Amen brother........lets hope he has found his feet. Encouraging signs recently (with a consistent goalscorer we would be much higher in the table) and now he has proven himself by taking the Cups seriously and not being afraid to blood youngsters regularly. Bravo Puel - you have taken some almighty crap recently but he has shown he is up to the job just based on the semi final performances alone. And well done to Les Reed and co for getting him - but now back him in the transfer market.

You really are a clueless t88t. Mediocre - really? You should give up watching Saints as it is clear you are a troll or completely mental.
-
Well glad you 2 are such great talent spotters. Have you ever thought about applying for a role at Saints as you obviously know better than those doing this for a living? Well done both of you.

I swear Heisenberg/Bournemouth/Glasgow is schizophrenic.....over on the UI he posts as a relatively sane human being but here he is like a demented loon practically begging for bites......
-
Jesus H Christ - what bloody game were you watching Charlie Wayman? He looked solid without being under much pressure. And in the same game you said JWP did not play well yet all the pundits, BBC, etc. gave him MotM - and rightly so. Some right miserable t**ts on here - surely you should be happy we won and played pretty well?
-
Spot on VFTT - what a miserable t**t Lard is. Anyone can see we have a decent side but just need to start taking our chances. with more clinical finishing we would have an extra 9-12 points. the trick will now be for JWP to play like that every week.

Against Everton we were the best team but could not finish (we should have been out of sight) We lost to Spurs who are an excellent team Against Burnley we were by far and away the best team but could not finish Against WBA we were the only team trying to win but could not finish So of the 4 we lost we should have gotten something from 3 of them - but our forwards and midfield were the reason we did not because their finishing was abysmal.
-
Batman - you must be really disappointed we did so well today. Creating chances has not really been too much of an issue - finishing has.

The baying mod is held in abeyance - at least until midweek. While Puel has made some strange decisions this season and our football has been, at times, dire today is hopefully how he would like to see us play week in week out. High tempo, attacking and with the full backs heavily involved but also playing through the middle. I'm hoping, maybe optimistically, that perhaps he is getting more time in on the training ground and the players are starting to get how he wants to play. JRod is showing signs of getting back to his best - some of his close control was outstanding. I believe Puel has been let down by the club - we needed reinforcements up front before the the season started. He was not really helped with many of the squad coming back after the Euros and so he did not get a pre-season with a lot of first teamers. Hopefully very little rotation mid-week and maybe we can pull off a stunning upset. If we play to our strengths and can finish then there has to be a chance. More of the same for the rest of the season please Puel!

Yoshida has been much better than Fonte this season. Probably because Fonte did not want to be here but I certainly think Yoshi has been better.
-
Completely wrong - it was focusing on the 'here and now' as you put it that got us into grave financial difficulties which forced us to play youngsters who were not ready. Please don't rewrite history!

Where are all the whinging t**ts now? Not the greatest display but we are starting to play with more drive, pressing and passion. Just hope VVD is OK.....

Absolutely 1000% spot on. I lost a good friend at 36 who leaves a 2 year old daughter at the beginning of the month. That is a tragedy, that is sad day. So many snowflakes bleating over what, at the end of the day, is simply a sport. I reckon the corridors of power at St MArys must be full 24x7 with anonymous posters on a message board claiming to know what is going on behind the scenes, etc.

Dumbasses......they will be paying a healthy fee for Berahino as WBA would be due a development fee in the summer so he wouldn't 'cost nothing'.
-
I agree Verbal. The squad does need an overhaul.....we do need an AMC and now (hopefully Boufal will be played in this position). Likewise I am not convinced Tadic is a good fit for us right now....he has been woeful this season. Add to that him and Redmond couldn't hit a barn door and it is no wonder we only have 19 goals. I would like to see Sims given an extended run in place of Tadic - he has something about him and is not always trying to go in crop circles, a la Fabrice Fernandes.

I wish there was a Like button........

What complete and utter ******. If you had watched the game you would have seen that we played well and created plenty of chances ......but guess that doesn't fit with your agenda. As Duckhunter says, Forster was not good and did not inspire confidence. And he messed up at the free kick.....taking 2 steps behind the wall: if he had stayed in place it was a reasonably straightforward save.
-
Whitey - nothing wrong with the tactics or performance today: bar 1 stupid mistake and a useless attacking force. We created many decent chances: Tadic should definitely have scored at least once, probably twice in the 1st half. Just like against Liverpool we are getting more people in the box now. Unfortunately our crossing is not good and we don't have anyone with presence to take advantage in the box. Pelle would have had a field day in this side. Jrod looked very sharp when he came on - the front 3 before that were terrible (Long, Tadic and Redmond) and this is where our problems lie. Just like at the beginning of the season we are playing well but don't have anyone to put the decent chances away.
-
This is all rather pathetic.......some are so blinded by their dislike for Puel they think 'fire him, get another manager in and all will be fine'. Well guess what - it wouldn't. We have a terrible attacking force (JRod aside who is showing signs of getting back to his best). Tadic has been absolutely awful, Redmond not much better, Long a total waste of space. The number of chances we had today we should have been out of sight.
-
Because you watched the game you wanted to watch. We were not dull or terrible - our finishing is the difference between being higher in the League and where we are now.
-
Agreed but who do we have that can score? We are terrible up front - JRod looks sharp and would have liked him to start today. Redmond and Tadic were woeful and offered nothing. Hope Sims starts in midweek as he offered more than these 2 t**ts combined in his cameo.
-
Unlike many on here I thought Saints played well but looked useless up front, primarily because Redmond and Tadic are so bloody terrible. Jrod looks sharp and we played with more tempo today. The difference being they have a keeper who can make saves, we don't: Forster has been terrible all season and I wish Macarthy was fit because Forster needs replacing. Romeu makes too many stupid mistakes despite being immense for most of the game. Most times he makes a silly mistake the opposition scores! We are completely toothless and shame on the club! They have let Puel, and the fans, down by not going all out to bring in an AMC and striker who can score. With more composure and talent up front we would have been out of sight today. 18 shots and only 3 on target.
-
You are a prize t**T. This is nothing to do with Puel: they have played well but the finishing is awful. This is on the club not strengthening where everyone knows we need strengthening. Until we can start taking chances we are going to struggle.
-
Knew that would happen. We played really well and controlled the game (as we have most of the season) and yet could not score in a brothel. Chance after chance wasted (as ever). Unfortunately Redmond and Tadic are absolutely godawful. Awful mistake by Romeu and Forster just terrible. This is not on Puel any longer - they played really well on the most part today - this is on the club. It is painfully clear we need better attacking options and yet nothing. I feel sorry for Puel - he has been bad;ly let down by the club

Surely if this was all signed and sealed, Lander would have to make a statement to the Chinese stock exchange. As that hasn't happened I think the ITK snippet is probably incorrect.
