  1. Arizona

    Fonte

F**king outstanding. Nothing got past him.
  2. We missed Morgan in midweek, but he was a very small part of turn around in fortune IMO. We play better with him in the side, but I don't think he'd have made much difference at WW. That pitch was appaling and we just never got to grips with it. I'm not making excuses for the team, but that's what happened. Good performance today, but he wouldn't even be in my top 5 players. We were than good.
  3. When it comes to bad away performances, nothing Saints have put out this year has come close to what Walsall achieved today. cliche alert, but we could have had 10. I have never seen 11 people look less interested in a game of football.
  4. This is sort of being covered. 5. Just watching the highlights on SSN. Christ on a bike they're trying some dodgy stuff to get out of this. They are going to try and sell players outside the transfer window and get an advance on parachute payments. The best bit is they're going to appeal the 9 point deduction. So what's that going to achieve? They want to try and stay up at the expense of another club who hasn't been trading whilst insolvent.
  6. Personally I'd have gone and released a press statement saying, "This is my best and last chance to win the world cup with England, with Cashley injured I will have a great chance of being in the starting 11. I'm not going to let that tool John Terry ruin that."
  7. Never said anything that funny over the radio, but there are some good stories out there. I remember once coming back into Glasgow Prestwick last winter. Tipping it down with rain. Got a landing clearance something like, "Ryanair XXXX cleared to land runway 13, surface wind 250 at 25 Gusting 45*" My response was "oh crap, I've left the washing out!" Another was in Montpellier, we hit a small flock of bats on landing. After reporting this to ATC, the (French) woman replied, "er... confirm you 'ave bird strike on ze runway." I said, "technically it's a mammal, but you should probably check it out." Had a coyote on the runway once and two more sh@gging in the engine run-up area in Phoenix. A friend was once cleared to land "behind a yellow banana" (they meant to say Bonanza) and had to fly a missed approach he was laughing so hard. Local atmospheric pressure readings are given in millibars accross most of the world, but those imperial loving Americans give their pressure readings in inches of mercury. Another classic, which everyone used to try, was to give a report of "maintaining 3,500ft on QNH (pressure) 1005 millibars". The American controller would sometime reply, "can I have that in inches", which lead to the response, "maintaining 42,000 inches". *wind coming from, 250 degrees at 25 knots, gusting up to 45 knots.
  8. Can't believe people are talking about getting rid of Pardew at the end of the season. He barely had a preseason to prepare himself and was still building his squad until about a month ago. Look at the team that drew with Millwall on the opening day. Davis, Murty, Thomas, Perry, Harding, James, Lallana, Wotton, Schneiderlin, Saganowski, Paterson, Gillett, Gobern, Thomson. Of those 14 players used, only 5 played against Wycombe and 2 of them came on as subs.
  9. Anyone remember the ABBA tribute band when we got beaten 3-2 by Villa in '05? As if that game wasn't painful enough. Agree, last night's shoot out was the best part of the evening. The celebrations were comical and the crowd really got behind them with the cheering. "Marian Pahars, Marian..." As far as entertainment at SMS goes... Bungee jumpers, yodelers, Christians vs lions ???
  10. One on the right (not Fisher) looks like a bloke.
  11. Without doubt. The Saints fans were really getting behind them too. Think it was Wycombe's local under 11 side or something. They seemed to enjoy themselves and Saints cheering when they scored made their day I think. The celebrations we're comical. My personal favourite moment was the last kicker who was about 4 inches shorter than the other kids. Me and Baj started singing, "Marian Pahars, Marian ooooooooohhh...." Kind of sad really, but that really was the most entertaining part of the evening.
  12. We missed him at Norwich too. He was very average. Didn't stop us beating them. Saints can play well without him, we just didn't tonight. The whole team played poorly, it wasn't so much a case of having a missing link. The defence kept hoofing it and bypassing the midfield. The midfield just didn't impose themselves physically on the game, which isn't one of Morgan's strengths.
  13. Millwall probably said that too. Leeds said it at Exeter. Norwich said it against us. C'est la vie.
  14. In the car on the way back. Cold and a bit soggy. Won't be telling the grandkids about that one. Really really drab. For those who went to Swindon way back in summer. It was like that but colder and wetter. Rickie hit a great chance staight at the goalie. Lallana put another just wide of the far post. That was about it really. Lallana put a half chance in the stand. Rickie had a couple of hopeful free kicks that never really bothered the goalie. No real bad or good performances. Just a crap game really, on a very slow pitch.
  15. Utterly abysmal first half. Half time under elevens shoot out was more entertaining, seriously.
  16. I used to find you irritating Bungle, but now you're just a really corny parody of yourself. Do you work in the passport office perchance? Only I applied for a new passport a few months ago and when it came back the nationality said 'Pangaean'. :-k
  17. Ah, duty time then. With you now. Are BA cabin crew paid a basic and then sector pay? I'm just curious as to how it works out.
  18. Really? The CAA limit for flight crew is 900 hours per year. At 27 hours a week she would need about 4 months off. Or is that including turn around time, traveling to and from work etc?
  19. I'm not.
  20. Who works for Unite and will therefore be incredibly biased.
  21. I'm being ironic innit. You in?
  22. Agreed. It's the one's who claim to be the Queen of Bolivia who are proper sauced.
  23. One on the left used to be my flat mate.
