  1. Shame they didn't sponsor Sauber instead.
  2. The home of Ferrari is The Fiorano in Maranello. Near Monza, though I am not sure how much of a role proximity plays with their fan base.
  3. No stop-overs for us. And some of the men I work with aren't exactly closet cases. They're out the closet, accross the landing, down the stairs, out the front door, accross the street looking at shoes in the window of House of Fraser. There's nothing wrong with it of course, it's just that there is an element of truth in certain stereotypes.
  4. Seems about as dull and pointless as Valencia. If it's a replacement I wont be all that bothered, but if it replaces Monza I will Fedex my faeces to Bernie Ecclestone.
  5. The 10% rule applies to the population as a whole, but it will vary considerably within different jobs. For example airline stewards are probably about 50:50. Hairdressers maybe 75%+. To balance that out there will be less in some jobs.
  6. Can't be arsed thinking too hard. The X-Factor winner will be around until the next batch of wannabes comes along. Death... I'm sure Winehouse, Doherty and a couple of rappers will give it a shot.
  7. Most of the art gallery stuff was a bit corny, but I did laugh at Newcastle shirts. Also a bit disappointed they got JB on the show when he had already done a lap in the same car. Seemed especially odd when they had DC on the track in the RBR1, who hasn't done a SIARPC lap yet.
  8. Trying to make art with paintballs in an F1 car.
  9. Ther emust be millions of laws in the UK, hence why people spend years of their lives and thousands of pounds studying law at top universities. There are laws which govern every element of our lives, from having a bonfire in your garden to what you can and can't take on a plane. It's one of the paradoxes of having freedom. I am sure everyone is well aware of this, which is why I find it odd that people become obsessed with such trivial things as taking pictures of certain public buildings. It doesn't interfere with people's freedom, it's just there for our security. 1. Is that the full story? I'd have though if you want to register with the school to be part of a car pool, you might need a background check, but when I went to school (within the last 10 years) I walked to my mates house, got in his car and his mum drove us to school. There was no paper work. The school didn't even know how anyone came to school or with who. 2. First it was closing half a town, now it closing a motorway for six hours. Can't say I've ever been stuck for six hours solid because of an accident. Are you refering to an oil tanker spillage? 3. Anyone they want indefinitely? I thought it was suspected terrorists for up to 28 days, before they had to charge them or release them. 4. The government is telling the local prosecution service to accuse people of rape? I doubt it. I have no doubt there are some slags out there who get drunk, sleep with a stranger, can't remember what happened and decide they have been raped. That is more of a reflection on them than society. I have to say your views on society seem more than a little paranoid. I have never been involved in the four scenario's discussed, and I hope never to be either.
  10. Yes, it's another step towards being a big brother state. First they take away our pictures of Clapham Junction, then they gas all the blacks, Jews and disabled.
  11. Lets have a few nominations, then I'll add a poll for the 10 best candidates. I have to say we've had an embarassment of riches in barely 5 months of football. if anyone has any youtube clips, I'll add them to the OP. Off the top of me 'ead: Lallana vs. Hartlepool - Curling effort into the top right corner from the edge of the area. Connolly vs. Norwich - Cut inside and from the edge of the area curled an effort accross the face of goal, into the top corner. Harding vs. Tranmere - A similar effort, but left footed and from what looked like a tighter angle. Lambert vs. Tranmere - Brilliant free kick from what must have been approaching 35 yards out. Top corner, unstoppable. My personal favourite. Connolly vs. Oldham - I've watched that about 20 times and I'm still convinced he is going to slot it into the bottom right (so was the 'keeper), then bang, top left. Connolly vs. Bristol Rovers - An incisive counter attack, finished off brilliantly. Antonio vs. Bristol Rovers - Another great counter. Dribbled the ball past the half way line, took the p*ss out of two defenders and a cool finish for a 19 year old.
  12. Yep. Palace in January '06.
  13. I agree, seriously underrated. I think Liverpool could do a lot worse when they inevitably get rid of Rafa.
  14. 1. I don't know if you have kids, but assuming you did, would you be happy with any old bugger standing in the changing rooms whilst they're getting changed after PE? Personally, was and when I have kids, I'd like to know that the people teaching them aren't a convicted rapist with a hard drive full of kiddy porn. Presuming guilt? No, but f**k me, they can at least check. 2. That's an exageration, but in that scenario I think I'd rather a potential danger area was fenced off for a couple of hours. Not quite sure it's worth dosens of people getting hurt and killed so you can go to TK Max now rather than come back later. 3. I am trying to think what civil liberties I have lost since terrorism became prominent after 9/11 and 7/7. I can't take liquids on a plane... that's about it. 4. No, she is considered a slag and he is considered to be a dirty sleezeball. No doubt some women do accuse the men of rape but it's hardly grounds for a conviction. If you want to get rat-arsed and sleep with strangers, you have to take the rough with the smooth.
  15. 1 poster to suggest low energy more efficient light bulb CDAJFU 4 posters to respond with "Get behind our lightbulbs FFS!" 10 posters to tell us that Lowe bought the last set of lightbulbs and that he is at fault for them breaking.
  16. For me we need a new RB as a priority. Either keep Trotters or get another CB. We need a left midfielder as Lallana would be better utilised up front. We also need another striker to complement AL, RL and DC. Someone with a bit of pace and height. Another Kenny if you will. Not sure about CM. Wotton, Schneiderlin, Mellis, Hammond and James have that reasonably well covered, although I wouldn't rely on James or Wotton as long term solutions.
  17. Mancinni? How can we start "Pardew to Man City???" threads now?
  18. There's no point in pinning the blame for that game on Saga and Lancs. For a start Saga only came on with about 3 minutes to go and secondly, the whole team were sh*te. We were crap at the start of the season because we were rebuilding a team, almost from scratch, having lost some of our best players. It took time and many of the players still in the side now were playing then and playing badly.
  19. To put a slightly negative slant on things, we need to show top 2 form to get into the playoffs. Games like today and Norwich have shown that we aren't quite there yet and that we need to strengthen to have any chance of overhauling the 9 point deficit.

    Kelvin fit!

    Bart was fine today.
  21. Has the Brentford game not been moved to the Tuesday after the cup game? On the coach home, pretty sh*t performance TBH, our best chance was Harding's effort, which was the last kick of the match. Can't remember getting an effort on target. Really poor performance from the front six. Laxitive midfield and Teflon attack. The defense was actually pretty good and Bart made one brilliant save at the start of the second half. Waigo was complete sh*te. Bart - 7 Little to do, but dealt with what came his way. One great save. Thomas - 7 Deserves a medal for playing with Waigo in front on him. Perry - 7 Read the game well but got beaten in the air on occasions. Some key interceptions on Beckford first half. Jaidi - 7 It's a tie with him and Harding for my MOTM. Both reliable. Harding - 7 Joint MOTM, very good defensively, won us a couple of corners. Nearly leveled at the end. Waigo - 3 Hopeless. Possitionally terrible, kept drifting in towards the centre of the pitch. Wasted the ball. Hammond - 5 Passing was way off, never got hold of the midfield James - 4 As above, made quite a few mistakes. Lallana - 4 Forgot he was there for a lot of the time. Had a couple moves, but didn't create much by way of chances. Lambert - 5 Didn't win many of the hoofs aimed at him. Put one effort just wide in injury time. Connolly - 4 Trying to win headers against players a foot taller than him. Subs: Antonio - 5 Not much of an improvement. Gobern and Trottman - No time, no impact.

    PMS?
  23. I like some elements. F**king good food for a start, sitting infront of the fire watching a cheesy X-mas movie, exchanging gifts. The commercial aspects which start in September are pretty annoying though, as is the X-Factor.

Does that mean the locals finally have an excuse to wear their arctic camoflage trousers?
  25. Obviously other ways of paying footballers would have to be regulated too. Signing on fees can only be a certain number of weeks wages. Goal, appearance and assist bonus' can only be so much. etc.
