  1. Come on Saints! Clean sheet and Goals for Saga and McG
  2. Come on Saints! We can win this
  3. :smt044 Another sad apologist. Going down to 10 men has often spurred teams on to produce a better performance, England on several occasions for example. And by the way, after 10 minutes - BEFORE WE WERE DOWN TO 10 MEN - the stats showed that we had completed 75 passes compared to 189 for United. So much for our "pretty" football. Defending the indefensible seems to be a very popular pastime with certain posters.
  4. Still no wiser - who is that? BTW that is one of the worst websites I've ever seen, even taking 'account' of the fact that it is 2 or 3 years old.
  5. What a pompous ass! Why tell people what to think or discuss? It made me laugh and I need one at the moment...
  6. If we were in the same position we are now, then yes! But we probably wouldn't be in this mess.
  7. That sums it up nicely. Good post.
  8. shoulder, and then back of head, definitely. As for that other incident, I watched that again too and the 2 saints defenders and the man u striker just "collided", simple as
  9. Reading and the two games after I seem to remember. I'm afraid the problems run much deeper than you suggest. I agree with Weston's post above - I wanted to give Jan a fair chance, but it is becoming clear that it is not working, and the longer things stay the same, the worse they are getting
  10. You must be a bit thick then mate - he clearly described it as a 2 footed tackle, going in with both feet. Try watching the replays and you will see that was a lie.
  11. Just wanted to highlight a top post made by Rory on match thread : "FAO Kelvin Davis; Over the years, you have received some unjust stick from a lot of fans here but, can I just say, if it wasn't for you this season we would be down already. Your commitment to this club's cause is commendable and it really is a breath of fresh air to see you care for the club. You're not even a Southampton lad but still you pull of save after save and commit your future to the club, even though you are blatantly being coveted by other teams, especially after your performance today. You've been a fantastic servant to the club and, out of every player on the pitch today, you would be the only one I would really be annoyed at seeing go, but I wouldn't blame you. We are shockingly poor and you deserve to at least have one last stint in the Premiership. Also, my younger brother was one of the reasons why he started liking football and supporting the Saints. When you first joined the club, he went down to the stadium with some friends on a schools day or something like that and you were the only player who had a laugh and enjoyed being with the kids. That Christmas, we got him a goalie shirt with Davis on the back and he didn't take it off for months. You thoroughly deserved your MoM award today and I hope, for all our sakes, you stay on for a lot longer. However, I fear, along with all of us, that you will be gone February and that'll be that for this club." Great post about a top man and player.
  12. I am really tired of hearing that phrase. Still, if Manure could beat those other top teams - Adelaide United, Gamba Osaka, Waitakere United, LDU Quito, Pachuca and Al Ahly - then they must be the best in the world eh? :smt044
  13. Fair points well made.
  14. Yes...but I think my blind grandmother could have sussed that out
  15. He made the best chance for us to score in the whole the game. Maybe that's why he started?
  16. I take it from your ill-informed comments that you weren't actually watching the game . manure barely tried and we had only ONE REAL chance all game, when Smith put the ball about 3 metres wide.
  17. God he is one annoying pr*tt - just watched Patterson's tackle replay and called it 2 footed?
  18. Both posts spot on. Down, unfortunately
  19. Yes. Title of thread is spot on.
  20. reading it now. Nice article
  21. Cheers for the link - good read. I have just seen a pre-match build-up interview with Lawrie Mac on Setanta Sports 1, and he says the same thing there.
