  1. It may have been discussed before but that was before this authoritative report that has categorically confirmed global warming even after taking into account all the petty points begin made by climate change deniers.
  2. I think we can put you firmly down as a denier rather than a sceptic as you obviously do not trust any scientific research preferring to rely on you own opinion rather than on any facts. Your comment about every planet warming up unfortunately shows what a lack of knowledge you appear to have on the subject.
  3. Basically yes. Also here: http://www.ebuyer.com/132456-tenda-5-port-10-100-switch-great-price-s105 where it gets a good rating. Plus got one on my network and it appears to work fine.
  4. Should be. For extra speed best to get a switch than a hub (switches can identify which cable to send data through where as hubs resends data down all connections, I think!).
  5. Question is how long is your probation period? One option is obviously to keep them happy during the probation period and then return to your current hours once past probation as they would lose, one assumes, any unfair dismissal case if they then sacked you for not working the expected hours given you are working more than what is contractually agreed. Comes down to how much you want to put up with them getting 'free' work from you against what chance you have of getting a better job elsewhere.
  6. On the topic of the 5 points lead good to see Coventry get a late equaliser against Leeds as now even if you added 3 points for Leeds game in hand they would also be on 21.
  7. Stable: A place often deep in horse poo. That bit sounds about right to me.
  8. I suspect in the next few days we will see if the phrase "Better the Devil You Know" is true or not. Tricky which would be more surprising, a sensible choice for their new manager or not.
  9. We all can see that. What we don't know is why Notts Forest appear unable to.
  10. Personally I think these Russians really know there stuff about football and that one or both should step up to the mark and take on the manager role.

    Katia Volcano

Sounds like more Icelandic sourced chaos could be about to start http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/oct/13/icelands-katla-volcano-eruption-imminent On the bad side its likely to be bigger and worse than Eyjafjallajökull On the good side its a hell of a lot easier to pronounce.
  12. http://www.portsmouth.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=258731 Nothing like standing firm and trying to keep your manager, nothing at all.
  13. I don't know... I can imagine the interview ~~~ wibbly lines fade ~~~ So Mr Cotterill we need a manager who has an endless number of excuses for the teams failure? I'm your man, or I would be if this managing had not tired me out so much.
  14. .. random stuff about libre office but as they are the same now removed to save confusion...
  15. Pardon?! Can I refer you to the section of copy from the post you are replying to: To help you with your obviously failing eyesight I have highlighted the word you are looking for!
  16. Ah Diarra where have I heard than name recently, Ah I remember Possibly a bit of an extra tax bill coming...? Oh wait... its gets better.. apparently the investigation is not only over tax fraud but ... our old favourite... "Money Laundering"

  19. no f***ing idea!
  20. I assume you are happy though with the numbers of UKIP members of the European parliament despite the fact that they never would have got as many as they do if it was not for the proportional representation system that is used in the European elections?
  21. And there are others who have tried both and prefer android. Its a matter of personal taste plus people who may have a slight preference for iOS need to take into account the significant price differential, plus other advantages such as adding extra memory at 10 pound for 16GB rather than having to pay 100 pounds extra up front for the extra 16gb in an iPhone.
  22. He was not the great designer but, to his credit, he did KNOW a good design when he saw one. The design for the iMac had been kicking round apple for years before he got back in charge. If he did have a touch of genius it was that he could spot a good design and drive people to improve it but by himself, from scratch, his designs have not been great, e.g. the NeXT computer which was a complete commercial failure. Possibly his greatest gift to the world was that he did spot the advantages of the GUI and ripped it off from Xerox when the engineers there that developed it just thought it was cool.
  23. Its sad he as died but personally I don't buy the genius line. He was very driven, very persuasive and very smart, especially when it came to deals that benefited himself, but he made a hatful for bad decisions in his businesses and was incredibly lucky. For example he only bought pixar for their long forgotten hardware that was a commercial failure, only visited the animation people about once a year and even tried several times to sell them off before Toy Story came out and Toy Story itself came very close to never being made. He also come across a not being a very nice person at times. It always seams odd to me that he is somehow considered a hero against Bill Gates villain when it appears jobs was much more of a mercenary and how little good he has done with his fortune compared to Gates.
  24. I do like how the football league video bit to the right of that page automatically starts and shows our 4-0 win highlights. Best still with the international break it will probably stay that way for a while.
  25. So you mean one based on the FPTP campaign in the recent referendum..
