  1. Is anyone on there actually not someone from here in disguise? Maybe we should have a hidden code to identify which are from here. Say something like capitalising a word in the first sentence that should not have a capital, e.g. "My mate's a taxi Driver.... "?
  2. I asked that if there is money in the accounts to pay the wages as claimed why did they not pay the taxman with it, but that did not get through.
  3. From @Pearcesport on twitter: Milan Mandaric began evidence today by clarifying point made yesterday. Redknapp's contract was worth £4.2 million over 3 years not 1 year Mandaric told Court again that Rosie47 money was his + when Redknapp returned to Pompey in 2005 he reminded R he needed to pay it back Mandaric is still being questioned by his own defence team. Cross examination will begin later Mandaric says he has no yacht or private jet. "I lead normal life". He says he's put £20 million into Sheffield Wednesday so far Mandaric told jury that when he sold Portsmouth he paid £100,000 into offshore account for Peter Storrie as thank you for finding buyer Mandaric says charges "sad, unfair, insult to me, my family, my friends, + even some of supporters who know what kind of man chairman is" Mandaric "When Harry gets something in his head he doesn't let go sometimes. It drives you crazy" Mandaric says didn't want Redknapp to sign Crouch as he was "big, tall guy. Didn't look like a footballer". Told R that he would be useless Cross examination of Mandaric has now begun
  4. This contradicting what the person from HSBC said in that Mandaric introduced Arry but it was Arry that opened the account. Also surely the prosecution can drive a coach and horses through the "investment" argument as no indication it was nothing more than a bank account and no sign any of the money transferred in was moved elsewhere for a considerable period.
  5. Think the "Could at least keep them going until May" is rather optimistic. 2.5m would clear their tax bill and pay the upcoming tax bill then its all but gone. Where would the money to pay towards the CVA or all their other bill come from?
  6. As this is a computer message board maybe we got the 1K page thing wrong? Roll on landmark page 1024.
  7. But I thought AA said plans were in place to pay the players! You don't think he lied do you?? What ever next?
  8. Thank god the winters over, Decembers far away, lets drink outside a lunchtime on another summers day.
  9. Some people have personal shoppers. Harry is the only person to have his own personal sky sports transfer correspondent.
  10. Could the mod's please find 20 posts earlier in the thread to delete? Ta!
  11. It does appear that arry is going for a reduced punishment because he did not realise he was defrauding the public purse rather than attempting to get off the charge all together?
  12. Anyone can buy shares in his company if they are stupid enough. Sure there a majority of companies have criminals as share holders. Now if he was more than just a shareholder it might be interesting but if not you might as well have headlines like "Meth drinking cancerous immigrant owns shares in Daily Mail"
  13. Unless a dubious Israeli is still there I assume she forgoing...
  14. I appears to me like the whole court case is down to arry acting like a petulant 12 year old. Despite signing a contract to say he would get 5% instead of 10% he was on before he has a whining fit at Milan about how he was due 10% (which it looks like he wasn 't). It was Milan giving in to arry but saving money (fairly minimal in the end compared to the size of arrys general wage packet) by doing it without the knowledge of HMRC that has landed them in court. If arry had said (assume a translation into cockney) 'okay, I signed a new contract where my fee is now 5% so I accept that I missed out on some money on the crouch deal but I am well compensated as is' then he would not be in court. edit Though I don't think the court case has gone into the second payment he is alleged to have accepted which was later but then even less excuse to ask for extra assuming the scenario's are roughly the same
  15. Bloke with the ipad obviously slow as I finished the latest angry birds seasons days ago..
  16. more: Jury has been shown copies of details of Rosie47 account. Court told in 2003 Redknapp faxed David Cusdin instruction to transfer $100,000 That $100,000 was from Rosie47 to First Star International in Florida. R's fax ended with "Many thanks for your cooperation, Harry Redknapp"
  17. From twitter: Here's your first update of the day from Redknapp/Mandaric trial. Jamie Redknapp back from last night's match in Liverpool to be here again Court's been watching video link from Monaco. David Cusdin evidence. He worked at HSBC bank there where Redknapp's Rosie47 account was held David Cusdin told the Court that Redknapp had sole responsibility for Rosie47 account. Redknapp was sole signatory In order to open an account at the bank in Monaco Cusdin said "a client had to be well introduced" by a current client Redknapp's introduction to HSBC in Monaco was made by Milan Mandaric Redknapp has been watching video link from the dock, alongside Mandaric. Redknapp wearing glasses and studying bank documents carefully
  18. Not to mention that amount would, I assume, be taxable.
  19. The MP is right in that pompey has bought enjoyment to many thousands... How did she know about this thread..
  20. I pledge my Pledge. I hate dusting.
  21. I make it 2nd row, 2nd column? 2 to 4 years custody? Don't think it was professionally planned but does appear to have been fraudulent from the outset.
  22. Have you got a reliable source for that info (and reading it on a pompey board does not count as reliable).
  23. If I was HMRC I would wait till after the next tax deadline before withdrawing the winding up petition.
