I've now decided I'm going to go on Tuesday night, it's a local one for me really. Just checked, 50p increase on match day prices, CHARLTON CHAIRMAN OUT.
-
I wasn't around for our last promotion campaign, another reason I need to get to as many away games as possible this season before I finally leave the country for good. Can't afford to miss Saints games now, these could be ones we remember forever. COYF**KINGR

Good to hear. Hope they heard the Marcus Liebherr chants, I'm sure Nicola will have pointed them out.
-
Had another good game for us tonight, I thought. He's exactly the sort of player opposing sides hate to face, dangerous in front of goal, never gives you a moments rest and he holds the ball up well. The latter being something I think he's improved on a lot this season actually.
-
I think Andy Crosby has a lot to do with some of them, Adkins has mentioned him a few times regarding set pieces we've scored from.
-
Yeah, not really a surprise is it Mack Rill? A lot of us Saints are also fans of cricket, and use knives and forks when we eat, you know, upper class stuff.
-
We've signed plenty of good players by keeping it quiet. All this talking won't be helping Howards cause at all, come on we know how Mr Cortese likes to do things.
-
You two really must get a room. Orient are winning, they're on fire.
-
Lol, well done, we all admire your great footballing knowledge mate. Shame about the postponement, friends of mine will now have to miss this one having previously bought tickets, very disappointed that it's allowed to happen to be honest.
-
What on earth was that for? Nothing wrong with what the OP said, or are we not allowed to discuss players who are off form because we are league 1 ffs? I actually agree completely with the OP about the players he mentioned (apart from Kelv, whose distribution hasn't got any worse in recent games, it's just always been terrible) but they're all vital figures who need to start every game really for us to stand a chance of promotion. It's great that even though some of them aren't at the top of their game right now we're still getting good results.

Agreed, Pride Park was special, great memories from that night. Any more pictures or videos from yesterday chaps?
-
One of the best away atmosphere I've experienced for a long time, it helps tremendously when we're allowed to stand.
-
Yep. Now Gobern and Morgan are out it leaves a big hole, thankfully it seems Adkins already has someone lined up going by his post match interview.
-
Having rewatched the highlights, clearly a red. Ooops, I was wrong he didn't slip at all. Quite funny actually

Could you not hear us on the radio? Not sure what others think, but I felt the atmosphere from the saints fans was brilliant. -
Agree kpturner. A real shame he got sent off as he came on and again looked good.

Brilliant away day, haven't got a voice anymore though. It was a cracking game, both teams played pretty well, it was very end to end. Motm yet again Adam Lallana, but special mentions to Lee Barnard and Dean Hammond. Edit.. And as a side note, it seemed that the ref got the big decisions right. Their goal came off butter field so can't have been offside, despite being very, very lucky, and it didn't look like a penalty for them. The biggest indicator of that was how none of the Bournemouth players appealed for it. And it was a red card. Gobern was very very unfortunate though, he slipped right as he was making the challenge, vbut you still have to send him off unfortunately. -
Yeah, god they couldn't get out quick enough could they!
-
Aaaahahaha, I knew as soon as the poor lad slipped and got himself sent off that his critics would have a field day on this thread. Lynch him lynch him!!! No, let's be rational for a minute here. He did dive in, and he was very unlucky that he slipped at just the wrong time, but let's not let that overshadow the fact that he's clearly got a lot of talent and has a big future here, Adkins agrees.
-
Lol, what do you reckon? Think he might be trying to tell us he wants to leave the club by his Twitter name?
-
Absolutely. What's most incouraging about Gobern is his ability to tackle despite not being the biggest physically and then doing something creative. He's probably a player who would actually benefit from us staying down one more season, but if (when, please when) we go up we can always loan him out to a League One club if he isn't quite up to NPC level at that point.
-
Has anyone else been impressed with Goberns little cameo sub appearances in recent weeks? Whenever he's come on he looks assured, strong in the tackle and has a decent first time shot on him too. Look at the Forte chance yesterday, all down to Oscar making a well timed challenge in the middle and slotting a decent ball through only for it to be squandered, and he almost scored when he made a great chance for himself a few minutes later. Could be another gem for the future if his development continues.

Charlton away Tuesday 22nd March tickets

any idea if there are still some available? -
No, I remember saying how important he was when he was in the team. We know he wasn't a god, but I do agree that he'd be first choice in our team right now if he could perform how he did for us when he wasn't crocked.
