Have seen all the young players make their debut from about 1976 onwards. Brain would say Mr Shearer made the most impressive debut and also went on to achieve the most in International honours. Heart says Stevie Williams - what a lovely lovely player (meant in a totally non gay way :-)). I would trade all of our current midfield for him in his prime. Wasn't young enough to see Mickey's debut but if I had seen it, I have no doubt I would be picking him. One of the few men who can be called a Saints legend.

Once a year me and my 4 brothers in law go on a weekend jolly. Last year we went to the Derby v Saints game. None of them knew anything about Saints but by the end of the game they were all asking about Guly. They thought he was the best player on the pitch. I think he at least deserves a crack at the PL. Who knows, it may suit him better than the lower leagues.

Losing a child must be one of the hardest, probably the hardest thing a person could ever go through in life. I cannot even begin to imagine what I would do. The biggest respect to Billy and his girlfriend. They are facing it with honesty, courage and fortitude beyond their years. Let's all try to support Billy next year as he continues to go through a grieving process which will probably never truly end.

A more apt question would be "When they were in the 3rd tier in 1999 and someone told you that they would get a mega rich crazy owner who would pay breathtakingly large amounts of money on wages to attract the very biggest names in football and be prepared to write said sums of money off, what would you have said?" Cushion 1 looks to have some very unpalatable stains on it, so for me it's cushion 2. I once made a football rattle out of some left over wood in my dad's garage.
