Seeing as Lallana and Puncheon are our only recognised senior right wingers at the moment, and neither of them are natural right wingers, i'd say there. Occupying the same role that Papa did last season.

Beattie won't come here, no matter how much we want him to. He won't want to play second fiddle to Lambert, and i'm not sure we'd have enough pace up front if we played the two together. Eastwood's career has come off the rails a bit recently, but the potential is still there. Worth a go? Also, what about Rob Earnshaw or Nathan Tyson from Forest? They've slipped behind a bit in the pecking order as NF have about 30555 strikers but they're both very pacy and are great finishers. Earnshaw would probably be on high wages though... -

No worries babe If you get in there quick enough (ie first day of the season) you can get Muamba on loan too, he is a beast in L1. -
Saw he'd been released, HCPDAJFU. Very versatile, can play on either wing or up front. Wages may be an issue though...

Gavin McCann from Bolton, you can get him for about 750k which is pretty reasonable, as he can do a good job in the CCC. -
Haha, the new version is f*cking awful. And yes, World In Motion is the best football song ever, hands down. John Barnes should've taken up rapping instead of management...

D'oh! Think I was just about to watch Shaun of the Dead after I wrote that, little Freudian slip there! Just finished watching the first of the biographical films in the BBC's 1980s season, this one was centered around Boy George and it's called Worried About The Boy. I'm not a Boy George or Culture Club fan really, but I know of them through their music, and I thought it was really good, it featured some excellent turns by Marc Warren and Mark Gatiss, who plays Malcolm McLaren with such great gusto and accuracy, you'd swear it was a cameo by the man himself! We just don't see enough of Gatiss nowadays... Even if you're not a fan of Culture Club, you should probably watch it anyway, because it's very well written and a good way to while away an hour and a half. It's up on BBC iPlayer now. I believe one of the upcoming adaptations has Nick Frost playing John Self, I shall look forward to that.

Mentioned Tonge on the last page, Soares would be a quality signing too. Both worth opening the chequebooks for. -

Ali Dia's on a free I believe. -
Just thought it'd be nice to have a thread where people could discuss what made them become football fans, preferably with some YouTube clips. I suppose what made me a football fan was watching the World Cup back in '98. I'd played football a lot at school before then (as you do), and vaguely followed various high profile English teams (as you do), but i'd never really got properly involved in it until I watched a few games of the World Cup. I was completely taken aback by the skills of some of the players, and there were some real idols at that time. I was thrilled while watching Brazil play, as they were really at their peak at that time with some great players like Roberto Carlos, Cafu, Rivaldo, Dunga and Ronaldo, hailed by many as the best player in the world. I remember not being allowed to stay up to watch the final, but I snuck into my mum and dad's room when they were downstairs and watched it on their tiny portable TV. Shame Brazil didn't win the cup in the end, but it was a cracking game anyway! When the new season started in August, I took up supporting Saints, and i've stuck with them ever since (for some reason!) Bit of nostalgia from the Q/F, Brazil vs Denmark, one of the best games of the tournament:

Been watching a lot of French TV recently with my French exams coming up, and came across this guy performing on TV5 (who do a show called Acoustic in which they get a lot of bands in to do sessions, think Jools Holland but with more garlic). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IW_L9Vz2Alk I like him, although he's quite bubblegum. He sounds kind of like a modern day James Brown imo...

Cracking goal, a few more of those next season wouldn't go amiss Mr Schneiderlin! Hopefully we can hang onto him because he's really starting to show his potential now, we'd be stupid to sell him now unless we're talking silly money. I wonder if Pards is watching and taking notes on his positioning on the pitch, next season we should play him in less of a flat central midfield so he can play more in front of the centre backs in a Xabi Alonso role. More like: ---------ST-------- LW--------------RW -----CM----CM----- ---------MS-------- -
Yup, saw that, going to give that a whizz too.

Having looked at myself in a mirror about 3 weeks ago and saw that I was in fact a lot bigger than I thought I was, I decided to go on a diet. 2 and 1/2 weeks later, i'm feeling a lot better and i'm a bit slimmer (didn't weigh myself when I started so not much point in starting now imo). I also have knee problems, which rules out serious exercise for at least a few more weeks (don't want to run the risk of doing it again and aggravating things), so this looks like the perfect thing for me to start on. Think i'm going to start on a push up/sit up regime sometime this week and compliment that with some swimming as my knee's not solid enough yet to run on for extended periods of time. Thanks for the link S_S, and i'll get cracking now!

-------------Schmeichel-------------- Finnan---Kisnorbo---Sh1ttu---Quedrue -----------Koren----McCann---------- Elliott------------------------Lansbury ----------Beattie----McLean---------- Picked from the more realistic suggestions on the thread, this team would rip up L1! Now Pards and Cortest know where to start... -
jagger (This thread has probably boosted your post count quite considerably too BTF! Don't want to go through 205 pages to count, but you've contributed a lot )

My pleasure I think BTF owes me some thanks as well! dream = nightmare
