  1. The "worry" with the accounts is that they're usually 12-18 months out of date by the time they're published; so really they only serve to clarify what was considered to be fact well before that.
  2. Forgive me Father but I have an agenda. I'm not a huge fan of our chairman. He's done some very good things, but I think in a whole number of areas he could be doing so much better. And given that he has everyone's dream job (running the club we all support spending lavishly with someone else's vast sums of money), I object to the way that the club under his stewardship has become a completely closed shop and has cosseted itself away from any sort of direct questioning by the fans and local media. But most of all, I don't like the polarisation on here that expressing such views mean that I'm "anti-Cortese" or trying to destabilise the club. I just think he/it could do things better. I consider this place to be a virtual "pub"; chat with some familiar names, have a laugh, take the p*ss, and be taken the p*ss out of. A lot of the decent posters recognise that and will engage with it; a lot of people take it all far too seriously and get all uppity about a point of view or a wind-up, which kind of acts as an encouragement to turn the screw a bit more and play up to the stereotype. Oh, and I enjoy bickering with MLG far, far more than I should. His refusal to admit when he's wrong is hilarious and I just can't resist egging him on.
  3. I'm not sure which of my agendas I should go with. I'll sleep on it.
  4. I hope their figures have taken PKF's fees into account.....can't see Tricky Trev waiving his Xmas hamper and New year's bonus any time soon. I truly have no idea what's going on here. I'm assuming the figures at the bottom are not related to the bar charts above. Or something. Cash carried forward seems to go up after year 1 despite making a heavy loss. And as for the shoddiness of the document itself; just, wow. I'm no graphic designer by trade but I've put together quite a few similar-type documents in the past and they're light years ahead of that pile of sh*te. Surely they could have got one of the 2,000 bestest who have pledged to tart it up a little bit and not have it looking like an averagely put together junior school IT project. Embarrassing. Edit: F*ck me, it took 7 of them to come up with that stinking pile of turd
  5. Will you be doing the same, Diggory? I'm intrigued as to the intricacies and motivations behind your hidden agenda, and I'm glad that it will be exposed once and for all.
  6. I'm yet to work out who it is or what it does, Diggers. Until then I haven't got the first idea whether I'm with it or against it.
  7. This thread is utterly head mental.
  8. Religious symbology has no place within a uniform.
  9. Well that will be wonderful news if true.
  10. From one of the PST organisers.... Nice to see that PKF will get their Christmas and New Year's bonus.
  11. Well done, PST. You now have a period of exclusivity. Oh wonderful news! Who else was looking to bid, then? Well, erm, Portpin suspended their bid. And, well, erm.....
  12. Well, I'm confused now. I've never met Turkish, let alone made tea for him. What a strange thing to ask. But the answer is, quite clearly, no.
  13. Who are these people, young Charles? They should be outed so that we can all see their propaganda for what it is. Names, my lad; we need names.
  14. You're thinking of Donny Osmond.
  15. A point that I'm sure Portpin will be stressing to the courts when they're being asked to justify why they think their charge is worth more than the PST's offer, and more in accordance with previous legal valuations provided by administrators.
  16. Can I get sued for saying that I find Mike Osman about as funny as a kick in the testicles?
  17. Alas I would do no such thing, I am a mere spazboard serf. I fear a seat amongst the glitterati mongboard elite is beyond me.
  18. In SRS style; you wish you were me.
  19. I think you're wasting your breath, John. It seems to be common thinking on here that because we're having a look at one player we can't possibly be looking at any others at the same time. The rest of our whole scouting network is sat around twiddling its thumbs while one or two of our scouts check the progress of a cheap young foreign future prospect.
  20. I have no "sides". And I didn't realise there was a gang either. Hey ho.
  21. I love how these stories come out every now and then; as if Premier League clubs don't have a whole base of scouts who are reviewing certain targets at games every single week. But then I suppose the headline "One of Saints' scouts watches a player" isn't that great a headline.
  22. I was just reading my programme from the '76 Cup Final the other day. But I got is as a gift for my birthday a few years back; so I don't really want to give it away. In which case, I really have nothing to add to this thread at all.
  23. Indeed; and this one is worse than ever. Silly.
  24. Sorry, I must be missing the point. I don't understand how that answers the assertion that: "Well if they are unavailable then they aren't realistic by definition."
  25. How so? Managers in work, say in League 1, are [arguably] realistic targets to us. They are also [at present time] unavailable to us; at least until we make an official approach to their clubs.
