To be fair, he has his own charitable foundation that funds health and education in Africa. He was also instrumental in bringing the 5 year civil war in Ivory Coast to an end. A really interesting character.

Not sure if you are being deliberately obtuse or you genuinely believe this. The point is that if it was sung to you, it wouldn't have a racist connotation. In the context of what happened between Ferdinand and JT and given that the song originated amongst Chelsea fans, a lot of people have interpreted it as racist. Therefore if you choose to sing it at Ferdinand, you now do so with the knowledge that it has a racist interpretation and your argument that it isn't racist is much weakened.
