  1. Sorry Mr Glitter but I thought you were banned from posting on here?
  2. Blokes that play tennis are ****s. Women who play tennis like ****s. 75 years of hurt......Never stoppped me dreaming yada yada yada
  3. Perhaps they could even give Rosie a try out in goal
  4. Leaving the wind-up aside for a minute, I just looked Nadal's record up on Wiki: Nadal has won eleven Grand Slam singles titles, including a record seven French Open titles, the 2008 Olympic gold medal in singles, a record 21 ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournaments, and was also part of the Spain Davis Cup team that won the finals in 2004,2008, 2009 and 2011. He completed the Career Grand Slam by winning the 2010 US Open, being the seventh player in history, and the youngest in the Open Era, to achieve it That's some record eh? I don't follow tennis, but it looks like Spain are dominating the Davis cup just like they dominate football. Can we have some success like that please?
  5. Tell me how many Grand slams the Sweat has won and how many Nadal has won, then tell me who the loser is. The Sweat didn't even come close to Federer today and never will.
  6. It's on ****s corner http://www.****scorner.com/****_view.php?****_id=6514 I thought it was a Paraguay shirt in the World cup though
  7. This would be true. There's no way the sweat would have beaten Nadal.
  8. I support whoever Murray plays against, so all good as far as I can see
  9. Really glad about this. Would never have lived it down if a sweaty had won Wimbledon :-)
  10. The two most important days of your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why - Mark Twain We all get too caught up in the day to day living of our lives, that we can't see the forest for the trees sometimes.
  11. This was just released on a Dutch site: (Google translation) Alexander Büttner'm not sure if the exhibition game on Saturday with the Batavians (6-0) will be the last for him in the shirt of Vitesse. The Arnhem club recently reached an agreement with Southampton about a transfer of the winger, but there is no question of a personal contract with the club in the English Premier League. "At the moment this is not my last game for Vitesse. The clubs are out, only I did not. My agent loves to deal with that, and until then I'm still just in Arnhem," said the winger on the official website of the Arnhem club. Büttner missed the game against the amateur a penalty. The defender played 45 minutes after the break and was replaced by Anderson I guess this means that he hasn't yet agreed personal terms?
  12. Interview with him is up on the OS. He will obviously miss a chunk of pre-season training. Just hope he doesn't get injured in one of these matches. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2834974,00.html
  13. Or perhaps more appropriate - "Well, whenever I'm confused, I just check my underwear. It holds the answer to all the important questions."
  14. What an utter utter travesty that England never built a team around him. Nice one TDD. BTW, I had you down as at least 50, maybe 60 :-). Funny how you build a picture of somebody based on their posts etc.
  15. Looks excellent. I liked this quote: The England adults' futsal team was formed in 2003. They have never qualified for the Uefa Futsal Championship or the Fifa World Futsal Cup and are ranked 90th in the world – one place behind Tahiti. Spain are in 1st.
  16. I guess £90k a week is hard to kiss goodbye to :-) The Sunderland Echo is reporting that Brighton would be contributing 10k with City making up the (enormous) difference http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport/sunderland-afc/safc-news/ex-sunderland-loanee-bridge-set-to-join-brighton-from-man-city-1-4714070
  17. According to their local paper http://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/9802557.Albion_in_for_Bridge/? Down to Poyet to persuade him to drop to the Championship. Can't see that happening personally. Would you like to see him back at SMS?
  18. Johnson is on Liverpool's radar according to a lot of the press. £14m the figure being mentioned
  19. Errrrr no I'm not.
  20. I think it can be a useful tool. Take for example this clever chap who tweeted: @crstig Just sent a message to every player linked with the club worded thus "Y U No Sign for #saintsfcyet?" Now are you telling me that any potential new player isn't going to read that and immediately sign?
  21. Have to agree with you on that one as England are somehow ranked 4? Plainly ridiculous as we aren't even close to being 4th in Europe.
  22. All the best Whitey. A pal of mine had this op a year ago. He now gets around like a bloke 20 years younger. Just think of all those pies you'll be able to eat at SMS when you get back! Take care.
  23. No I don't mean that. I don't dispute they can score goals in the Championship. The jury is out if they can do the same in the Prem, although I sure hope they will. What I meant was that Lee's qualities are not the same as just a goalscorer. He has pace and technique and is the perfect foil for an out and out goalscorer. We need somebody with those attributes and I was wondering what we would do if he is going to be out for the first few months of the season. as I don't think playing Rickie, Sharp and/or JRod together is going to do it (or as somebody mentioned earlier... Barnard)
  24. Go on then, argue that one for me.
  25. Actually, no it doesn't in the slightest, but you carry on adding value mate.
