And how exactly do you expect him to "deliver for us as a striker"? And what striker do you think we can buy that would deliver? The man can't carry the whole team on his shoulders. Rickie would be a welcome addition to any side outside of the top 6 or 7 teams. Have you engaged your brain before writing this? Have you not thought that we are one-dimensional sometimes because most of our other players are average at best in the Prem, and Rickie gives those average players a way out?

If the club have every intention of letting him go, surely they wouldn't be picking him regularly in the first team. Far better to be giving a spot to a player that has a future here. Agree with you, but then what will the Sky subscribers have to do on a Wednesday night if Man U or whoever are knocked out of the competition come December time? The Champs league is where the money and power lies these days and nobody is going to wrest that power away from the organisations and clubs who currently benefit from it.

On the subject of Bale, I think he seriously needs to consider moving on. He's too good for Spurs. Are the rumours Barca are interested true? Can see Fergie being interested - Man U are crying out for a player like him.

As we weren't a prem side at the time, of course it was right. However, had we been a prem side, all 3 could arguably have done with a few seasons playing for us before moving on. Can't help but feel that Theo in particular is not fulfilling his promise. Shaw is surely better off learning his trade with us than going to a top 5 club and sitting on the bench?
