  1. I am quite prepared to judge Cameron and Osbourne by appearance. They both look like prats.
  2. I believe they reappear in the upcoming film "The Life of Gideon" where an economically hopeless man is mistaken by a political party for a financial messiah which leads to typical comic disasters.
  3. Splitters!
  4. According to wikipedia the Liberal elite in the UK consists mainly of Gordon Brown and Sasha Baron-Cohen?!? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberal_elite
  5. Which one of these is the odd one out? The Liberal Elite Father Christmas The Tooth Fairy The answer is the liberal elite. The others don't exist but some children still believe in them where as the Liberal Elite is the figment of the imagination of some 'adults'.
  6. May reminds me of Rebekah Brooks at NI. Happy to accept the resignations of those under her but when she is found to be equally to blame tries as hard as possible to stay on rather than do the right thing. Unfortunately unlike Brooks May is not going to be given 1.7 million for leaving.

That's due to the locals excessive drinking of Irn Bru
  8. I must commend Cotterill on his attempts to help pompey's financial cause. Not only will pompey probably end up making money on the change in manager and paying the new manager less but also he is apparently going to take one of their high earners off their books and give them money for the privilege. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/nov/09/football-transfer-rumours-didier-drogba?INTCMP=SRCH

They have a few challenges for pedestrians as well
  10. Probably sail off soon after as there are a number of legal problems that are going to descend on him once he stops being in charge.

I was told when I first went to see them that if they won at home they play Cliff Richard singing Congratulations over the PA. Took about 8 matches before I was able to confirm it!

    Glasgow

Spent 4 years there doing my PhD and still have the partick thistle (best non-partisan team in Glasgow) scarf to prove it. Like any city it has it good area's and it bad area's. As long as you play nice with the local's its a good place, almost miss being called 'big man'* by inebriated scotsmen. (* for height obviously!!)
  13. I agree the chance of this information being used against you is minimal as the random other person whose details you have been swapped with would have to be the sort of person who would then decide to start a criminal activity using them and without such details as credit card numbers or bank account numbers there is no obvious way that they could get at your money.
  14. Indeed. I guess you could try and get them to search their database for your details (i.e. those that should be in the fields where someone else's are) and to remove them. I guess as far as the law goes if it was a one off corruption issue they could probably get away with it. If however the corruption is more wholesale and they had not corrected it then they would be in trouble I guess. Have you googled to try and see if anyone else has reported the same problem for the same firm?
  15. Is your email address based on your first name? If it was not for the mobile number a scenario might be someone with a similar email address setting up an account and then entering their email address incorrectly. However with the mobile number its a bit odd. Question is if you did not set up the account why do they have an old mobile number for you, where did they get it from? Do you know if the highstreet shop may have bought up another retailer where you had registered?
  16. or is it... Some bits are but other things they sell you if you make them up properly you would have to spend many multiple times the cost to get something prebuilt to even the same quality. Got several set of Ikea shelving units and they are all sturdy, have lasted several years and look like they will continue to be fine for the foreseeable future.
  17. House is not modern but we have insulated it as much as we sensibly can short of sticking stuff on the outside. Hopefully it will result in some savings but as its all part of the replacement efficient boiler setup in place of an old back boiler it will be impossible to tell what effect it is having. Even if it only saves a few percent it will pay back eventually. At the moment the main thing saving us money is the weather as have not had to put on the central heating yet and the forecast for the next week still looks fairly mild.
  18. If not I am sure it will happen soon...
  19. Having had our boiler recently replaced we went the whole hog and got one of these weather compensating controllers: http://www.vaillant.co.uk/homeowners/heating-solutions/controls-1/produkt_vaillant/vrc-430f.html installed. The idea being that when its warmer outside rather than run on high and go on and off the boiler realised it does not need so much and runs at a lower settings. Supposed to save about 10% on bills but as have not had the central heating on yet since it was installed only time will tell.
  20. I wonder how much compensation they got from Forest? Sounds to me that they are trying to be up on the whole deal? I guess they have finally seen the plumbers estimate for the new loos.
  21. plus I believe I heard in the commentary of their europa match say that they are likely to have to sell some players in the January window. So the longer they stay in europe the better as then most of the fixtures they need to catch up on will be played after the transfer window.
  22. Another nugget of probably highly predictable information from the BBC. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/15504533.stm
  23. Would not be surprised if Cotterill gets it next month for the turn around at Notts Forest.

    3 network

If you go sim only with 3 (or any other phone deal to be honest) worth signing up for quidco first. For the 12 month SIM 300 £10 pound a month contract with 3 you get £54.55 back.
  25. Not to mention having the initials so they can use the training kit.
