Yes, but surely you need doctors, nurses, lawyers, teachers, politicians etc in order to have a functioning society? This just means we'll have to get them from abroad, and we can't have that. FHS, call up your local education board and see what they can do - you might be able to get a local resident bursary or something..
-
FHS, this is what Dunce et al don't realise. It's the whole next generation of teachers, lawyers, nurses, doctors etc being priced out of their courses.

Thanks LGLL. It's just an avenue i'm exploring at the moment - putting some feelers out for careers after my degree. I would quite like to do it though, but just need to see what else is out there for students atm.

Milner first played for the U21s when he was 16 (I think), he's been around for ages. Can't believe he's still only in his early 20s! Congrats to Alex, great achievement for him. He's definitely talented enough to play at that level, i'm sure he'll do well! Will be nice to have an England international in our first-team

Anything in the humanities really - was thinking Religious Education as I find that quite interesting (although I hated it at school).
-
Yeah, when I read that back I thought someone would say that...
-
We got any on here? Just looking into some future career paths and would like to hear a bit more about what the job involves etc.

Somebody played their 'Get Out of Jail' card tonight! 3 points in the bag though, hopefully we can exploit P'boro's dodgy defence on the weekend! COYR

League Cup Semi-Final 2nd leg, after a 0-0 stalemate at St. Andrews, the valiant Saints come from 2-0 down to thrash Birmingham 6-2! Leigh Griffiths scored 5 and Rickie nabbed a penalty. Really chuffed with that!

I also enjoyed it, slightly hit and miss but some stonking tunes made up for it. 7/10

You're one of an elite club of 18. You lucky bastards. Just whacked your playlist on now Pancake, will report back. EDIT: Glancing through the playlist, there are some good tracks in there. The Wu Tang track in particular is one of my favourite hip-hop standards.

Cheers Steve, i'll bear that in mind. My place back home does haircuts for £10.50, so I usually get it done there, but woke up this morning and looked a proper mess so I thought I needed to get it sorted. The calculator has to be a Casio 85fx-GT with the University hologram on the back - otherwise they take it off you in the exam. Have to buy it from the Union shop. P!sstake. Book sales, i've heard nothing about. John Smith's carries a lot of second-hand books but most of the core texts on my course are from new editions, so there aren't any second-hand ones floating about. Shame really. And Stain, that's very original

Look like jeans to me, no suit jacket either.

My life has taken a turn for the worse, had to pay £22 for a f*cking Stats book yesterday, £15 for a calculator today and then another £18 for an Anthropology book from Amazon. And a haircut for £14. FML.

And i'm sure that the vast majority of Nazi soldiers didn't believe in killing Jews, but it doesn't change the fact that millions of innocents died. I'm not likening the two situations (and i've crossed internet argument regulations - as soon as somebody mentions the Nazis the argument is invalid) but you can't say that there isn't a large contingent of members in the EDL who are racially motivated to protest against the construction of mosques etc.
-
Lol @ the EDL's mission statement's #1 point being the protection of human rights...since when does smashing some ethnic bloke's face in with your fist mean protecting his human rights? Glad Dune's back though, lightens the place up a bit.

No, your real name is Steve Woolmore. (You did it to Toby...)

Afternoon, Puncheon is a petulant knob who very rarely passes and tries speculative long-range shots which hit the target maybe 5% of the time. My personal favourite memory of watching him play was witnessing him shoot 55 yards over the crossbar from INSIDE THE AREA, nearly hitting the roof of St Mary's. He's got talent to an extent, but his lack of a team ethic and limited vision will always stunt him as a footballer. Maybe Ollie can get him working hard, but I doubt it. Just another primadonna with a bloated opinion of himself. Oh, and he wore jeans to our owner's memorial service. Total w4nker.

You're right Ludwig, Owen Hargreaves is not home-grown. He was born and raised in Canada to Welsh and English parents, and was eligible for all 3 nations. He's the only capped England International to have never lived in the UK (when he won his first cap in 2001) and only the second to have won a cap for England while playing for a club not in the English leagues. I wouldn't worry JLT, Forte is an English national but he qualifies to play for Barbados through his parents. He represented England at U19 level and has played in England all his career, so he is certainly home-grown.

I'd happily pay a tenner anyway, if you think about is £5 is nothing. I understand that there are thousands of free forums out there, but I prefer this one. If the money could be put to good use (i.e. a new server) then i'd say it's a bargain.

Window doesn't shut for another hour - plenty of time for business. Get Lewis and Mackail-Smith in, Adkins!

Agree with Baj, PS3 runs all of those things and it's the best games console as well.
