  1. And yet they've not been in the relegation places all season. So its hardly a leap of faith to say that it looked like they could stay up.
  2. Good outcome all round. Hope they go down now.
  3. Good lord. 2 points from 6 games, against whoever you're playing, is a poor run. No wins in 6. 1 win in 9. If you're that precious about form, we can call it a 100% record in our last 1 games, if you like?
  4. 2 points from 6 games is a poor run. Great to buck that trend.
  5. Leon Osman started today instead of Barkley (came on as sub) I'm sure they can work something out. Slightly differing positions but then can line up with a good attacking midfield without really dropping much in quality.
  6. Completely agree.
  7. After what he's done after just 2 games back, Walcott has to be a genuine contender for a starting spot. Absolutely on fire since his return.
  8. Great result. We now find ourselves in nomansland. 4 points off the top 8, 6 points clear of the bottom 11. Which way will we progress.........?
  9. This from a Stokie: Ref having a shocker. Stoke were 1-0 up and cruising, Whelan sent off for two yellows, neither were. Penalty to Newcastle (it was), another debatable red. Penalty saved, up the other end, clear handball by Williamson, ref misses it, straight up the other end Newcastle score for 1-1. Awful reffing. Hughes has been sent to the stand too. All before half time!!
  10. Playing against 9 men makes you look a little better than normal.
  11. JRod has got some serious scoring to be done if he wants to get on the plane; that was an opportunity to get a tiny chance and he didn't take it. Roy has already said that there will be no more surprises in the squad, and JRod would be an enormous surprise. Not out of the question but I wouldn't think he had the slightest chance. Same reason why Luke Shaw has no chance. Kieran Gibbs is the de facto third choice LB. JRod's goal scoring form for us since the England game has, hats off, been brilliant.
  12. I'm sure he'll be devastated...
  13. It's Saints FFS. Anything can happen. #tranmere
  14. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would say it is very important.
  15. Yep, the negative energy on here could have a disastrous effect on the team's performance today FFS.
  16. There's also a case to be made for ditching stability when your goalkeeper has conceded 10 goals in his last 4 and a bit games. Not that Kelvin is much of an alternative option IMO. We really have been exposes with Boruc's absence.
  17. Southampton FC ‏@SouthamptonFC4m Kelvin Davis returns to the #SaintsFC bench after injury, replacing @codycropper.
  18. For a side that won the league by double digits last year, its absolutely atrocious.
  19. Fletcher is in midfield. Valencia just went to right back.
  20. Stuart Pearce used to get a rough deal at the Dell. Pearce took out one of ours with a "robust" tackle and Neil Ruddock got him back with a tackle that must have come in with one of Ruddock's legs at chest height; disgusting foul. Blatant red these days but Razor just got a ticking off and a yellow.
  21. Predictable. But United's back 4 of Rafael, Evans, Smalling, Evra is shamefully poor.
  22. United currently 2-1 down to Hull (having been 2-0 down after 13 minutes). I think United need a bit more than Adam Lallana to sort themselves out. David M:lol:yes. (I still think they've finish this season in 3rd or 4th though )
