Yes, you've both spotted the joke there. Well done, have a biscuit. -

So she's half Swiss, half Scottish? -
Jo Tessem on Trial next week (He's not really)(Actually he might be)

Saw him play for Swansea reserves against our lot at Staplewood in November. He was incredibly average even at that level. James and Thomson took him to the cleaners. This was in a game where Robertson and Gasmi looked pretty good I might add. Think he only got a game for us because Vignal broke his arm, or was that a different game? -

Wow, so he is playing for us tonight. Have to say, whilst I am sceptical he's up to it after his time at Bournemouth, I really hope he does impress. Always came accross as an honnest, down to earth player. I'd have him over a half-a*sed BWP or Euell any day. -
Here's some more footage of stiffs walking around: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7N1MmISJXRI&feature=related

Perhaps, but it's almost impressive how you managed to jump from 'Kelvin Davis leaving on a free transfer', to 'MLT should never be allowed to work at the club ever again' in just one post. You are within your right to post that on the endless other threads discussing takeovers. However you don't need to turn EVERY thread into a slanging match between Mole, Alpine, yourself and anyone else daft enough to bite.

I'll just clean this thread up a tad...

By that yard stick, you'd be happy to see Rupert Lowe playing at LB next season? -
Please tell me you're not thinking of Red Bull.

I just don't get what it is about Lallana which makes him THAT special. A tallented player I don't deny, and he did look good at the start of the season, but I haven't seen anything that puts him in that Theo/Bale/Ramsey wonderkid section. Trouble is, around the time you say he was outstanding, many people were saying the same about players like Holmes, Morgan, Gillett, DMG and Surman. After a couple of months however people started to wake up and smell the coffee. There was some pretty stuff being in-between the slapstick defending, but when it came to results, they just weren't delivering. I'd have to disagree with your second statement too. Redknapp, Burley, Dodd, Gorman and Pearson all though he wasn't ready for regular first team football. But I'll drink to the last statement.

But those players blatently were top half of the Prem quality. Quite how Jenas ever ended up in the England senior squad I don't know, but he is a decent player. All those players shone in their brief spells in CCC and it was obvious they would go on to be Prem quality. You can add to that Bale, Ramsey, Theo etc. were 16/17 years old when they were sold. Whilst Lallana is still young at 21, he isn't all that young. If a player was ever going to be Prem class, you'd hope to be seeing glimpses of that by now. For all the hype surrounding Lallana, he wasn't all that convincing as a CCC player. Last season we really didn't have any other decent options on the right, but the season before, a succession of managers prefered the likes of Viafara, Dyer, Licka and even Hammill.

Depends entirely on what you want from an airline. Yes, only an idiot would try and land an aircraft in those conditions.
-
Sorry to ruin your thunder, but that really isn't much of a manoeuvre. Just push the TOGA (take off and go around) button, push the throttles forward and fly the missed approach procedure, which they would have briefed thoroughly half an hour before that incident happened. All pilots on twin engined aircraft are trained to fly a go around using just one engine. If you ever got into that scenario, it's really not your day. Then there is a possibility for another incident like the Tenerife North crash. However the controller would have known where both aircraft were in that scenario. He could still have told the KLM aircraft to go around, even if he couldn't see it. The problem there was the controller telling the Corsair guy to line-up, thinking there was enough time before the KLM guy landed. Pretty silly as SMX isn't a busy airport and the Corsair could easily have waited 5 minutes.
-
Turn around is the time on the ground between parking on stand and push back for the next flight. I think you mean 'go around'. Looking at that, it would seem the controller was a muppet, telling the Corsair to line-up when there wasn't anywhere near enough time for the KLM to take off. Lol at the camera man, "oh sh*t" as if the KLM aircraft was ever going to try and land on top of another Jumbo in perfect visiblity.

By a strange co-incidence I witnessed a go around this afternoon. This one was down to strong tail winds, but as derry said, they can happen for a number of reasons.

Mole, 19, get a room.

I'd park it on double yellows, just to see some traffic policeman trying to wrestle a clamp onto it.

COuld be difficult. We have to draw every game, and with the deduction that only leaves us with 36 points come the end of the season.
-
@ all the Swiss avatars. Really hope this goes through though. Aside from the obvious cash, they have thus far dealt with this process (if they are seriously involved) far better than Pinnacle. Just keeping schtum until as and when the deal is complete, rather than publicity stunts and empty promises.
-
Can't believe some people are so dismissive about such an important aspect of the game. I don't care if Rasiak falls asleep on the penalty spot and long balls bounce off his a*se into the net. He never looks interested in any games, it's hardly surprising he wasn't interested in a Micky Mouse fixture against none-League Eastleigh. I'm not defending the guy's attitude. He IS lazy and if he doesn't want to be here he can p*ss off. I just wouldn't get rid of him purely because he doesn't 'look up for it'.

Another of last summer's dreadful signings, possibly a part ex. deal for Davies. Stoke probably said, "We'll give you £1m, or £1.2m plus Pulis" and we went for the latter.
-
I'd have to say no on two counts: 1) Pulis has dark hair 2) Pulis is sh*te
