  1. Saw him in Lincoln earlier in this tour, he was brilliant. Very good at dealing with a heckler too, I lolled long and hard. Going to see Stewart Lee tonight though, which promises to take lolling to a whole new level of long and hard.
  2. Because it is no longer 2004, and Myspace is soooooooooo passé.
  3. Just checked. There were a shed load of empty seats! Surely all those young lads weren't put off by the all conquering family orientated marketing? Saints have really shot themselves in the foot this time.
  4. I didn't go yesterday but I must say I am delighted that the ground sold out, it is a shame that all those young men who were willing to sing their hearts out properly in the approved manner didn't book their tickets well in advance; who knows what the improved atmosphere would have done for the team's performance?
  5. Don't tell me. Our inability to cheat recently was down to Rupert Lowe.
  6. I'd like you to point out at which stage that line was crossed, I'm struggling.
  7. He was really quite good at Stockport. If Trotman goes back in January, Thomas is easily good enough for this division.
  8. Absolutely. What ********. I don't pay to go into the Tate Modern, I'm certainly not paying to see ladysaint's pictures of Leyton Orient.
  9. I don't really do home games so I can't take the credit for the Gillingham game, but at Southend it was raining so hard I didn't see the point in putting my shirt on. We won so I didn't wear it at Oldham either, or when I visited last weekend for the MK Dons game. We win and I get to moan about feckin' scarfers too, double bonus.

    Carlisle left back.
  11. We've got Lloyd James! We've got Lloyd Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaames! Who needs Ronaldo? We've got Lloyd James.
  12. I am looking forward to the **** getting the sack; I am off to Ipswich to wave a P45 at him and give him the thumbs down sign. ****ing ****ing ****ting tosser.
  13. Surely the very best female manager in the country is going to be significantly better at the job than a lot of the chaps. The only potential issue would be if the chaps would give her the repeck' the position deserves. I would have no objection to saints putting a lady in charge; if they're good enough it matters not whether they have a **** and balls. I have long since said the same about players; surely the very best female players in the world have got to be significantly better than some of the male players.
  14. That is exactly what I was getting at; well done you.
  15. I wouldn't if I had willfully moved to Austria; that would make me seem silly.

    Back from Oldham

Thought the support was really good yesterday, had a really really good day out. The whole team played pretty well, and the substitutes who came on all impressed to. Would be good to get the Reading lad on a longer deal, he looks pretty handy. The Oldham fans made a fair bit of noise, more than the others we have been to this year, but the drum is such faggy ********. The point in the second half where their fans started exchanging a bit of "come on then" with our dreggs was LOLworthy. Don't those chaps (on both sides) realise they look like tools posturing in such a way with a 12 foot gap and stewards/coppers in between them. Anyway, thought the celebrations for the Connolly goal were great fun, worth the drive and entrance fee alone. I am beginning to seriously entertain the idea of getting in the play-offs
  18. I am a fan of Niemi and that but Southall was a cracking keeper. I am not sure if this is still the case but at one stage he was the only goalkeeper to win the PFA player of the year. In addition to this he never used to use the showers at the ground and would go home wearing his kit, often stopping off at the shops or filling up his car still with his shorts and jersey on. Niemi shouldn't feel too hard done by for lagging behind Big Nev.
  19. No longer needs to doesn't exactly rule it out; maybe he should give it a go.

    Fifa 10

Anybody doing a manager mode as Saints struggling with contract renewals? I have three months of the season left and nobody will sign up, I have about ten players going out of contract. I have tried massive wage increases, short deals, long deals, bonuses and it won't work. Any ideas?
  21. Not saying I disagree with your stance but what the **** does it matter where you live? I know how good a job Guardiola did last season without stepping foot onto Spanish soil; or is Plymouth so insular you don't realise the rest of the country also has access to football results?
  22. Just for future reference; jokes in which the humour is derived from misunderstandings based on accents shouldn't use signs as a plot device as they wouldn't properly convey the accent. Hope this helps.
  23. Last night was the best I've heard it. My Mrs was stood singing it on her own at our end of the stand for a while. Although the atmosphere was good last night it was largely coming from one end of the stand. The bit I was sat in joined in occasionally but I felt left out. I sat in the noisy end when I arrived but had to move when some blokes insisted in sitting in their allocated seat despite it being unreserved seating Benders

    Surman

Really? I think his lack of strength and pace are one of the main reasons he won't make it as a Premiership player. What are the reasons you think he won't make it?

    the papa...

I love Papa, think he is a breath of fresh air in the squad and just what we needed. I hope he settles well and we can sort something out and sign him up. Using that logic any conclusions reached through the use of statistics would have to be discounted.
