You were in bed with him at the time?

Honestly, if I came over as defensive, that's not the case. Just fed up reading your ITK ramblings. I'll put you on ignore so we can both have a happy day.

It's life. Get over it. Whenever I'm faced with decisions, there's almost always a difficult choice to make. More than one option. The important thing is to make the decision and then move on. Not to sit there moaning that there was another way and that you've potentially lost out by not choosing it.

Mate I'm not on a high horse. It's you. Finding it hard to make any sense out of this rambling. It's very much a post in the stylee of Wacko Jacko.

Do you really think that a group with billions would allow themselves to lose out on an opportunity because somebody else put in a "slightly higher" bid than them? If that's the case, then it would suggest that they weren't that fussed and we'd be better off with Pinnacle.

You really should wait until you have proper facts before you go criticising again. How do you know what was being offered by the "10 billion investor"? Were you present during the negotiations?

I don't doubt your sincerity, but for all you say about only being interested in having a football team to support next year, your ego is coming over loud and clear too.

Saints One Fan's Tale (Sorry Long)
Golac's Cunning Stunts replied to TijuanaTim's topic in The Saints
Tim How nice it is to read something as heartfelt and honest as this compared to the usual drivel served up by the many smart arses on here. I started watching Saints a few years later than you, but not that much. First match was home vs Cardiff in the season prior to promotion. From that one match I was hooked even though I was scared to death of all the grown up blokes who swore and smoked roll ups. For many years later whenever I smelt tobacco smoke, I associated it with watching Saints on the terraces. So, little did I know, this was to be the golden era. So many great players, so many triumphs against so called bigger teams. I used to go with my Dad and Uncle who are both long gone now. But I shed a tear for both of them when we got to the cup final again. I think moments like that are what seperates true fans of clubs from the plastic Mancs and Scousers. A football club handed down through the generations. Anyway, I left Southampton in 1984 and never went back there to live. I still follow them with a passion and still get to see them a fair bit. Alas, my son has broken the line, but in recent times, perhaps I can't blame him for that. I too lost a very dear relative to a devasting illness only a few months ago. A young lady cut down in her prime. It does serve some perspective on some of the hystrionics served up on here. My take on it is that we only have one life and we should try to be as happy as we can be. I count watching and following Saints through good and bad as an intrinsic part of my happiness for, oh so many reasons. Today's news has brightened my day. Here's hoping for another day, sun shining, 11 men running out of the tunnel in red and white... -
Tabor is a dollar billionaire I believe. I would very much welcome him! Was it DaintyDave going on about a SA connection earlier today? Gold and Tans or something? Not quite sure if that tallys.

Only by one or two ITKs. Most fans will obviously be more than grateful and won't need your advice on such matters.

From reading that article, it sounds like somebody called him up on his phone. Yes, those things are quite fast.

When all this is over, for good or bad, I'm gonna write a book about it. You couldn't make it up. Bazza the Briefcase, Paul Allen, Jackson, St David, Kelso Kev(in) Keegan, Tommac, the tranny named after the Beach Boys song (was that Tommac?), tracking mysterious yachts across the ocean, sheiks who end up being women, Rupert the Duck Hunter and on and on. I swear nobody would believe it. It's like the plot of the Da Vinci Code. I really do hope the book will have a happy ending though.

That's how the admin process works. Nobody is going to say "I'll sort out your mess but don't worry if you can't pay anything at the end". Not a very good model for running a business is it? The club's chairman and directors should have thought about all this long before we reached the point of no return.

Come on then Internet warrior. Tell us all exactly what we should be doing to resolve the situation we are in? You obviously know more than all of us, including Mark Fry...

Jumping around on here being all melodramitic isn't going to make one squat of difference. Write as many posts as you like, but it won't change anything. All we can do is wait.

I thought Dyer was sold on the cheap yesterday for the very purpose of keeping us afloat for at least another month?

Hi I am just sick of the people who wanna knock others on here. I went to club yesterday (i do a lot business with the club ) and saw my best contact face to face. He confirmed the following which has been confirmed by two other sources before i even told anyone on here. 1) the deal will be done in 4-5 days 2) it is paul allen still 3) the ruski story was fed to the echo by the pr guys to push the price and his hand. 4) the club are buying there on shares on the fse at the mo to push thro 51% with roops shares from the board to give him immediate total control. happy days. -

Been browsing a few footie forums today. Came across this on a Sheff Wed forum. They have some very familiar views on Jackson. http://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=105158 -
Don't believe you. Next you'll be telling me that the beautiful blonde I chat to on MSN Messenger is really Dave the milkman from Surrey.

Right so because TNT does it, that makes it alright for Nick to do it too. There are more than just posts to allow one to form an opinion of Jackson. There's his pathetic attempts to take over Bournemouth and all the BS he came out with during that escapade. There's enough evidence in Jackson's own posts on here to suggest he may not be the full ticket. So no, I don't think TNT would have based his opinion purely on what is written here. I'm happy to wait and see what happens. Def no need for abuse from either side though. -

I really wish you would stop accusing people of being "skates" or "plants" just because they joined recently and have a differing opinion to you. Why can't you just debate the argument with well thought out posts? -
I think he has done an excellent job of discrediting himself. However, I agree we should wait to see the details of the bid before jumping on any bandwagon. I have a horrible feeling that it will all fall through. We will wait and see.

It has probably been covered extensively on here, but can you point me to a link which provides some info on Green? Just interested as to who he is.
