Do you really not understand what he meant? "I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die" Johnny Cash - Folsom Prison Blues (At San Quentin) No civilised society has a judicial system based on an eye-for-an-eye affair; and anyone who mentions cost to the tax payer when discussing sentencing is somewhat missing the point. I quite agree with Bungle, emotion should be not come remotely close to the system. As for that chap in America, I know what he did was truly awful, but why is making him suffer now any better than what he did to his victim?
-
Exactly. Quite what he is going on about is anyone's guess. I think all ticket prices are too expensive in this division, whether we are lucky to be in business or not makes little or no difference to this. Twenty quid should be the very top end ticket for third division football, it is absolutely ****ing mental the prices we have to pay. The Torquay match next week is a good one, if I rock up on the night it is going to set me back fifteen quid. After the consultation with fans ******** on the official site that is laughable. Charlton are doing five pound a ticket for their JPT game; theirs is at home too against a team from the same league as Torquay. I bet they get a bigger attendance than us.

Will the people who paid for your education get money back when they realise you can't use basic punctuation?

Surely we could sell any player in the squad if there were alternatives available? I forwarded your message to him, you are entering a whole world of pain.
-
Eh? Who would you play at right back? Against Huddersfield he had a mare but I think he has taken quite well to right back. He isn't great going forward but with Trotman and Jaidi in the middle you can't knock the size of them. I nearly pooped my pants on Saturday when he grabbed some Charlton chap by the neck, he is a scary mother****er and I hope he spends Saturday afternoons for the rest of the season making opposition players his *****.

I thank you for your help but can't help but think you missed the point

Derren Brown - Predicting the lottery before the numbers come out tommorow
Ash replied to Saintandy666's topic in The Lounge
It was complete ********. Not even entertaining ******** either. I am gonna sue the bastard for an hour of my life I'm not going to get back. -
How difficult is it to park the car near the ground? The away ground guide site is quite vague. Otherwise, does anyone know the nearest train station with car parking facilities? Much love x x x

Going to see him in a few weeks. Marcus Brigstock next week. Milton Jones after Sean Lock. Then in November Stewart Lee. Stewart Lee makes me feel all tingly.

Similar problem to me, whenever I go on the main board there is a thread from December 2007 at the top of the forum. Either that, or people are still 'debating' George Burley's time at Saints.
-
Surely this is ********? Why would the official site report it as injury? If Gillet being reported as injured, or is he just left out the team like every other out of favour player. What purpose would making up injuries serve? Of all the loony rumours I have heard, the club making up injuries for players that are out of favour is right up there.

Surely nobody would have started drinking that early? I remember listening to Radio5 and the presenter asking an anchor how it would affect the football fixtures, the anchor responded there is no way nobody in the Western world will be playing competitive sport tonight. If I recall correctly though, the fixtures for the night after were canceled. Which seems a bit silly now, a bit unnecessary surely?

He didn't live up to the hype but he did pretty well when played in midfield. On the left wing we haven't had anyone as good as him since he was shipping out on loan or played at left back, then ignored. The most shocking waste of talent I've seen at saints was sticking him at left back, no wonder the bloke's head dropped. I wish him well.

Don't forget the penalty. I know in this instance it didn't really make much difference to the outcome of the game but to give him a yellow card retrospectively while Arsenal still got the penalty on the night seems daft. I would like to see UEFA really clamp down on diving. Surely it is not out of the realms of possibility to have a team review such incidents and hand out punishments afterward. You start giving players two match bans for their first offence, then four, then six, and see how long the diving goes on for. It is cheating and it does my nut in, especially in apparently world class players.

Jaidi is starting rumours about who is going to sign? Sounds like a troublemaker IMO, not too sure I want him anywhere near the club if what the cripple says is true.
-
According to a source quoted on the Guardian earlier deals can be concluded after the deadline as long as "formal proceedings to tie up the deal began before the five o'clock deadline" Skip to 5.21 on this linky So we could well still be set to announce a signing, sorry if this disappoints all the cheddars who get a boner when the opportunity to whinge about the Super Saints arises.

Good quality hand drying facilities on away days.

Some people like it though, they're probably similarly not bothered about some of the BBC product from the other end of the spectrum. It surely isn't that hard to understand that, given the nature of their operation, they try to make something appeal to everybody? No need for Radio Four? Are you mad? Do you think that sixty million people should contribute towards a state owned broadcaster and then consult solely one div from the Navy about what to put out?
-
I don't quite know how to put this, but you do know that, on the four television channels, six national radio stations, numerous regional stations, the world service and the multi-faceted website there is plenty of content which isn't Strictly Come Dancing? I can only assume you only get access to television for one hour a week, for eighteen weeks of the year. Either that or you're being a bit of a bender.

I am not saying we should get rid of the guy, but would you really give him three years to turn around a winless streak?

I am quite religious in checking the time at the football and, to be fair, the penalty was given withing the last few seconds of the third minute. Ref was absolutely ****, I have no idea whether either penatly decision was correct because it was the other end of the stadium but most of the stuff at our end he got wrong. Not in favour of Stockport at all, just consistently wrong. Every decision that went against Stockport, regardless of how blantent it was, and the Stockport fans were up in arms about it. With about twenty minutes to go they started giving him some real stick and it was fairly inevitable that he was going to start giving thing their way. I was talking to a Stockport fan after the game who was sat at the other end of the stadium and he said neither penalty decision was correct, and there were a few other decisions the officals got wrong. I am bored of League One already. I thought the whole team played fine, maybe lacked the desire to finish them off and were too content to sit back and collect the points. Trotman looked gutted at the end. I slated Wayne Thomas after the Huddersfield game were he had a schocker, but I thought he was immense today. Really liked having such a physical presence in a full back position. If Murty is out for a while, on the basis of this afternoon, I'd be happy to see Thomas play there (although another centre half becomes more of a priority) Worked out the other day, I have been to fourteen Saints games this year and seen one win. With this afternoon it makes one in fifteen, starting to think I should, for the greater good, stop going.

Very clever; what about all those other occupations aside from medicine and retail? If we just look at one or two people and base our assumptions on them, we could end up looking at people who were schooled in your 'era' and decide that, while apparently excellent at maths, they lack basic logic, reasoning and social skills. I went to University, it certainly hasn't done me any harm. It hasn't even left me with a ****ing massive chip on my fat shoulder about people who have done something different to me. Just because you have done alright, doesn't invalidate every other path people have taken in their life does it? Also, there is a misconception about people who go to University doing it solely to further their career. While that comes into it, some people actually enjoy education.

Do you ask any young doctors to do any sums in their head? Or are you basing an entire generation on your interaction with the people at Tesco?
-
Good luck to the guy; pretty much the stupidest of all Burley's stupid decisions was dropping him in the middle of the 06/07 season when he was absolutely storming the league. Been treated pretty badly since then by all accounts. Can't blame him for wanting offski, we must have known this when we signed Lambert. The two couldn't really have played together anyway. You know that lovely feeling you get when Saints score a goal? My favourite ever one is his last minute equaliser at Gay Pride Park. I went absolutely bat**** mental and it is a moment I genuinely think I will remember until the day I keel over.

Suitably well attired though; most of them were wearing Addidas Chilies, Kenzo Jeans and Hugo Boss Polos.
