  1. I had a pair of in-ear Beats headphones - they were bloody superb...until the dog decided to break them.
  2. We're going to give KK a Father Christmas beard and leave it at that.
  3. Just picked up the headphones now, have to say i'm very impressed for £25. Bargain! Holepuncture, have you received yours yet?
  4. Obviously feel sorry for the bloke, he's done a very good job with them considering his lack of experience but this was always coming. The owners want to be in the Champions League, i'm not sure Hughton could get them there. WGS anyone?
  5. Is Tony Lynam still a member on the site? He would probably have been notified if the club had been put up for sale, seeing as he was so instrumental in the Pinnacle bid..
  6. I'd love to see Alex stay with us right up until the Prem, that would be the best way for him to learn his trade as a player, seeing how teams play at all these different levels and improving as a player while our squad is improved by new players coming in. As much as i'd like to see that, I doubt it will happen like that. He'll be poached sometime soon by a Premiership club where he won't get played and his development will suffer as a result. But we'll get a f*ckload of money for selling him to do that, so it's not all bad.
  7. Agree, Guildhall is a really crap venue. However, The Specials are playing Wolverhampton and Plymouth...not notorious cities for bands to play in. My Dad told me before about all the great bands he saw in Southampton, Queen, AC/DC, Iron Maiden....now we get Jedward and every single crap comedian out there.
  8. Why is it that our city is rarely used on national tours any more? We used to get a lot of bands playing in the city on their national tours and I have seen many bands over the years at Guildhall, but now we very rarely get any decent bands playing here. What's sparked this off is the announcement of an Autumn 2011 tour by The Specials (YESSS!!!), where they are playing Plymouth, Brighton and Bournemouth, but not Southampton. What gives?!
  9. Forget Hargreaves, Yaya Toure is having problems fitting in at Citeh. His wages might be a bit of a stretch, but he'd be a decent acquisition for us.
  10. Tbf though, Kelvin didn't even have a save to make yesterday, which just goes to show how hard the defence were working. Fair play to them.
  11. Easyjet
  12. No, he was injured but came back about a month or so ago. Struggling to hold down a place in the team.
  13. [video=youtube;L-skCuh4_AI]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-skCuh4_AI&feature=grec_index http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_JVekPzUVo&feature=grec_index
  14. Google tells me that Jongleurs is/was in Bargate, is that the same one?
  15. I didn't see him play for Saints, but I have seen him play for Arsenal a few times, including once in the season when he transferred from us. Oxo has played a lot better for us than Theo in that clip. He ran the game against Dagenham (who were, admittedly, a poor team) and scored two very good goals. I think, aside from Lallana and Barnard, Oxo has been our best player this season. It's harder to be a 16 year old 5'9 winger in L1 than it is in the Championship imo, because of the lower quality of defending and higher risk of injury.
  16. Yes, I think he is actually...

    Comedy

Anyone know where there's a decent comedy club/night in town? I fancy going to see some next week but not sure what there is, I think there's a Jongleurs in town..?
  18. I just saw Keane coming out of Asda in town with a tub of Rocky Road, some Doritos and a pack of Biros. Looked as if he's on his way to an all-night contract signing session at SMS!
  19. Punch looking lively on the left, although he's not beating their RB anytime soon, he's got him covered.
  20. Scrap that, it's working now. http://eplsite.com/stream1.html
  21. Anyone got a working stream link? IraqGoals is crap now it's changed to Eplsite
  22. Not typically beautiful, but the way she carries herself on the stage during songs is just really alluring, anyone else that has seen Arcade Fire live will agree with me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGXMlyCfvF8&feature=related
  23. Forums are popular because it gives everyone the chance to talk their arses off about any subject with like-minded people. I've lost count the amount of times i've bored my family and friends to death with tales of Saints games and rumours, so it's nice to be able to talk (or type) to people about goings-on and the sort. No longer will you be "that annoying bloke in the pub who won't shut up about Saints" because you'll be too busy on your laptop to be at the pub! I think SaintsWeb is popular because it's the best, simple as that really. There's an eclectic mix of people which always makes for interesting and thought-provoking debates, and everyone is generally very nice and friendly. It's also a very good way to meet fellow Saints fans, after just a few posts on a thread in The Arts forum a band was set up including me, Baj and NorthamSteve, which is going well.
  24. Doesn't seem like Balotelli's fault, he was caught by a bad tackle, complained to Boateng (who could have injured him) and then got grabbed by the throat! Having said that, he does have a temperament issue...
  25. I'll remember to bring a bit of extra cash with me then
