  1. This is all very well, but if the player wants to go / puts in a transfer request, then it becomes very difficult to keep the player. The only reason we kept MLT was because he wanted to stay. If we had been playing in Div 2 in those days, then even he might have wanted to ply his trade at a higher level. At some stage it will come down to whether or not we get promotion. If we do, Adam will probably stay unless one of the big 5 come knocking.
  2. It's that age old argument - what makes a "big" club? Is it amount of honours won, size of club, size of crowds, amount of revenue / turnover, etc etc. Everton have won honours, but all of them well in the past, and they don't look like they are anywhere near breaking into the top 4 or 5. If Lallana has ambitions to be a top, top player, then he would be looking for champo league footie, and that means manure, chelsk, manc, @rse, potentially liverpool & spuds. Everton are mid table prem side and if they're not careful, they could turn into a lower prem side. Ask Rooney why he left them at the tender age of 17/18. As for Adam, at some stage he will want prem footy. Here's hoping it will be with us in the very near future.
  3. I didn't realise that Leics have already offered him as bait for Maynard to Brizzle back in July http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/Leicester-City-use-Martyn-Waghorn-lure-striker/story-13017734-detail/story.html Lots of comments on that article. Typical footie fans etc. This one stood out though: “Waghorn was nothing more than a panic purchase made by a manager fearing the safety of his seat. He may well try hard but that doesn't amount to a decent footballer I'm afraid. True, this isn't Waghorn's fault, but neither is it Sven's. To offload him for 1.5m whilst paving the way for Maynard to join would be an excellent piece of business by the club. Contrary to what some Leicester 'fans' think, football is not all about running around for 90 minutes like a headless chicken with no end product. Maynard has an average of 1 in 2 during his time in the championship - Waghorn will never produce this. We must make huge strides forward if we are to get out of this league, especially as we are not the only ones snapping up players to improve their chances. Ipswich, Cardiff, Birmingham and a host of other clubs will all prove stiff competition and having Waghorn warming our bench for 88 minutes and then coming on and running around like his backside is on fire for 2 minutes whilst never reaching the opposition penalty area is not going to aid our promotion bid. 20 goals from Maynard will."
  4. I heard that Reading are seriously thinking about him. They are welcome to him.
  5. I think it was around £2m rising to £3m with appearances etc. But you're right - that is a lot of money. I think LCFC want to recoup their £2m on him though - perhaps Hull might come in and reunite him with Pearson again.
  6. Hi. I was working for a while in Leicester at the back end of 2010 and I went to a few of their home games in which he featured. He was extremely underwhelming and the crowd were frustrated with him. No first touch at all. Not overly pacey. OK in the air. Does he have a trick? Not sure what you mean, but didn't appear to have any on the football pitch that's for sure. I understand that he was **** hot for them the season before and fired them to the play offs. He missed the spot kick in the play off semi vs Cardiff that year. Perhaps Adkins can do a job with him, I don't know. The reason I say I am underwhelmed is in the context of expecting a top, proven, pacy striker at this level. Waghorn is certainly not that.
  7. So are a lot of other cr@p players. Waghorn would be underwhelming and I don't see how he is in any way better than what we already have.
  8. All of these were bluffs to get our rivals to spend all of their money on second rate players. We will now proceed to buy what were our actual targets all along.
  9. Hearing rumours that Dickson may part of the Baldock deal. Anyone else heard this? This is Dickson's last entry on twitter: "Appreciate the support guys!! We will have to see what happens #crazygame"
  10. @Fourth_Official Fourth Official "Right, I'm off, there will be a striker merry go round in the Championship, hopefully it kick starts tomorrow." Let's see what happens - it is Friday tomorrow after all. Maynard to Leics? Baldock to Saints? Waghorn to ...? J Rod to ...? Barnard to Franchise? Who knows?
  11. Is her bush hungry then?
  12. I think there are quite a few feral yobs contributing to this millwall forum. http://www.millwall.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=86813&posts=48

  14. Jay Jay, Jay Jay Rodriguez runs down the wing for me. To the tune of "Heartbeat" Just like this sung for Maxi Rodriguez
  15. cheryl cole's a slapper, she's got a hairy box, and when she's ****ging ashley, she thinks of danny fox
  16. Yes it could be. Have to hold my hand up though - I should have read the thread all the way through as it appears that Mr Le God was already on to this way before I was!
  17. After Jay Rod scored 4 goals the other night, he got the ball autographed. Why did a team mate write "bye bye Jayrod" on it? Is that the signature of Danny Fox? Or is it somebody in the know that he is offski? Fox says he didn't know of Saints interest until the day after this pic was taken I believe?
  18. Yeas I read that. They also mentioned that he tweeted the same thing about Chris Eagles and another player the day before they were both sold!
  19. Yeah I am really disappointed we ended up with NC when we could have had Barry the Briefcase instead.
  20. Must admit I like the look of Jay Rod. Spent a few mins reading the Burnley forum - they rate him extremely highly indeed. Fingers crossed.
  21. I know Dot the Arsenal tealady well. She says about £32M plus add ons.
  22. I know it's the school holidays, but even so, isn't it past your bed time?
  23. Not if it's one of the "big boys" who come knocking.
  24. Looks like De Ridder was the replacement very cleverly purchased before selling OC. I saw 14 good reasons on the pitch against Leeds not to be too upset by this. We will never keep people like him and it is therefore best policy to trade him for as much money as possible and use that money wisely to bring in good players who want to play for the club a la Ricky. Also use some of the money to grow some more prime cuts of meat for selling to clubs like Arse in the future.
  25. Actually it is a problem between keyboard and seat
