  1. It's not the 2 dropped points that hurt, it's the possibility of 3 and a home win being dangled in front of you, and then cruelly snatched away. Again.
  2. Oh. My. God. I knew it was coming but still I'm upset. Kelvin injured too.
  3. How long left to hold on?
  4. Yyyyyyeeeeeesssssssss! :)
  5. Sounds like Lee Holmes is coming off again?
  6. It's hard not to be suspicious when you see Lallana and Surman are 'not fit' to play.... And why is Euell on the bench?
  7. From the OS: Saints: Davis, James, Perry, Cork, Skacel, Gillett, Gobern, Smith, Holmes, Peterson, McGoldrick. Subs: Bialkowski, Lancashire, McLaggon, Euell, Wright-Phillips. I think they mean Paterson Come on Saints!
  8. :smt044 Is this the same bloke that has boasted before he doesn't go to watch the match or support the team, he goes to meet up with mates and get p*ssed? The same bloke who will stop watching and supporting his team for the last 10 minutes of the first half so he can get his half-time pint earlier? The same bloke who so loves his flat lager in a PLASTIC cup? :smt044
  9. Can you ask why we have been paying the wages of several loan players judged by the manager[/rupert ] not good enough to play, while having to loan out 2 proven goalscorers? Who do we have to "thank" for the loan signings of Pulis, Gasmi, Pekhart and Robertson?
  10. You're not a real professor are you? First paragraph is fair comment well put, but the 2nd one is rubbish. I think you'll find that it is more demoralising for players when fans boo the team, rather than when they insult the chairman. I also suspect that Lowe doesn't give a toss about the support of the fans. If that mattered to him then he wouldn't be here now, and he would have resigned a lot earlier last time round, rather than waiting until it was clear that he was about to be humiliated and ousted anyway. HTH.
  11. Blimey, I must have dreamed that play-off semi-final then.
  12. Wooohooo! :smt044 Mick McCarthy got Sunderland promoted as well, and he didn't need £70 million to spend
  13. Have you seen how Sunderland are doing since Keane walked out Oh and Ince didn't do too well at Blackburn either.
  14. Come on Saints!
  15. So the manager makes no difference then? Why bother with one when your sponsor could do the job himself
  16. Well as someone the other week said [quoting from John Cleese in Clockwork], it's not the losing, it's the hope that kills you. Not sure what the point is in almost drawing or winning. You might think it gives us hope we are unlucky or improving, but we have been doing it all season. Maybe losing 3-0 might have done us more good than yet another "nearly" result that dangles the possibility that it will all come right anyday now. I'm normally a 'half-full glass' sort of person, but I seem to have spent a lot of time thinking that we are in with a chance, only to be proved wrong. Lee Holmes is my last hope! PS People saying we were brilliant the 2nd half are wrong. If we were that good, we would have salvaged a point at least It is dishonest to speak of a 2nd half fightback when we still lost!
  17. Woo Hooo! :) Heard it was 3-0 on the car radio - get on here and we have got 2 goals back Lets win this Saints!
  18. Something Lee Holmes was pretty good at. Let's hope he is back soon.
  19. Now THAT is a matter of opinion
  20. I think [and hope ] they'll both still be here come February. The big clubs don't buy players who are not quite the finished article, in January. It's not like they will be brought in to turn around a failing season - they offer potential, not a seasoned pro's battling abilities or morale boost. Premiereship clubs will appreciate letting them play another 5 months first team football here and then swoop in the summer.
  21. we agree then
  22. Spot on. Showed how childish Lowe is IMHO.
  23. Brilliant Ta.
