bother turning up.

    Norwich?

Me and my old man are going, he has seen two wins on the bounce now so we're practically home and dry.
  11. I think that festival is unique to Portsmouth, I've never heard of it.
  12. Lol. Because the Daily Express is truly at the forefront of high brow journalism isn't it? Berk.

    University

Amen to that, so many people (on here at least, which prolly isn't that good an indication of the real world) seem to dismiss further education on the grounds that they didn't go and they have a job they like or their friend did go and ended up regretting it or not getting the job they wanted. I graduated last year with a ****ty media degree and I still don't have the job I wanted but I'll never ever regret going to university because it was something I wanted to do, and not wholly for the social aspects either.

    Schneiderlin

Schneiderlin completely ****es over every other midfielder at our club but yesterday wasn't his best game. He was the first off the pitch after the final whistle and didn't acknowledge anybody on his way off. I don't think his heart is in it but I'm unsure if it ever was, he must resent being here. He is a much better player than our current situation really deserves. Last week at Barnsley once we had the lead he held onto the ball really well and helped the team grind out the win, I have seen him play really well several times this season and when he plays well we don't end up doing what we ended up doing so much yesterday and hoofing the ball when under pressure and invited the pressure back upon ourselves. I hope he stays long term but I think he'll be off as soon as a better offer comes along.
  15. The Guardian football podcast were discussing this the other day, apparently there could be big trubs in north London tomorrow for this game. The Victoria line is closed so the only way to get to White Hart Lane is on the overground train so everyone will be channeled through Liverpool Street which is a big open concourse with bars along the top. When the game was scheduled there wasn't much ill feeling between the clubs but since then you've had Defoe, Redknapp and the Campbell chants. Could get prawper nawty. I hate Redknapp more than I hate the Skates, I hope they both go down but if it had to be one I would choose Spuds. Redknapp is such a ****, his rant last week about how it couldn't all be the managers fault wound me up. He wasn't saying that after they went on a decent run the other week. He is a ****.
  16. Heat- First time I'd seen it, twas super duper The Country Girl- I prefer Bing Crosby being all sunshine and rainbows and Grace Kelly to go for it a bit more but still a cracking film. High Noon- Funky ass Western, I'd read so much about it before watching it, more to do with its politics than anything. The writer got blacklisted after making it because John Wayne and some other jerks considered it un-American. I didn't really get that but it has aged quite well and it has a smashing theme tune which pops up throughout the movie to remind of the rather simple plot. I'd recommend all three wholeheartedly

    US shows

I just finished Generation Kill a week or two ago, thought it was a cracking series. Santa brought me Eerie Indiana for Christmas but I've only watched a couple of episodes so far, the things you watched as a kid are never as good once you watch them again. I'm currently working my way through True Blood, which is ridiculous but still very very watchable.
  18. Cranie played eighteen games on loan at Charlton this season and Mills plays for Doncaster, the two teams in a worse position than us. I realise they're part of a team but I'd love to know why we seem to think we've missed out on a couple of absolute gems when they have hardly gone on to great heights just yet.
  19. I quite agree, the more I see him the more I think he could be a real asset soon. If we stay up and hold the squad together he could have a blinder of a season next year. To be fair, he was comparing the way in which both players could frustrate the fans to an extent. Also, it seems a bit harsh to suggest that because Mcgoldrick didn't do much in one cup game against United that he couldn't score against Premiership opposition later in his career.

    Dont buy a kia

Exactly. Poor customer service would be the last of my concerns. Its resale value is going to be pish, the servicing costs are massively high, parts costs way above what they should, they look ****, you look like a tool driving one, they're not German, I would be removed from my father's will etc. etc. would all prevent me purchasing one.
  21. It really, really isn't. It's like saying imagine Mcgoldrick playing in our team from two seasons ago, with a different midfield behind him, different strike partner with different formation and tactics.
  22. It seems really unfair to judge any of our young players as part of a struggling team, if you would have put him in the team which reached the playoffs he would be doing a lot better. FWIW I really rate the guy, he gets a lot of stick for not putting a shift in but we had another striker like that who also bagged a goal or two. He also runs at defenders a lot more that Rasiak ever did. He is on course for double figures over the season, which in his first real year in the first team is not bad going at all.
  23. Thought he had a cracking game today, looked really composed for someone who had only been here for a day or two. He did have one slip up but that aside, looks very promising. His distribution was sooooo much better that everbody else in the back four who consistently invited pressure back onto ourselves by hopelessly hoofing into non existent channels. Like someone else said, doubt there will be premiership clubs sniffing around him but on today's performance he looks very capable at this level.
  24. You made a prediction which hasn't come true (nothing like in fact), and you're bragging about it?
  25. DVDs, CDs and toys mostly. Wrestling figures, batman and turtles toys, ten copies of the New Kids On The Block album, about twenty McFly live DVDs, etc. etc. etc. A load of ****e, literally. The only thing I wanted was the Beth Rowley album. Most of it is going on ebay or to musicmagpie.
