  1. He also said something the other day along the lines of “if a team from a higher level comes in for a player or the manager”, kind of seemed like he’s sitting on a job switch. Don’t think his stock is high enough for a PL gig so Germany would make some sense.
  2. I’ve got a feeling Rohl has a Bundesliga gig lined up for next season.
  3. I read a quote, I think attributed to Ivan Juric. Not sure how valid it is but it said: Apr 03: 'He had a problem with the tendons. For the medical staff, it is not enough not to train, but he refers that he has a lot of pain and this is the situation.' So, not great if true.
  4. No doubt he’s a good manager, but he’s only just joined Derby after leaving Blackburn because he saw Derby as a better long term prospect. Money talks, but he’s on a contract until 2028 and getting him out of that could be very tricky unless his heart was set on it.
  5. I don’t quite buy that. I don’t see KWP, THB, Bednarek or Lesley being here next season, and maybe add Flynn Downes to that list, but they’re all being picked by Rusk. I think he just has his idea of what his best side is and he’s largely sticking to it. I think Tall Paul would be leading the line constantly were it not for his injury. I said it yesterday, the Gronbaek signing is a confusing one, just utterly pointless.
  6. It’s really an absolute disgrace that a man who has never shown he is deserving of a Premier League starting place can command that sort of salary. He was the skipper and still shouldn’t have been deserving of a starting place in the championship ffs.
  7. Yeah that’s where I’m at too. Like others I felt the whole captain thing really put Martin in a difficult position with Stephens, he basically was under pressure to play him when fit. As I said, I thought we were better with 4 at the back and when Bednarek THB were our CBs. It was, for me, a really strange decision to make Stephens skipper.
  8. As long as he stays in the dressing room while the rest go out to play, no problem. He can do a proper sweeper’s job.
  9. Depends on what level of the Championship you’re talking about. Personally I wasn’t all that disappointed when he got injured last season and it forced us to play bendy and THB for much of the season. Cant deny Stephens did ok when he came back in later in the season but I thought we were a better team with two centre backs not three, and he was the third (in my opinion).
  10. That maybe true but I can see the likes of Bednarek, Sulemana, Aribo and Tall Paul going abroad. Reckon THB will have no bother getting a PL side to pick him up, if not for a starting spot. In other news, what on earth was the Gronbaek signing about? Hes even lesser spotted than Ross Stewart.
  11. Burnley got 100 points in the championship and still didn’t win the division.
  12. The DoC was a devious and unscrupulous enemy.
  13. Bangers was absolutely hatstand. Such a complete whopper.
  14. He’d probably end up arguing with himself.
  15. Captain Jack 😍
  16. Look at his little face.
  17. And there I was thinking that having a year or two off of Saintsweb would make MLG a better man. It’s just the opposite. I had faith too. How misplaced. MLG, I’m more disappointed in you than I am in myself, but only just.
  18. Looking forward to the VAR review on this one.
  19. Twitter (X) is a cesspit tbf. I’ve had a lifelong aversion to it. Playing for attention in it is awful behaviour IMO.
  20. No, thank you,
  21. Sounds like nonsense to me.
  22. Love or like? I mean, it’s a big difference. If less than 1% of people like your post, then that’s a bit of a tragedy. But, phrasing it differently, if almost 1% of people love your post. Well, that’s slightly less tragic. It could make such a change in perception.
  23. Technically it’s a love button (or a heart ). Which is not the same.
  24. And I’m sure thousands did exactly that in this case, no doubt 👍
