  1. There's a rather large gap between £300 a year to watch Saints 23 times and paying £9000 a year for something your generation got for free...but we've done this argument already several times Dune me ol' mucker.
  2. I was in 41 Row R today and enjoyed it - might look to get a season ticket in that general area next season (sorry NorthamSteve).
  3. He was crap today, but no need to cheer when he gets taken off...he's our player ffs and we should support him. However, I think he needed to come off with Chaplow at HT as it wasn't working.
  4. I wondered about the celebration, didn't know he'd had a baby! Well, obviously HE didn't have a baby, but you know what I mean. Congrats to him on the landmark!
  5. Sh!t, I wondered what the ambulance was for...my condolences to their family. RIP
  6. Good Guly - Always chasing down and wanting the ball when he was moved to midfield. Chambo - A massive threat down the right, he was turning their defenders inside out with his running. A few dives from him today though... Jaidi - Very tidy defensively, never let anything run and was always there to make a good header. If his legs weren't going on him then he'd be my first choice partner for Fonte. Hammond - Dropped deep in the second half to let Lallana push up and did his job very well. He's not very vocal for a captain though. Bad N'Guessan - Had an off day, his touch just wasn't there and none of his runs came off for him. He was sh!te today but that might spurr him on towards an improved performance against Rochdale. The cheering was not on though. Forte - Couple of silly digs at the heels of players that got past him - if I was reffing I would have carded him. Chaplow - Horror tackle in the first half, Adkins was right to take him off at HT. De Jong-esque. Fonte - Not a bad performance, but i'd like to pull him up on his theatrics when he went down. Ok, it was a bad tackle, but he went down, looked up to see the reaction and then went down again. I hate that. Ugly The bloke serving in the Northam concourse.
  7. McGugan, Cox and Wright's goals were better (imo), but my vote went to Rickie anyway!
  8. Never rated him tbh, he worked hard but there was no end product and his passing was terrible. Oh, you mean Gillette!
  9. I shall be in The Giddy Bridge in London Road from 1pm onwards - an opportunity not to be missed! Usually relatively quiet in there on match days, it's a Wetherspoons so it's quite cheap (and does food if you fancy a spot of lunch) and as far as I know it's not showing either of the aforementioned games.
  10. Please delete all of the player threads. Bandwagon pr!cks.

I usually just put a quid on a long-odds accumulator every now and then, wouldn't say i'm a regular gambler. Won several smaller bets but never a jackpot

I use WilliamHill, find the odds are good on there. Betfair are doing quite a good offer atm, if you sign up and place a £10 bet on a football game, they'll give you 3 more bets of £10 for free. Very good actually!
  13. Personally I wouldn't have given a f*ck if the EDL had attacked the Royals' car because i'm not a royalist and don't really care for the Royal Family. The students had a more legitimate cause for protest than the EDL do imo, the 'Islamification of Europe' isn't something that people can control without extreme measures whereas the student protests were about policy changes - easily reversed. The whole EDL thing just comes across to me as a thinly-veiled cover for a bunch of louts to go and smash up some city centres. Which, I suppose, is what also happened at the student protests (thought i'd get in there with that one before you do).
  14. The student protests got out of hand in some places, yes, but EDL demonstrations are ALWAYS violent and ALWAYS require heavy policing. The student protests were over-policed if anything, and their presence spurred the more moronic amongst the crowd to go a bit mental. Anyway, it's pretty difficult to compare such a wide spectrum of people (students) to a small-ish group of white, far-right thugs. It's like comparing chalk and a melted toothbrush with a razor blade in it, hidden under a prison mattress.
  15. Lol @ Turkish having a Pancake style meltdown.
  16. Can't help but think they'll just elect some other moron! Great news for the country though, they were in need of a change.
  17. Hodgson is more adept with overachievers like Fulham than 'big' clubs like Liverpool. He'll do well at West Brom, he'll be a stabilising presence there. Sweepstake on when they sign Konchesky?
  18. So the logical 'next step' is to smash your way through the door...lmfao!
  19. He's also pretty proficient at hitting pedestrians at zebra crossings...
  20. Probably just some dingleberries, it's understandable.
  21. Hartlepool usually sign him as a free agent on Football Manager 2011, i'm not sure if that helps.
  22. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-12412739 Good for them I say, although Upton Park has so much history...and in the direction they're headed in they won't be able to fill half of the stadium in 3 or 4 years!
  23. Barnard, eh? No relation are you?
  24. Ah, I was wondering when you'd pop up. Mr Turkish, good evening to you. That's fair enough mate, i'm just pointing out the holes they've worked into their own policies.
