We're going to end up with Andre Ayew aren't we?
-
You are right about lack of good strikers. Really, only City have a great one. Having said that I wouldn't mind a Mitrovich or a Toney equivalent.
-
Ah I get it now. Can't blame the board or Jones for this. "Stuff" has got in the way

Always good to win but performances a good indicator of where we are as a team. And that was a grim indication

last 20 mins is a real shocker...being played off the pitch
-
That's as may be. But we're crying out for a goalscorer so why not buy one? Adams and Armstrong get a goal every 5 or 6 games, if that. They convert probably 5% of the chances they get. Makes no sense to me at all

I'm probably bitter, but i don't feel sorry for the at all. brings back memories of when we used to get raped by the likes of arse-anal, Brighton can always bring this guy back when he is way past his best and looking for a final pay check

Good times and good days those

In the same way i don't celebrate a goal anymore because var will inevitably rule it out, I don't celebrate a rumoured transfer because bompy or west ham will step in...or we will fuck it up ourselves...or it will simply be underwhelming...or it will be another defender etc etc

yeah - it's the same closeness as Che is to scoring when one on one with the keeper 🙂 -

it's just complete BS isn't it? And worryingly he seems to actually believe it. Nathan - Newcastle are hard to beat. We most definitely are not. You can't fix a problem until you recognise you have the problem. FFS -
Agreed. In systems theory, one of the basic principles is that a system is only as strong as its weakest part..or something like that However, do I remember correctly that when he arrived, Jonesy was boasting how he would make adams into a top class striker?

to the tune of "Nathan jones you've been gone too long" ... Nathan Jones you've been here too long

I would use the word stupid rather than risky. So obvious we needed a striker in the summer. We didn't get one in. We are now bottom of the league. Ah well, we can at least rectify this in the Jan window. I stupidly was expecting the ducks to be lined up and us pulling the trigger on a striker the first few days of the window. We could have had Ings for a couple of games already for example. Just don't get it. I'm not brains of Britain and I know I have simplified the situation, but sometimes the simplest solution is the best solution?

"In a way he has already been there with his head" ...what is it with Croatians and their heads being at a different club from the rest of their bodies?

I remember me and others getting shouted down in the summer for daring to suggest we should be buying more experienced players. All I heard was "if they're old enough they're good enough" "What is experience anyway?", "We have loads of experience and they are shite" etc Well, if there's ever a case of needing experience it is Bazunu. He is not ready for 1st place in a prem team and neither are most of the other youngsters we bought -
I think I know the answer, but just wondering if you class yourself as a "knob on here" and if not why not 🙂
