Watched that the other day. The dialogue (especially the monologues) was excellent, but the ending really put me off the film. It just spoiled the whole film for me, seemed completely far-fetched to come to that conclusion and then to do it on live tv...
Good film, maybe not the best but certainly very good. Sting as the 'head mod' made me lol. Hate watching a film on a terrestrial channel though because of the adverts.. Film 4 (I think) showed Aliens around Christmas and they put an ad break right in the most inopportune place in the bit at the end with the amazing chase scene. Really puts me off watching a film.
I'm just about to watch True Romance, that's an awesome film.
It's going to be raining like f*ck there during March Dune, so don't get your hopes up about doing anything too active. Walking in Snowdonia is the obvious one, there's also a few golf courses in the area so if you play (and don't mind the weather) then you could play a round or two. Porthmadog FC are playing at home on the 12th March if you're still around then as well.
Take some good books as back-up.
Das Boot is excellent, it looks like a long one to sit through but once you start watching you're compelled to continue. Also, one of the most emotionally confusing endings i've seen in a film (are we supposed to be happy or sad!?).
