So if I put a 'Fully functional Ferrari' for sale and ask that someone puts down a non-refundable deposit down to test drive the car prior to buying. They put down the money and test drive the car and it turns out that the car is actually a Toyota MR2 with a Ferrari shaped chassis plonked on top of it... they are not entitled to their money back?

I would imagine a deposit could be refunded if what you are putting it on turns out to be not as described? ie. put your money where you mouth is!

Assuming I'm understanding things correctly... I'm finding it hard to understand why people can't see £14m for a Football club, a training ground, playing squad (despite how mediocre) and a £32m Stadium (with no mortgage) is not good value?
