  1. Ok. Basically... Everything that happened through Series 1 - 5 actually happened. Presumably they all died in the big explosion at the end of Series 5 So at the start of Series 6, mostly every character was dead. The Island took the form of purgatory for each character that died. Each character had to resolve their own personal conflicts with people, and settle their scores involving past experiences etc. When they'd settled their scores, they could move on from purgatory and be at peace (hence the church scene at the end). Ben was not allowed in the church as he had not settled any of his scores, and had that to look forward to so he could move on. The situation with Locke is this... He died when he died, the 'reanimated' Locke was in fact the Smoke Monster possessing his body in order to usurp the Protector and gain control of the island. This is why nobody could kill him except the Protector. The situation with Richard and Jacob was this... Jacob was always fighting with Richard to gain control of the island. As Jacob died and Richard left the island, the island needed to find two newbies to fill the gaps left. Jacob's role was taken by Locke, who was reanimated for the purpose. Richard's role was taken by Hurley. And Ben? Ben was always Jacob's #2, he will never get the power that he desires and will have to help Locke begrudgingly. However, if he can settle his scores in purgatory (unlikely), he too can move on like the rest of the original cast. Not sure if that's right (most of it is probably wrong), but that was my interpretation anyway.
  2. Won't get past the quarter finals with that team.
  3. He's irreplaceable at this level. If we were in the Prem, it would be a different story.
  4. Anyone who thinks that Schneiderlin wouldn't be a big loss is clearly mental - watch Southend away and then watch a game when we didn't have him, the difference will be astounding. The way that we turned over Huddersfield at home (5-0) was mostly down to his play, being able to pick out a pass and create chances out of nothing. Without him, in say, the Yeovil away game (1-0, 93rd minute goal), we struggled for most of the game and were outplayed for a solid 45 minutes in the second half. Some might say that was down to the pitch, but that's not really an excuse as it was one of the last games of the season and we'd played on pitches like that already at Stockport, Exeter, Wycombe etc. Morgan gives us creativity in midfield, his game has been vastly improved this season compared to last and he's now an absolutely vital part of our team. Without the likes of Harding, Lallana, Schneiderlin and Lambert, we would be nowhere near L1 title challengers. I can't think of any players that are as good as him that would a) Drop to L1 level and b) Be as affordable as he is, as he's on far less than Lambert and Connolly for example.
  5. That's what I meant! D'oh!
  6. You've only gone and spoiled the game now BO is Ludwig, yes.
  7. No, it's Matthew Le God.

Scowcroft is slow as f*ck and getting on a bit now, but Burgess CDAJFU for sure. Bullish and powerful, good in the air and holds the ball up well. Not sure whether he'd play second fiddle to Rickie though when he could easily get first team football at most other clubs at L1 level and perhaps even CCC (P*mpey?).
  9. Ties in with what I heard (and posted on the HCDAJFU thread) the other day, that a number of French clubs are looking at him. Couldn't see him going for £1m though, that's a paltry sum considering we paid £1.2m for him and he's a key, key player in our side.
  10. You're not alone, i'm prone to succumbing to a Malibu and Pineapple Juice from time to time. Nothing to worry about.

He's turned into a bit of a ping-pong footballer sadly, can't hold down a place at a club. Very good keeper at this level though, he's certainly better than Forecast.
  12. He drinks green beer.
  13. The Divine Comedy - BANG! Goes the Knighthood Lovely. I shall have to have a listen to Pin Me Down's album Spudgun, followed the project from setup but news of an album must've slipped past me. Will have a listen and report back - I must say that Kele's solo stuff is magnificent as well.

Noticed that as well, doesn't surprise me tbh. Can see him going to a newly promoted L1 club or perhaps Torquay if they're still interested in him (although I remember reading a Torquay fan's post on here about Jake, saying that he'd played well for the first half of the season and then lost it completely in the second and had dropped out of favour).
  15. Would be an absolute travesty if Palace go under and P*mpey don't. No club should be given preferential treatment, and that is exactly what's happening with this situation at the moment. The FA aren't bailing Palace out, yet they've been pretty heavily involved with P*mpey's financial straits.
  16. No. FWIW, I think BO was planted by Watford FC as an inside scout for SFC - getting the real opinions on the players. Seeing as they're skint now, it makes sense to assume that he was laid off by the club as a cost-cutting measure. Once on S4E he made a fake username and started posting nasty things about me
  17. I won a penalty shootout tournament at a school fete once.
  18. You'd be stupid to bet on anyone except Cotteril tbh...although 20/1 is worryingly high!
  19. Maybe he'll prove us all wrong and become a good player at that level, but I don't think his performances this season warranted a Prem move. Fair enough, he was sh!t hot in the first half of the season, but after he scored against Man Utd he went from hot sh!t to dog sh!t. His bad attitude reared it's head when he got subbed a couple of times as well. Nevertheless, not a bad signing on a free, but possibly a bit of a gamble on Everton's part. Leeds really lost out though, considering clubs were chasing after him for over £2m in January.
  20. Buzzin Orn has changed names, but i'm not saying what it is now...
  21. It is odd, but did the Israeli forces really need to come on board and start shooting people? 9/10 reports are saying that the Israeli boarders started shooting first, then the aid workers retaliated, resulting in aid worker casualties and fatalities. Surely there were other ways of preventing the aid reaching the Gaza Strip short of a boarding of the ship though, what about some kind of boat-blockade?
  22. Le Fondre...i'm not so sure tbh. Good at L2, could be decent enough at L1 level, but remember we're looking to build a team to take us up to the Premiership. Agree about the young and hungry part, as we're mainly looking for an understudy here, as Lambert and Barnard work well together and scored bucketloads of goals (combined totals) last season and we have David Connolly waiting in the wings. However, only time can tell, and i'd love it if we signed Le Fondre and the gamble paid off. I think the same could be applied to Chris Dagnall, who scored 20 goals for Rochdale last season and is out of contract now. Sc*nthorpe are rumoured to be interested and Rochdale have offered a contract extension, but I reckon we could easily oust those two.
  23. Yup, White has been released and AOC is more of an attacking midfielder (and he's also 16). We need another striker at least, because there are doubts over the fitness of Connolly still, and he may not accept the contract he's been offered, which would mean that we'd have only Lambert and Barnard as the strikers in our team. Imo we need another pacy striker (Vassell) and a taller striker who can hold up the ball (Gary Alexander from Millwall CDAJFU). Another CM, a RB or two, a RM and a CB and we'll be sorted for the season at least.
  24. Tournament structure here to help predictors out: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/world_cup_2010/groups_and_teams
