Appalling show of commitment from our players
niceandfriendly replied to Unbelievable Jeff's topic in The Saints
I don't know 100% if this Lovren story is true or not, but it takes 30 seconds to send an email. And when you've hours and hours on your hands during a World Cup campaign, the idea of a player sending one email isn't particularly strange. -
So if it's bad management to get to the final and lose, what is it not to get to the final all together? Like Batman said, means all those other top managers were worse than Mancini. Can't believe people are still trying to dismiss his record .......

Dejan Lovren hands in transfer request

Come again? -
Rooney: "It's not about me scoring or not scoring" Oh I think it just might be.

I love how Liverpool are meant to be so great but all you scousers really wanna be is Southampton. You wanna be little ol' Saints, don't cha?. You little cutie pie!!!!!!!!!!! It'd be much easier for you to just get a ST at St Mary's.

Dejan Lovren hands in transfer request

Cheers Dejan -
Yeah there's absolutely no way Mancini will come here. But having his name mentioned has been well worth it because we've been truly entertained by a few saying they wouldn't want him here.
-
I was thinking about that, and I got the impression the Italians will adapt better to the conditions. I reckon the precious England players will really let it affect them and will already be planning on using it as an excuse. The Italians will just get on with it IMHO

Obviously Mancini would be an incredible appointment for us. Can't see it happening though, we'll see. To have managers of this calibre linked/interested with/in us is pretty great though. Guess we've come a long way.

Any player desperate to get away from Southampton FC at this time is pretty damn spoiled.

Potentially a huge boost for England as Danny Welbeck may have picked up an injury. I'm sure the lad is devastated but it'll be for the greater good if Hodgson isn't given the chance to pick him in the starting line-up. Would give everyone a boost if he was confirmed as out injured (apart from the boy himself and his family obviously). http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/27789874

Not too windy but damn, being up here gives a shocking view of all the 'loving' carers leading their kids into restaurants like McDonalds and filling their kids full of poisonous ****e on a daily basis. Legally, it's your right to poison your nephew this way but morally it's f*cking disgusting, no? Kids of a young age can't possibly know better, but we're old enough to know much, much better.
-
Oh. Well that's good of you to bring a bit of poison into the little lad's life to go with the rest of the days activities. #responsibleparenting

Like like like.

Steve Bruce would be far from a disaster, but still hoping for Koeman now

MK Dons was great, and even though I was there I would say my favourite was the equaliser vs Skates at home. One of my craziest Saints celebrations ever, and shared with my brother in the Northam Kingsland corner. Will never forget that moment.

thank you Rickie... love that man. will keep the avatar you deserve it.
-
Isgrove is a great shout, totally deserves the number 7. Possibly Jake Sinclair or Sam McQueen too.
-
Ward Prowse-James is a good bet, but if (when) he goes to Spurs perhaps Boruc is indeed a good shout.
-
He's clearly kind of gutted to be leaving, despite being excited by a move to Liverpool. That was tough to watch. For some reason I'm more saddened by Lambert leaving than Lallana. I guess Lambert is the modern day hero. Was. When I changed my avatar after the West Brom game I genuinely thought I'd not have to change it again...

Was thinking the same this morning. It's worryingly similar!

Excellent song, and it's so true. Even though we enjoy a good rant and rave about players leaving a football club, the sun is still gonna rise tomorrow and there are plenty of coconuts left to be drunk, so all is not lost.

Accepting the same measly amount of money we paid for Vegard Forren and Rory Delap is not what I would describe as "cashing in". Considering he is our talisman, a hero, our only fit striker, an England international, a World Cup player, the penalty king, a set piece specialist and many other lovely things, 4 million rushed through before the World Cup is basically a theft. Who cares if Rickie wanted to go? If they offered 20p and a pack of biscuits would we have accepted the deal just because Liverpool gave the board a deadline? Amateur hour!

Sorry Wigan, I only listen to you when you're wearing a wig and sat in front of t'camera.

Obviously I know Ronald Koeman but my knowledge of what he has actually achieved on a managerial level is sadly, seriously lacking. Can anyone fill me in, can you fill me in, can you fill me on in?
