1. Hasn't played in any of their last 8 games so not sure we will see him tonight. There was a time during the dark days of Championship relegation when he was pretty much the only light in a very dark time. Much respect for him.
2. Rosie is preparing the brown envelopes as I write this
3. Not really sure what you are talking about, but just love the sweeping generalisation at the end. Most people in this country are hardworking, decent people.
4. Just did a quick butchers of the forums of the teams in action tonight. Have to say the Mackem forum is very entertaining. Came across this thread on Saints v Newcastle. Extremely entertaining and some nice comments in there about us too http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=744287 Particularly enjoyed this gem

Southampton have got good attacking players and are good to watch, but at the back they are woeful especially that dopey Japanese player forgot his name.

This, but they'd probably end up beating us as we'd just sit back and barely attack.
5. Might have to bring Jos back in for Holt
6. I'd say he is a good manager but just didn't give a **** when he managed us. Well within his capability to turn it round at QPR. Also well within his capability to **** them over too.
7. Don't give a toss about him, but I do care about the question as to whether he can save them. Will they get the new manager bounce? Or hopefully, it will be a disaster with Harry moving to distance himself from the sinking ship by Jan/Feb :-)
8. Spot on
9. Yes. Add in Bale and we would be at least mid table :-)
10. Maybe he will in the Arsenal team. Not so sure he would in the Saints team.
11. Bloody hell. It's just a forum guys. Where people want to talk about Saints to escape reality for a while. I think Gaston is the one for us. More involved in the game - a playmaker. If I had to take one or the other I'd take him. Am seriously hoping the Ox doesn't turn out to be as disappointing as Theo has so far.
12. I was reading their forum yesterday and to a man they appear to want Pardew out. This despite them having just had one of their best seasons since KK. Football fans are fickle. I guess it's no different anywhere, certainly not on here where the likes of Lallana can go from a Championship level player being found out in the Prem to potential England star within a couple of weeks. As always, the truth lies somewhere in the middle.
13. Pace is not important if you have technical ability. Pace with technical ability is great, pace without technical ability = Theo. England always seem to have pacy wingers with no end product. Just look at the Spanish team. Iniesta, Xavi et al. No pace, but don't need it because they are the real deal technically.
14. Can't see that much has changed since MLT was looked over time and again for England because he played for a "small club" and "lacked ambition". If Cork, Lallana, Clyne were playing for one of the top 6, they would all be in the England squad IMO. Yes, Lallana did make the squad but that was on the back of a lot of injuries. We'll see. Interesting question - who do you see in the England squad who is better than these 3 in their positions? Not many I think.
15. Norwich seem to thrive on absorbing pressure and playing on the break. An early goal or two would be most welcome. I am sure Nigel will be aware of the great run they are on and not to underestimate them. Would be happy enough with a point from this one.
16. Must say, he has looked more and more determined as the season has gone on. Really is starting to look like he belongs in the Prem. Lallana that is
17. Just read that article. They give MOTM to Puncheon though?
18. So what?
19. I think he has been in the top 2 or 3 performers this season. Long may it continue. Well worth having him in your fantasy league team at the mo - flying under the radar at about £4.5m
20. Agree Cork has made a big difference to the team since he has come back. Players like him never get the glory. One of Chelsea's best players a few years ago was Makelele - provided the platform for them and France to go and play. However, that's just it - you still need the "skills school" players like Ramirez to go and win you the game. So, your use of the word mongs just makes you look a mong really.
21. In the mad world of premiership football, nothing would surprise me. I wonder how much it would cost Ashley to buy off an 8 year contract.
22. Pards is a top man and top manager. Also has a good eye for a player. I think he has bought one or two stars at every team he has managed
23. I just knew Barry was going to be a rising star in this forum when I read his first couple of posts. Welcome to the asylum Barry :-)
24. Great demonstration of belief there :-)
25. How could you forget our old friend Barry the Briefcase?
