Just finished my playlist, it's another depressing one! Sorry guys.

David Furnish is Elton John's husband btw, not his boyfriend. I've got no problems with them having a child, the fact that they're a gay couple doesn't mean they'll be any worse parents than a lot of mixed-sex couples out there. I find it quite funny that people get offended about gay couples having children when there are plenty of scumbags out there who abuse and smack around their own flesh and blood. Surely a same-sex couple is 1000x more deserving of having children than they are?

Truffle oil?! F*cking hell. The ponciest I get with a bit of soup is adding some grated cheese and maybe half a boiled egg!

Southampton v Portsmouth Charity Match

I might pop along to that one - looks good to me. -
Just watched the highlights - didn't catch the game when it was on the telly. Seaborne cost us the game, stupid challenge inside the box for their 3rd goal, what was he thinking?! Also not sure our second penalty was the correct call, Chaplow went down very easily although there was contact made on his shoulder. Really harsh call for Peterborough's 4th goal as well, it hit him under the arm and his back was turned from the ball! Just the pressure of it being the 90th minute, 3-4 and at home meant the referee had to give the penalty. Any other time in the game it would have been 50/50.

Is this the ex-Arsenal Alan Smith, the one with the lisp?

I think RDM did a good job there, but they are the perennial yo-yo club. It'll take some serious investment from the owners or a f*cking good manager to establish them as a Premiership club for more than a season at a time.

Cullen Skink - that's a good Scottish soup right there! Nice and warming on a winter's day.

Which is 'The' band then? When The Low Anthem play that song live, they get everyone to call each other on their mobiles and it creates an amazing noise - truly incredible. Has to be witnessed.

The Co-Operative 'Healthier Choice' tomato and three bean soup, made with lentils, flagolet beans, borlotti beans, blackeye beans, celery, green and red peppers and carrots. 58p from your local Co-op and it's delicious. 120 calories as well.

This is a very difficult thing to decide on - there are time when Kelvin has been horrendous in goal but equally there are times when he has single-handedly won us points with some great saves. He still has the quality, but his old gremlin of inconsistency seems to be creeping back up on him. I think he's certainly good enough to be our No.1, but he does seem to have problems with confidence, as he makes one mistake and then it snowballs into making a whole ream of errors in a number of matches. My opinion: keep things how they are for the time being and re-evaluate in the summer. Kelvin is 34 now, there are dozens of goalies older than him in the football league, but maybe a player/coach role and taking a less active role in first-team duties would be better for next season. I have reservations about Bart being good enough for the NPC. He's good at this level, no doubting that, but there is a gulf in quality between L1 and the Championship. We should look at bringing in a younger, up and coming 'keeper like Joe Lewis, Alex Smithies or Jason Steele to secure our long-term future in goal, because that's a problem that needs solving sooner rather than later.

Also - Gray and Ansbro were great for Scotland today, surely the future of Scottish rugby!

Ireland were exceedingly lucky to win that one, I thought Italy had just done enough to merit their last try, which would have won them the game. Both teams made a lot of errors and I think Ireland were slightly complacent, not good when you're up against an organised side like Italy. If Italy's kicking had been better then they would've had it in the bag, but they missed a few penalties and lost 9 potentially match-winning points. The Scotland vs France game was a cracker. France were on excellent form, their forwards are just unstoppable when they get going. Given that Scotland have got a huge pack it's a real credit to France that time and time again they turned over the ball from scrums and bullied Scotland on set-pieces - usually where we excel. Think AR got this one slightly wrong, Blair should have started and the same for Lamont. When Blair came on our attacking was far more organised and the passing was more intelligent, and Lamont gave us that burst of pace you get from a fresh forward late in the second half, and he took his try very well. Encouraging sides for us Scotland fans, and I think we can beat Wales next weekend. Home game, big crowd, we're high on confidence after a good performance today and have a point to prove in this tournament. Wales looked slightly lethargic against England and aren't particularly confident, although they do have the bonus of having quick wingers, something that we struggled with against France today. Having seen all of the teams in the tournament play now, I reckon France are on course to win the title. It's early days I know, but they were outstanding today and I can only see England beating them, but even then it will be very close-run. Hopefully us Scots won't finish last this year!

Need to shore up our defence if we want automatic promotion - simple as that really.

Really stupid of them to sell Carroll without lining up an immediate replacement, they'll really suffer until they sign a new striker and he settles in. That could be weeks from now. Can't see them going down though, the bottom 3 teams are too weak to make a resurgence. West Ham, Wigan and Wolves to go down in 18th, 19th and 20th with Newcastle finishing 16th or 17th IMO.

Is Stefani playing with No Doubt again?

Ireland making a lot of silly errors, that could cost them the game. Still only 15 minutes in though, Italy 3-0 up.

Ok then. The timing of this speech is too coincidental - Cameron speaks out on extremist Islamic factions just as the EDL prepare to march in Luton. Funny how he criticises the Muslim community for not doing enough to tackle the causes of terrorism and then talks about the need for a 'stronger national identity' when we've got groups like the EDL, BNP etc. stirring up trouble in the first place. FWIW, extremism is present in every society, every culture, every religion, every race and there's not much we can do to eradicate it apart from brainwashing. There will always be people whose views differ from our societal norms, that's just the way the world works. It's just impossible for one nation to share one set of ideals and morals - something that the blinkered Conservatives and far-righters don't get.
