  1. Pleased it wasn't just me, that pretty much mirrors my thoughts on how he played. I think he has the ability to really take the **** in this league but I think his attitude is a little lacking; can't say that I blame him mind, you stick me in the French third division and I would struggle to drum up some passion too. If him and Lallana play to the best of their ability this year we will be half way there.
  2. I could have clocked up just as much if I'd have gone the long way home like you.
  3. Not a winger? Crikey, I reckon we could do with at least two of the buggers. Be a massive improvement on the none we played today. It really is bizarre how different eyes watch the same game. As far as I could see Lallana did next to nothing today yet your rating him as high as anybody in the red and white. Similarly, most people seem to rate Schneiderlin, but I didn't think he did that much (aside from the long range efforts). I thought our whole midfield was pretty ineffectual for a large part of the game, would like to see Gillett starting and two new wingers in time for Huddersfield. Pfff. Part timer, just got back in following a 440 mile round trip.
  4. That website is bobbins, lists Wayne Thomas as our best striker! Unless they are privy to Pardew's master plan.
  5. In English, what is a DOS attack? Is this the end of the internet?
  6. ******** would he be anything like OK. Unless he has improved immensely over the last season I wouldn't put him anywhere near the first team; and we really need a right winger. Jermaine Wright had more ability in his right nut then Hammill ever showed here. ****ing useless show pony ****.
  7. Absobloodylutely. Sad and tedious. Surely you are not writing off all mail out marketing as ineffective? Nobody is suggesting the club hasn't sold enough and debating why, the OP just said they are not making the most of the database they have. As has been pointed out already, many other clubs do it already. They're not doing it because of a excessive amount of paper they need to shift, they are doing it because a focused marketing campaign like this will most likely generate more income. Just because you personally wouldn't be swayed by something like that doesn't mean that every other person on the mailing list would be.
  8. Lol. Those bastards doctors really do take the **** don't they? P.S, yes I was a mature student. Didn't start until I was 22, paid tax in the four year gap though so I don't know what the problem is. I was still skintos for three years and could only afford a few home games, without the student rate this would have been even more difficult. P.P.S You're not very good at spelling the word you're.
  9. Completely agree. I went to watch Arsenal a year or two back to look at the stadium, and to this day they still hassle me with ticket and membership offers, and they don't have that many empty seats to worry about.
  10. Whenever a thread likes pops up a fair few Lincolnshire saints turn up but I have lived here over twenty years and never bumped into one of them. We need some kind of secret haircut to identify ourselves to each other. Whereabouts do you all hide? Nobody around the Sleaford area?
  11. Absolutely. As a fellow Lincolnshire exile a few years ago I realised I wasn't going to get to many games without going on my own. You can tempt the Arsenal, Man Utd etc. fans once or twice but nobody is going to very often. Thankfully the Mrs now comes and keeps me company and as a result I go far more often but I certainly wouldn't hesitate to go on my own should she pack it in.
  12. Colin has cleared it up nicely. A financial background isn't really that important, reading a newspaper may have helped as there is not that much to understand. The administrators were put in to get the best result for the creditors (the most money). The twelve million quids (or whatever amount) ML paid for the club went nowhere else put paying off these creditors, they took that as the other option was the club going out of business and them getting even less. The money paid would have been divided up among them with them each getting so much in the pound for what they were owed. If we still owed them the same as before the twelve million would have to have been shared amongst the shareholders, so one or two people on this board would have received a few squids. Can we stop this being asked every day or two now? We need to concentrate on fretting over the lack of forwards.
  13. If Jason Dodd had done that to someone who was a saints leg-end playing for Poopey we would probably love it; but I completely agree that Neville is a ball sack. His part in the England players attempted strike ******** a few years ago seals that. The modern game is full of people like that, one of the main reasons I can't be bothered with England games now is people like Ashley Cole, John Terry and Frank Lampard.

    Milwall

I booked yesterday and couldn't get two tickets next to each other from block 4-6, but I think the bloke on the phone was a bit of a spaz. Ended up in the Kingsland corner for the first time ever, better be good.

    Reality Check!

How long does a man have to post on a message board taking the **** before people realise he is taking the ****? I. Love. Wiltshire. Saint.
  16. True dat. Mine was crashing all the time until I updated it, not doing it so much now. Still a piece of **** though, the screen is full of dust, opening messages takes aaaaaaaages and the battery life is unbelievable, I have to charge the bastard at least once a frickin day and it can still sometimes just go from full battery bars to dead in a matter of twenty or so minutes. My first and last, I will never have another Nokia. Piece. Of. ****.
  17. I would have given up on football. It is getting rubbish anyway, too many benders like John Terry and Stevie G. But mainly because I can't imagine it ever feeling 'right' supporting someone else.
  18. Well this changes things. I'm all for Saints running a tight ship, previous regimes have surely taught us to be prudent and live within our means, but stories like this put the whole affair into perspective. I hope Saints spend big so that you don't look like a massive prat.
  19. One man's easy to score is another man's difficult to defend.

    Baird back as CB

Christ I know you like to disagree and argue down to the stupidest point but come on. A player making a decent go at international level does make him good. He only disagreed with him being terrible, didn't say he was world class or anything. Stop arguing you fanny.

    Baird back as CB

Was about to post pretty much the same thing, I wish people wouldn't come out with this ****. If he "loved saints" he wouldn't have left Saints for ****ing Fulham, it was hardly Barcelona. Same goes for Drew Surman. Not that I wouldn't welcome him back with open opens, he is a top notch defender, especially for league one.
  22. I'll be going to both because I stalk Rees.

    Rasiak

Either that or we should be signing his gran.
  24. It isn't. My point was if people want to buy something and you can make some money selling it to them, why worry yourself about whether or not the consumer 'needs' them?
  25. Newton was from Woolsthorpe but it's close so we'll let it slide, Titmuss on the other hand is a Sleaford girl. Back off.:tfrag:
