Why are they revealing that they have relocated Peter Storrie to the south of france?
-
Portsmouth City Football Club, you have pleaded guilty to the charges brought by this court, and it is now my duty to pass sentence. You are an habitually criminal organisation, who accepts administration as an occupational hazard, and presumably accepts insolvency in the same casual manner. We therefore feel constrained to commit you to the maximum term allowed for these offences; you will go to blue square premier south for five years. For those under a certain age based on the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porridge_(TV_series) title sequence.

soon.....

The whole plot of this is getting to be more complicated than the dreams within dreams in Inception.
-
He also appears to have forgotten that chainrai appears to have lent them not an inconsiderable amount of money to keep going since CSI went under. Plus there may be stupid businesses who have not insisted on cash on delivery.

What's that crackling sound?.... Could it be the sound of bank accounts being frozen??
-
Would you get your money back then though?
-
Maybe the unused parachute payments there were due could be used to refund all season ticket holders of the remaining clubs 1/23rd of what they paid?
-
Thing is even if they do get bought should that excuse them a points penalty? they have after all had an unfair advantage for a period of time. Even if they were bought and returned to an even financial footing it would not remove the effect of the period of time where they had an unfair advantage (If only they had actually won more games in that period if would be a more forceful argument!).

I think it goes back to the point that HMRC tendency to issues winding up order is not based what money they will make but as a matter of principle.
-
It could be said that a well run club should have the processes in place to survive relegation (50% salary cuts all round anyone). Think its fairly clear that they are designed not for the well run club but for the profligate clubs who would be most likely to go pop on relegation without the parachute money (e.g. WHU and pompey). Lots of relegated clubs going pop would not show the PL in a good light.. Though it would make the relegation fight something closer to a deathmatch.
-
IF you believe AA (and note I used a big IF) then the WUP should be published any day know (still unclear why someone at HMRC said it would be today but it did not appear) and the court hearing will be late feb.
-
If the FL point out to the PL that the fact pompey got this far is partially their fault and who knows what might come out if pompey go to the wall then the PL would probably did deep to help.
-
I bet they loaded the wrong tape or something.
-
I think the problem is no one really knows what happened to all Chinnies various debts and charges when the club was sold to CSI.
-
Am I right in saying that HMRC can, in certain circumstances, double what is due as a fine for non payment? If so that could mean finding over 3 million to clear that.
-
Right so I think I understand?! Harry was probably paid the 5% due under his new contract via normal routes and, one assumed, got taxed on it but he decided he wanted the extra 5% even though he must have agreed to the contract change. Mandaric rather than upset his prize manager obviously decided he would pay him the extra 5%. Does that sound right?

It's a pity twitchies dog was not call "Bung"

James Pearce Short break. Prosecution have been quoting from long series of letters between various people about origin of Redknapp's Monaco account
-
Judge decided they journo's have to leave court to tweet. Too much tapping I expect!
-
That was what I was thinking. My guess would be that other clubs might prefer to avoid the disruption of pompey going out of business (especially those that had got points off them) but that any help would have to come at a price. I would have thought that to avoid legal challenges at the end of the season they would have to be given a points penalty that just about guaranteed relegation. "Yes you can have your next payment early to keep you in business but it will cost you 30 points"
-
Sauce? or should I reputable source?
-
Another day of fun ahead then. Will the winding up order be advertised today? Will pompey sell any players before it is advertised? Not to mention all the fun of the fair at court. Interesting that in the interview with lumpitt that he mentioned the starting of an afc pompey as an option. First time I think that someone associated with the club has stated this?

If arry claims that money was for something else and not his 5% on the transfer I would guess the next stage for the prosecution would be to request arry provide documentary proof of the tax paid on the real 5% payment.

The only "C" that they will be needing at Fratton soon will be "C4".
