  1. They didn't want to be in it when they could be playing pointless friendlies instead...
  2. Which is why they recently protested outside a mosque in P*rtsmouth, a region particularly famous for its Militant Islamic principles!
  3. God, what an awful signing! Couldn't they loan someone in until the end of the season instead rather than going for 34 year old Championship rejects!?
  4. Or some might say that densely-populated areas with high unemployment, lower than average levels of education and inadequate levels of policing to cope with the amount of people are ticking time-bombs, no matter what their ethnic make-up is.
  5. Yes, the debate on here is very one-sided, that's true. And there are most certainly people in the EDL who are non-racist, but the fact of the matter is that the EDL hides (or tries to hide) its racism under a thin gloss of a mission to prevent the 'Islamification of Europe'. In reality, the EDL is just futile vigilante justice - not to mention persecuting an entire religion for no apparent reason. Yes, there are principles in Islam that I don't agree with, and there's no doubt that some of the other principles are seriously misinterpreted by a nutty few who then go and blow themselves up, but that's no reason that innocent families should be persecuted. There are extremist nutters in every religion, you should read up on the Westboro Baptist Church!
  6. I believe you forgot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8Ao63nmzuE
  7. Well, you can read 'The Opinionator' or you can read actual government statistics: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/number-of-attacks-on-ethnic-minorities-soar-398270.html 41,000 reported attacks on ethnic minorities in 2005/6. 7% of murder victims are Asian, only 4.4% of the British Population is of Asian descent (including Chinese). And after the Luton march, the homes of 2 Muslim families were attacked, their windows smashed and the word 'EDL' spray-painted on their front doors.
  8. Ffs, forgot that D!ck was censored on here - could somebody change the thread name please?
  9. I didn't see this until The Independent had an obituary on him a few days back, and don't remember reading about this on here. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-12158637 An incredible man in incredible times, may he RIP.
  10. 11.3 will be out within the next few weeks probably, read MLG's post at the top of the page.
  11. It was announced at E3 in 2010, and it looks to be arriving soon! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dYgrMz_XBI I'm a massive Zelda geek, so as soon as this comes out my whole life is going to revolve around this game. No shame for me in admitting that!
  12. Victoria Beckham discovers 'true sexuality' at Indian Detox Centre.
  13. What Hutch said. They're rushing themselves into being a global superpower and most nations still do what China does, and do it better.
  14. Fascinating documentary on the development of China and the role it plays in the world. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00ykxg9/The_Chinese_Are_Coming_Episode_1/ China will be easily the world's dominant superpower within the next 50 years, bow down to them!
  15. 1) Oxo is one of the highest rated youngsters in the country. 2) Antonio, while very good last season, has not been anywhere near as good for Reading. 3) Antonio is out of contract in June, therefore we can get him for free.
  16. F*ck sake, I was going to post that!
  17. I actually have a man-crush on Cortese. *Sigh*
  18. I like this version better:
  19. Yes, but it doesn't go to say that such time can only be spent with the mother - parental bonds are unisex.
  20. Wasn't sure whether to put this in Arts or Computer Games, but figured i'd get more responses in here. Which video game (or series) has the best score do you think? I've always been a fan of Koji Kondo's Zelda music, he's scored all of the games and the music is just brilliant. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qi99oDALtRU&feature=related

  22. Yeah, fight the power Turkish! I haven't been 'told' to think anything, this is my own opinion. I believe that as long as they love the child and care for it properly, then they are qualified to be parents. I don't think sexual orientation comes into it at all, and as for the maternal aspect - plenty of children have grown up in single parent families with only a father and not a mother and turned out to be perfectly normal people. If we don't have a direct rolemodel in our family then we find them elsewhere, through teachers, family friends, neighbours, parents of friends etc. The courts will often side with mothers because in general (IN GENERAL), the father is the working professional in the family unit, whereas in the early lives of the children, the mother is more focussed on the children and mothers will often give up work for years until their children are in full-time education. My mother gave up work when I was born, and only returned to work when both my younger brother and I were in full-time education. She left work again when my youngest brother was born, and only went back when he was in full-time education. That is the reason for the slant in custody.
  23. What's wrong with inexperienced parents getting help from a nanny? Almost every new parent gets help in the early stages from somebody - be it their own family or a hired professional. I would venture that you're just morally against same-sex couples having children. The words 'clutching' and 'straws' come to mind.
  24. I wouldn't say that, both have said that they're going to take their professional lives a lot easier now and concentrate on the child's upbringing. Thousands and thousands of parents around the world employ the services of a nanny to help look after their children - bear in mind as well that neither has had a child before either.
  25. Thousands of children have been raised the same way by professional parents, both men are very busy! I'm sure they won't be shirking their duties as parents, but if you can afford to have someone to help out when you are inexperienced as a parent and are leading the hectic lifestyle of a world-famous musician then I would say you're more than entitled to do so.
