Agree. This is what I thought anyway. One of the worst prem games I have seen for a while. W Spam poor but qpr ****e. Infact their play reminded me very much of ours during relegation from the prem last time. TBH, I think I'd rather see us relegated than have to watch the boring dross W Spam serve up. Just my opinion though.

Queue lots of abuse but John Terry please. Class above most central defenders out there. -
Stop Leaking Goals to move up the Premier League
Golac's Cunning Stunts replied to PinkScarf's topic in The Saints
Yep, ultimately it is his fault. The buck stops with him. Unfair... maybe. But that's how it works. -
Expected some thumpings away from home as we are so lightweight. Was quite pleased to get away with a 3-1 at Goodison in the end. Wasn't expecting us to be so promising offensively and this gives me hope we can beat some of the teams in our "escape relegation" mini league which is all that counts this season really

Although I said earlier I would never forget what he did, I actually have At least the finer details escape me. Seem to remember 2 players getting sent off (was it Charlie George and Stevie Williams?) and loads of others getting booked. Mr Bailey was attributed with all the blame for said happenings.

A scholar and a gentleman! RIP John another one of the old school gone.

Hey chocco Boxo don't put in for your English GCSE any time soon. That arguably wins the prize for most poorly worded thread title ever and there have been some bad ones! Anyway, would have to go with the Everton, Derby and Brighton suggestions. All bastards who will never be forgiven.Always hate losing to Blackburn too. This is 1. Because they are a very dislikeable small northern ****ehole and 2. Because I will never forget what that tosser John Bailey did to us. He got a wickedly bad reception every time he played at the Dell for years after I seem to remember.

Whose looking forward to MOTD?
Golac's Cunning Stunts replied to Glasgow_Saint's topic in The Saints
Agreed. I'll probably be ridiculed for this though, but I actually don't mind AH. Lawro on the other hand appears to offer no added value whatsoever. Saggy just says what he always says. They this, they that etc just like he used to say when he was our manager :-) -

What they thought (Opposition Fan Views thread)
Golac's Cunning Stunts replied to gaz's topic in The Saints
I dunno. It's not all Villa fans is it? As they say, every club has its numpties. These things are magnified as its mainly the numpties who write ill informed crap on club message boards. I was in the boozer with some mates and a bunch of Villa fans came in. They had nothing but good things to say about us. -
ESPN Team of the week
Golac's Cunning Stunts replied to Golac's Cunning Stunts's topic in The Saints
I don't reckon it was proof read at all -
Rickie, Punch, Nate and Nige all make the grade http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story/_/id/1168472/premier-league-team-of-the-week:-september-23,-2012?cc=5739 Not sure about some of the journalism on there though

Agreed. Best to enjoy the moment while it lasts I think. So nice to sit here on a Sunday evening with a win under our belt and even Lawro was waxing lyrical about our Rickie on MOTD. We have come a long way in a short space of time and it's nice to enjoy that and to see some of our players (Punch included) starting to enjoy the best times of their careers :-)

Only pulling your leg. I guess different people do different things. I don't mind people not singing but I do hate it when they ***** and moan and get on player's backs. It was a nerve racking day yesterday until the goals started going in and I guess people react differently - some will sing and shout, others will go quiet and chew their nails. I do see your point though.
-
Which would be unfair. He has played with commitment, scored goals and made a few assists. Can't ask for more than that really. I think it's refreshing to see a guy try to change his ways for the better so good on him for that.
-
So do you think posting on here during the game is going to get everyone singing? Like everybody is at SMS continually refreshing SWF. "Oh look Barry reckons we should all be singing... let's get to it" Or are you just trying to be some sort of Uber Fan?

Being paid to win by rivals is okay - so says Mr Laudrup
Golac's Cunning Stunts replied to manina-pub's topic in The Saints
Not sure that it is a corruption of competition. If ManU want to stump up £100k to Saints to incentivise them to beat Chelsea, Chelsea would probably do the same when we play Man U. Sounds great and quite fun actually. There could always be some regulations put in place too, such as every team is allowed an incentivisation budget of £1m to spend getting other teams to win in order to gain the highest league position they can -

How about if the richer clubs had to pay the slacking team with 1 of their players? That would be pretty cool -

Now you are going beyond the realms of possibility :-) unless you count a couple of old nags and a tinker's caravan as a payment :-) -

It wouldn't "ensure" anything as Swansea would still have to win. But it would make it more fun for me watching on Sky as I now know that Swansea will be trying hard :-). And even better if the other team vying for 10th place bunged a load of money to Swansea's opponents to get them to win -

I can actually see some merit in this though. Kind of like having the play offs keeps things more interesting for more teams longer into the season. -

Hitler gassing millions of Jews was abhorrent. This is merely "not really in the spirit of fair play"
