  1. That is an insult to Telfer who was solid. Cuco the CLown on the other hand.........he is just a p*** poor player who should not be anywhere near the 1st team. Just don't see where goals are coming from. Writing was on the wall against Hull.....ponderous, slow no attacking threat and it has steadily got worse from there. McQueen was good 1st half and that was about it. The rest were awful.....poor Austin: zero service and we are not even creating chances to miss any more. Puel has some serious soul searching to do and a lot to put right.
  2. Sort it out Puel - these performances are simply not good enough. F*****g s***e and I would rather Yoshi at RB than the abomination that is Cuco the Clown.
  3. OMG - that must be just about the worst peice of play I have ever seen from a professional player. Take a bow you useless c**t Martina.
  4. Really has been very, very poor with zero creativity or cutting edge and we even look shaky defensively now. Worrying times - if you can't score you are not going to do well in many games and we never look like scoring. Shane Long has reverted to type (****e), Jay is a shadow and Austin has zero service and needs 3 or 4 chances to score one. Redmond - totally anonymous and no drive or flair in midfield. Simply put, we are currently an awful, awful team to watch.
  5. This is painful to watch.....we have not had a single shot in the 2nd half and don't look like having one
  6. Sorry, but no-one can be happy with this lacklustre performance. We simply have no movement in midfield and it is so slow and ponderour and never looks threatening. I just don't get it - we were so dynamic a few weeks back and now we are just terrible.
  7. We so desperately need a striker in the January window. Without one, we could well be in a relegation dogfight as there is almost zero threat up front from us.
  8. How the f**k is Martina a professional footballer?
  9. Well, that was ****e. Utter ****e. We just never look like scoring and our fluidity of earlier this season is but a distant memory. Shane Long has been absolutely terrible as have the midfield 3 of Hojberg, Clasie and JWP. Our build up is so slow, delivery into the box shocking and our forwards look like they could play for the next month and not come close to scoring. Worrying times and Puel needs to start earning his money now. This is simplynot good enough.
  10. Absolute f******* sh***. Martina should not be anywhere near the first team: total liability. This now means we need to score and, as ever, this looks highly unlikely with our ponderous play and lack of quality up front.
  11. Hi Winner - yeah, spooky., I was looking at Zwift Strava segments and seeing how we were close to being 'twinnies'!!!! I also experienced a drop in resistance on the Watopia mountains yesterday after the FTP test (which nearly killed me!!!!) Like you, I think the Kikr underestimates the power. I did a challenging hill round my way at the weekend and it seemed much easier after a couple of sessions with the Kikr. On my dumb trainer it had me pushing out 4 Watts per Kg and now with the smart trainer it is around 2 To be honest, I am trying hard not to be too anal about the whole thing as, at the end of the day, I do this out of enjoyment rather than trying to be a racer. Approaching 50 that ain't ever going to happen! However, it is still nice to be able to outpace younger riders and to feel good outlasting many folks on the mountains and hills!!!! I certainly found out West that although not being quick on the mountains keeping it nice and steady I would overtake many folks that went out hard and had to keep stopping to regroup and recover. The tortoise and the hare spring to mind.........
  12. What a difference a smart trainer makes. On my dumb trainer FTP exercises claimed I had an FTP of around 300 (I wish!) but when I did it today, 181....way, way harder and much more realistic. Unfortunately power to weight hovers around 2 and don;t know how to improve that.
  13. Another stunning day here in Northern Virginia - incredible weather for this time of year (got to 72) and had a great 40 mile ride with a bunch of good folks with lots of hills. Truly stunning scenery and pretty fast, especially for this time of year. We finished just in time as a couple of hours later the weather turned and dropped 25 degrees and became really windy and rainy! Truly blessed to have such great riding country round here and so many good people to ride with.
  14. Sorted! Looks like the issue was my son had left the PS4 on (which has an active Bluetooth on it) so maybe this was interfering somehow. Turned the PS4 off, did the spindown and hey presto - all seemed to work OK and power output was much mroe what I would expect to see. Cheers for the tips guys.
  15. Thanks for the heads up guys......going to give Wahoo a call today. Tried everything suggested on the various sites and no dice. In some ways it is quite funny: I am connected via ANT+ and made sure I did not have my phone near me late last night. Hopped on and tried disabling ERG and then went on a ride. It was on the flats and started OK with good feel for the right resistance and within 60 seconds I could not even turn the pedals! Something, somewhere is not quite right! I reckon a private FB group would be excellent VfTT!
  16. Cool - just set up my Snap and very, very disappointed and scratching my head as to what I have done wrong. I can barely turn the pedals and my power output has gone through the floor. Even in an easy gear it is tough to turn the pedals and no matter how many times I do a spindown the result is the same. I know ebough about my road riding to know this thing is miles off right now. Outdoors on my own I can hold a 22-23mph for a good amount of time on the flats - on the Snap (using Zwift) it is about 15.5mph and feels like a ton more effort than riding outdoors. If you can shed any light on any fixes that would be great - otherwise I think I will be returning the kit.
  17. Cheers VfTT.....gave that a go last night and certainly makes the time go way faster. I am still waiting on my Kikr Snap so am having to use my old non-smart trainer (CycleOps) and had it at medium resistance but all felt a bit too easy and not able to elevate HR enough so will need to make resistance higher. I had kind of forgotten how much easier (but harder) it is cycling indoors. No wind resistance, having to hammer the whole time and sweating like there is no tomorrow. Winner - have you noticed a difference re. difficulty on Zwift since you got your smart trainer?
  18. Sure the p***k will whine about something else. The turnout in this election was quite low - quite surprising when you think what was at stake. The stay aways cost the Democrats this election. Two deeply flawed candidates and the most flawed won - not a great feeling. Can't help thinking that Trump may actually end up being more liberal than many Democrats. Now that would be fun to watch to see the Republicans implode....or maybe that is just wishful thinking!
  19. You are a **** of the highest order buctootim. Crying like a baby because a vote did not go your way - and missing the crux of the argument.......people complaining about the outcomes of votes/elections and yet not participating in said votes/elections. This is the way democracy works - whether you like the outcome or not. And, once again, I am not pro-Trump but I am pro-democracy and respect the outcome. Do you?
  20. I have an Edge 510 and am quite happy with it. Like VFtT, I only have a few items displayed: cadence, speed, distance, heart rate and climbing......on most rides it really would not be that safe to look at the Garmin as I do a lot more group rides now. The Garmin helped enormously to start with but now most of my rides are based on feel as opposed to cadence, heart rate, etc. Its good for bragging rights (or lack of) after a good ride though. Winner - I use Zwift at the moment. It's OK but I think I'll probably use it more for a training regime than the circuits as I ahve found myself pretty bored the 2 times I have done the London ride. Any recommendations/tips on how to make it more interesting?
  21. Actually, yes I do know a fair bit about this as I do a lot of work with the US Government. And I can 100% tell you - if anyone else had done this they would be in jail. Period. There have been Navy personnel jailed for taking a picture of themselves in a nuclear sub and everyone (and I mean everyone) I come into contact with at the US Government says the same thing. Those emails should never have been on a private server. But that was likely just one of many reasons she lost the election - the lower turnout from Democrats and the black community being the main reason. Buctootim - are you seriously as thick as you come across? Turning this into one of your 'boo hoo poor me, Brexit, blah, blah, blah'. Just for your benefit you thick t**t, I am saying that a lot of the people demonstrating against Trump are people that likely did not bother voting. I don't understand some of you - democracy means people have a say through their vote. Yet for too many it seems that if the vote goes against them it is all wrong, can't be right and needs to be reversed. And do not take that as I supported Trump - I did not.
  22. Oh, and last thought for the day...... Don't know if it is being covered in the UK but there are demonstrations against Trump in many cities. Very much (I believe) like the UK a large proportion of these demonstrators are the 'me, me, me' Millennials.....the very same Millennials that did not get off their butts and vote but then want to complain about the outcome. Some reports say the turnout was around 16% for Millennials
  23. What a shock that election was. I can honestly tell you that no-one here could ever see that result coming - and I mean no-one: including Trumps campaign. Now the shock has passed it kind of starts to make a bit of sense and I think VFtT hit the nail on the head. I live in Northern Virginia which is a bubble and unlike the rest of the country. Whether East Coast (Virginia up) or West Coast, the big cities are quite liberal and outward thinking. The Mid West and rural communites are the absolute opposite. There are a lot of disenfranchised people out there - and they made the shock possible. Clinton was almost universally despised and if she had been a regular Joe she would have been jailed for the emal scandal - without question. Add in the news that folks on Obamacare (those people not covered by big company plans) were about to see their health premiums rise upwards of 22%, talk of illegal immigrants being granted amnesty, etc. and you had a perfect storm for Trump to capitalize on. To be honest I don't think anyone the Democrats put up (except maybe Biden) would have won - people are fed up with career politicians and the fact the status quo never changes no matter who is in power. Some of Trumps views actually make some sense. Try to work with Putin against the common enemy, others in NATO paying their way, pulling back from TPP, not granting amnesty to illegals, investing in infrastructure and reducing the size of the Government. Will be fascinating to see how this plays out as Republicans think they have it all now but Trump has already shown he is his own man and I think the purists in the Republicans could end up unhappy. This could also work well for the UK as Trump has said more than once that he holds the UK in high regard and Europe less so.
  24. Ouch WSS - doesn't sound good. I always get my bikes from a LBS that is not part of a chain out here (A1 Cycling). They are excellent and they provide a lifetime tuneup service at no charge if you buy a bike from them. That way I get the bike tuned up SPring and Fall (Autumn) and am all set to go. We have some great LBS's here - the Green Lizard is another great one where we can get beer and cake after a ride as well as buy new toys.
  25. Based on your thoughts Winner, ordered the Kikr Snap today. Got a great deal from REI - kit was $600 but got 20% off as a member. Really tough ride today - about 83 miles all in with a couple of buddies. Wind was brutal and really did not feel strong much of the way around. Stunning ride though and really pleased we can still get out this time of year. VfTT - good luck on the recovery and don't rush it! WSS - hows the new bike?
